Woolicombe to Bull Point Lighthouse
I absolutely love travelling along challenging rugged coastlines. Fresh sea breeze in my face, unfamiliar ground underfoot and uncertainty of what the weather will throw out. Experiences like this I find exhilarating and really fun.
Was at a loose end so filmed my short journey from Woolicombe to Bull Point Lighthouse. Can highly recommend it if you are in the area. My footage does not do this wonderful coastline any justice. It is something a person has to experience to fully appreciate the wonders nature.
Have you been walking along the Southwest Costal Path?
I am open to recommendations.

Bought some Costco burgers and they reminded me of a Wimpy cheese burger I had as a kid so decided to make my own. Bun mix (well bun ish) I made from a Gluten Free mix of 50g buckwheat flour and 50g Dove Farm bread flour mixed in with a little bicarbonate of soda and cream of tartar to give it some rise and and egg to bind it together. Also threw in a few dried herbs for fun. Enjoyable little o...
Lixada Titanium folding Wood Stove

Thought I would try one of these Lixada Titanium Wood stoves. First impressions were really positive considering I purchased this with a titanium alcohol stove for very little money as they were in the Amazon sale. All was well until I looked at the actual functionality of the little titanium stove. Boil plate placement is a little high and not suitable for a Trangia alcohol stove due to it bei...
Pier to Pier Way Route 33

There is a new cycle route just opened quite close to me so thought I would oil the Dawes Galaxy Cross and give it a go. I picked up the route from Worle train station and headed off. Cycled to the sea at Clevedon. Brought along a new stove and ground chair just to see how they perform along with my trusty Silverant teapot. All music is from my Artist paid subscription. First outing with my new 750ml pot with bail handle that was kindly sent to me from Silverantoutdoors. It is exceptionally well made and weighs next to nothing due to being constructed of 100% Titanium. As with all Silverant products I have tried it is exceptionally well made and a pleasure to use. With the exception of Zebra Billy Cans just about all of my outdoor cooking pots have handles on ...

Macro Photography Have always wanted to try Macro Photography but do not have the budget for expensive kit. Bought a second hand macro lens made by Tamron and used it with my Cannon M50 camera. I bought the M50 a while back to make UA-cam videos. Coupled these together with my Viltrox adapter this converts my camera to accept EF Canon lenses. The idea was to use what I have and just buy the min...

Snugpak Antarctic Mat - Things you should know ! I purchased the Snugpak Antarctic Mat about a year or so ago and having used it reasonable amount have documented my thoughts on the product. In my view calling this an Antarctic Mat is pure marketing hype to get attention and sell the product. To be fair Snugpak do not give any warmth ratings but I feel just by adding the word Antarctic in the n...

