    I last used a hexi stove in 1976 with the army. A great cooker that made being outdoors a lot more bearable. Thanks , Sincerely,for showing one here.

    Ì have used them in the passed, in my former rn service in 1980s. Still have one somwhere.
    Very basic but will do basic things, like make a cup of tea etc in the field.
    .
    I have a black one not gold and no cup stand. But look the same.

    Hexii Burners Lasted Longer And Took Up Less Storage Space And You Got More Than 1 Hexi Block

    Use the hexamine - it's not going to kill you if used sensibly.

      Thanks, I’m new to Hexi, have used it to light charcoal and it burns clean. I still have it and thinking of using it in my Ghillie Kettle. None of it will be wasted 👍

      @@InfoZhedExplore used it in ghilli kettle, but, break into 1/4, use it to start fire, then put in lots of small twigs, in hole at top,

      Tried using small pieces as a fire starter and it works great.

    got 6 stoves, and 50 boxes of hexes, old type, 40yrs old, nothing wrong with them, best type of cooker in war time, or exercise, or day camping,

      Great Job. 50 boxes that should keep you going for years.

    Anyone know if the US style canteen cup fits in the holder on the hexi stove?

    • @InfoZhedExplore
      @InfoZhedExplore  2 роки тому +2

      Good question, the BCB heavy duty mug fits perfectly. The US style differs in size slightly and so is very unlikely to fit.

      It 'should' as long as you fold the sides to 45 degrees to make a smaller pan support

    Why did they change the design?

    • @DieyoungDiefast
      @DieyoungDiefast 2 роки тому +3

      Basically they've changed the fuel. First change was to make the stove fit round the standard water bottle and use gel sachets. The latest version looks like the old stove but uses solid alcohol gel blocks

    I got my 1st Esbit in Germany in 1975. Reforger. Civilian type, so no cup holder. It held a U S cup or C ration can just fine on half cock.
