I love the KV-2 with half of my heart (almost 150 games with it)
Take out the IS-3 and IS-6 with Pe-8 combo for maximum bias! In a downtier a lot of vehicles will struggle to pen you, especially in the IS-3, with the IS-6 you need to wiggle the turret a bit if you are close range to make sure it's hard to hit the small weakspot in the turret front.

Reload on the Kv-2 is 36+ seconds (don’t recall the actual number off the top of my head) and the AP doesn’t trigger on bushes or soft obstacles that the HE does which is why it’s used by some

As Russian I can say the most iconic tank of ours from Great Patriotic War is, what is obviously, IS-2 and T-34(76/85), KV-2 is just a very.... specific tank. But yeah, in War Thunder it's really iconic.

AP for shooting through walls fences, weak buildings and railroad cars. Otherwise use HE and hit low on the turret so the blast will crush through the deck, or even hid beneath and blow them up through the floor.

Wonder what type of shell are better against fortified position, High Explosive or High Explosive - Plastic (Squash head) in real life? Leopard 2 only use HEAT as main explosive round
Leopard 2s actually have access to HE ammunition (DM11? I think it was). Although I never used it myself. But HESH is definitely going to be more effective against things like concrete walls and structures if your intention is to create a large hole in the walls. HEAT can still be effective if your just intending to attack anyone inside the walls, however.
It's also worth mentioning that the HEAT round used by some Leo2s (DM12A1) is also fitted with a fragmentation sleeve for effects more similar to a typical HE round, albeit arguably less effectively.
KV-2 has like 30 seks reload, not 12-13. And as soon as you loose anybody in the turret it will be way longer :D

As a long-time user of both the IL-2 and the Pe-3, I strongly recommend the IL-2 since it's much better than the Pe-3. Sure, you've got less bomb load, but on the other hand you can drop your bombs significantly more accurately (although I don't know why) and have better manuverability and guns.
I seem to have the opposite experience lol. My IL-2 runs never go well but my Pe-3 runs sometimes do. No idea why really

Because the picture was better. But also, it's not entirely wrong since it's still technically a KV-2.