Fire Maple Lotus Stove - Will your alcohol stove and pot fit?
I guess you could make a pizza oven out of the rest of your fire brick. Or you could line up woodstove with them. They were just like masonry, traditional fire bricks. Just lighter weight.
Le mieux reste d'écarter le collier avec une petite pince 🤷🏻♂️ c'est pas parce qu'il à été concu pour le faire avec n'importe quoi quand on n'a rien qu'il faut le faire avec n'importe quoi.
Worked perfectly 👌
Glad it helped you 👍
can a tube pan or Bundt pan meant for cakes be used over another small burner set up?
Interesting though. Probably not enough heat to cook but maybe enough to keep warm 👍
Good stuff! Maybe I'll be getting one of these for my hammock, but it's probably overkill since I already got the DD underblanket plus I usually double down with a foam sleeping pad inside the hammock so it also spreads it out a wee bit! 👌
Millets - stove + 12 tablets for £8.
just love real video reviews, not the best sound, not the best focused camera. real life, nit pretending Hollywood movie !!! thanks !
Thank you for the review. This just popped up in my feed, and I am looking for something for a bugout bag. I live in Wisconsin, and it can get insanely cold here. I definitely wanted something I could use to get off the ground. You proved this will not work for my application and saved me a bunch of money. Thanks again!
Glad it was helpful to you. I was really disappointed in the product 👍
Theas safe alcohol stove does come in handy especially when you want to save yourself from toating a heavy gas tank up a steap hill
Thank you 😊👌
Where do you buy vermiculite bricks with EU shipping ?
Hi Amazon sell them or eBay
Thank you , that helped. From South Africa.
I used the same method on Mt Andre Verdier knives.
Thanks for sharing this was really interesting as zi have just shifted from aluminium to titanium for my wild camping 👍😎
Price ?
Pliers are fine-or ice cube tongs. I use the upside down skillet for a lid when possible. I’m always afraid I’ll lose the magnet; I’m going to need a foolproof way to keep track of it.
.......
How about fire dragon gel with some silver foil
I have the Trangia 27. I'd love to find a GSI (or other brand) stainless steel kettle that would fit in the 27. I have a kettle by Redcamp that "almost" fits. The spout sits on the lip of the Trangia pot and there is just barely enough space to make it work with the fry pan. But it would be great to find on just a bit smaller or differently designed to fit as well as the Trangia kettle. Ya know, Trangia could solve this problem themselves by manufacturing a 27 kettle out of anodized aluminum and stainless steel. Obviously there is a market for them.
You deep fried stuff in the woods with an alcohol burner and a mess kit! Damn, that's a premier right there. Not the kind of food one thinks about when preparing something on the woods with limited facilities. But you pulled it off 😀. An easy tip to kick it up a notch: just take a potato and slice it there. Leaps and bounds tastier than pre-fried frozen stuff.
I use the aluminium pot that night-light candles are in. The tall ones are best.
Which alcohol burner do you use in the stove InfoZ? I have tried mine with a little 20ML burner and it just doesn't hold enough fuel, and my shoe polish tin burners are just that bit too big.
There are lots of alcohol stoves out there that would probably be suitable. I use Speedsterstoves a lot and really like them. Cheap and simple. XBoil alcohol stove is good. Try to stay away from expensive shallow titanium stoves they are not great for this purpose. Hope that helps👍
What about filling the bottom with carbon felt and then just use alcohol?
GSI is good stuff.
Ref the puck stove you lost nearly all the fuel when you put it on the fuel, put the puck into a small tin it will last longer
That is not how you soldier 😂
I've just subscribed I love the Primus stoves been using them for years ❤
They are great fun to play with. Appreciated, thanks for the support 👍
Awesome looking walk 👌👍
Doesn’t come close to the excitement of your trips but yes it was awesome 👍
Nice video. I liked the use of the map and arrows to show your routing.
Thanks, I was trying to do something a little different. Got a lot to work on to make the best content achievable. It was a wonderful trip 👍
@@InfoZhedExplore what are you editing on? I found your channel recently! Great stuff. Can't remember if I was watching your videos about titanium pots or the naturehike tents
@KarlsQuest Hi, Final Cut and have started using music from Epidemic Sound. Used to use Luma Fusion for editing with an iPad but had to upgrade to a MacBook as need the additional processing power and memory. Recently signed up to Epidemic sound as used to use Artlist and Luma Fusion. Have found Epidemic better with more choice. Although Final Cut is not perfect it offers huge scope in editing. There is a lot to learn and I have only scratched the surface really. The way I am learning on it is to spend the time learning something new on each video to build up a knowledge base, this should lead to a quicker workflow. Hope that answers your question 👍
@@InfoZhedExplore that some great tips for the music! I am using davinci resolve, but music I am been having problem finding source I trust and like, doing UA-cam roality free music but kind of terrible selection. Wonder when my audience catches on to me with the same 7 songs 😅 Thanks so much for such a detailed answer! Looking forward to watching your upcoming videos and going through your older stuff
Got same titanium and been using it for 4 years now I think? It's fantastic little thing!
I use a Chinese steel canteen that comes with a lid in tandem with the mk2 cooker. Cheaper and thinner steel than the crusader but still fine and thinner is lighter and quicker boiling time.
I don't understand why guys like yourself insist on having to reach down into the windscreen to get access to the burner for lighting the fuel, snuffing out the fuel, adjusting the simmer ring etc.. That windscreen upper section has a quick twist out of the way function. Remove the upper windscreen and you have clear and wide open access to the burner minimizing your chances of being burned. The Trangia is a hard burner to blow out so even with the upper ring of the windscreen removed it will still keep burning long enough for you to get the upper ring back on again after making your adjustments. You don't try to light a kerosene lamp by inserting a match down the chimney......you lift the chimney and light from the bottom. The Trangia is just as simple and made that way for a reason.
Thanks very much for this. Very helpful. Was tempted to get one based on Snugpak's ad. You covered and confirmed all my reservations. 👍 Thanks!
Glad I saved you some cash 👍
Thank you for this simple and gentle method. Best regards from Germany NRW
Any bottle opener particularly a Victorinox SAK does the job like a dream
The 240 is probably not enough for that hot pot unit but it should work on the Jackery 300 on the low hot pot setting. I wonder if it's labeled incorrectly at 150 watts.. We have a Jackery 300 and used a small hotpot called My Mini. It drew just over 200 watts and worked! It's too small for general use though, and I want to get my mom an emergency Jackery set up. I'm hoping the Jackery 300 will work on this type of unit.
My Dad used split ring pliers or his SAK bottle opener.

