We are but it's not as major of an update as like a whole region. Only expect maybe 1 weapon and/or armor set next month. Also, augmenting has never been cheaper to do since of the seasonal event, mission pass, and easier exchanging of augments! Ultimately though, it's up to you if you want to wait
@@CriticasterQ cool thanks man, I came with the PS crowd and have been deliberating on spending capsules. Appreciate the feedback, good video as always!
imo it sorta depends on what type of build you play (and what the prices on your ship are). If on Ship 2, tech builds are extremely cheap to build for compared to Melee due to Ams Soul III being 2k each while Frostyl Soul III is 20k each, so you can get a lot farther with a budget build in this case. I haven't checked the price for Croc Soul III, which is the ranged potency equivalent, but considering it has a UQ I wouldn't be surprised if its similarly inexpensive
It seems like you'll probably always have expected new upgrades so if you keep saying "is it worth it" you'll always be putting it off. If anything just use level 1 or 2 capsules or level 3s that might not be the best but still give you good stats for your build.
So as I understand it, you're able to replace augments. I know you can only add 1 augment of a "group" to gear. So for example, only one type of "X/Soul". My concern is: If I add something simple for some quick BP like Dolls/Soul, am I stuck only to be able to replace it with another augment of the X/Soul group, or can I replace it with like a X/Gigas as long as the Gigas isn't in another slot? HELP.
What's your opinion on how they changed augmenting in NGs? I find it a little too dumbed down. I understand that it was a little too complicated in base PSO2 but removing augment slots and special combinations that would boost success rate kinda makes it just too easy. It was what made augmenting interesting/unique in the first place when comparing to other MMOs. In base PSO2, no augments were worthless because it was used to increase augment slots at the very least but in NGs many of them are completely worthless. There are ways to exchange them now but the rates are pretty bad. I guess at least they are trying to make those useless augment usable in same way.
Nobody has went through each weapon. All you guys tell people how to augment and maybe how to augment your favorite weapon but nobody has went through the best or what you should strive for for each weapon.
Most the augment setups for each weapon will be the same. It all depends on what your using melee, ranged or tech. There are some small differences you can apply but that is up to the player. You can pretty much copy and paste the augment choices between weapons and units
What augments to use are more based on the potency type and not exactly the weapon itself. So all melee weapons will have the same build for instance. Like I said in the beginning of this video though is that a lot of the augments you use is up to player preference, so some may not want pure damage and would want to use something like a dread keeper which gives everything else. Look forward to an augment progression guide soon though for a more specific and thorough explanation

Life saving guide. Was getting frustrated, glad I found your video. Thanks!
You should make videos for budget / max out build for melee/range/tech augment build as well as remix builds like Bouncer's melee+tech combo
Will do!
Just in general is it even worth augmenting right now? We're getting a level cap increase in like 2 weeks right? Wouldn't that mean new gear as well?
