I use the BCB along with the Dragon gel, I like the fact that the gel burns cleaner and you really don't have to worry about using it in a closed environment like you do with the hexamine which puts out a small amount of toxic fumes. Great video I really enjoy watching you.

Only just come across this video, so apologies for the late comment.
I have an identical stove, branded Out-D (probably Chinese) and it's an awesome little solid fuel stove.
Using UK size hexi tabs, it's a very good performer. Perfect for a brew or to heat up a boil in the bag meal.
I use it regularly on days out of overnighters.

I did read somewhere that Hexi was made to be hard to set fire so that when its being moved if the transport gets hit it doesn't go 'whoosh' quite so easily. I know one of my jobs as an instructor was always getting amongst the cadets helping them light it my jet lighter as none of them couldn't. I think I did that twice and didn't have enough time to cook myself so bought myself a jetboil so I could get mine on in seconds and then do the needful with the cadets.

Hexi for me here in Australia if I am not using an alcohol burner. Dragon gel hard to get and pricey.

@@loremice6809 They are but just not to make toast on lol. The fumes are toxic but they don't enter the water or food if you're cooking in a pot/pan/mess tin/canteen cup. I'm sure there were myths about squaddies toasting bread above them and getting sick lol.