Yes it is not SOTO it’s a clone 👍
Do you know if I can fit the Trangia chopping board in the 25 cook set, whilst also having the GSI kettle? That’s the ultimate cook set. Just about to purchase the 25 Duossal, it’s twice the price of the aluminium set but stainless steel all the way for me.
Hi, I got my hands on some cheap flexible cutting boards and cut one to fit, works perfectly. If you go on Trangia website they got all the specs. I too thought about the Duossal but could not get one, am very happy with HA set 👍
Despite being made in china, stainless steel all the way. Good review thanks.
Are these meant to use once and toss or to refill / re-saturate and use for years to come? Do they get all black and sooty?
Hi, they are meant to re-saturate and reuse. Idea is good but practicality is poor, really soft material and a lot of hassle from my experience. Better to stick with traditional alcohol stove. Great question 👍
Nice review. Filmed on one of my favourite running routes. I actually camped on beacon batch last weekend.
Thanks for the review. Can you send a link to the air May you like in the video or one you know is good Thanks again
Hi, I bought a decathlon air mat www.decathlon.co.uk/p/trekking-inflatable-mattress-mt900-air-insulator-xl-195-x-63-cm-1-person/_/R-p-324583 best mat I have owned. The caveat is that although it works for me it may not work for you. The MT 900 is deep and rather will insulated I have been using this for a few months and find it really comfortable. Only downside I found is that when letting some air out to get the comfort level to suit me a person has to be careful not to pull the stopper out or it rapidly deflates. As a side sleeper I really enjoy the support under my hip and do not touch the floor. Quality outdoor kit is quite expensive so make sure you research thoroughly before purchasing. Not sure this has helped and good luck with your search 👍
Great video, just what I was looking for, thank you. :-)
🤩🤩🤩 Mate this is one of the best camp cookouts I've seen 🥰🥰🥰 Keep up with the great work 🤩
You can also fill the alcohol tab tub with fire rope and then pour meths or bio ethanol on top which turns it into a crude trangia 👍
Jaime Hymen..had to think for a minute but it was on the tip of my tongue.. Hymen!😂
Thank you brother you've helped me with my house dumb concealed cistern. I'm 26 and and videos like this are life savers. Always worth having a go yourself just so we know these things Edit: just for added story I changed my flush pipe today using an older video of yours which has now made me realise I need to do the cistern too so I'll be back on this video for repair number 2
Thanks.
Nice one....Very kool
I also wanted to by the Soto branded one but just could not get in Aus. Mine sits in picnic kit for making tea coffee and the occasional suasage fry or toasted sandwich
I have bad mine for many years now and love it. Were it lighter (titanium?) I would take it backpacking. I use wood exclusively in mine but the options for fuel are endless really. Thanks for the video.
