- The Fox might just be the most fun I've had in a tiny, annoying tank in War Thunder. War Thunder's Light Tanks can be annoying to play but this is annoying in a whole different way.

That "weird game mode" isn't new. It's the old Battle mode but with a reskin.
Before, you had 6000 tickets, so 60kills×100tickets=6000tickets which meant you lost the game if your team racked up 60 deaths Or you could also lose if the enemy team captured your point. Only thing they changed is that instead of the 6000 tickets countdown, you now have a 0-60 kill count.

@@generictag1050 call it whatever you want, it used to be and I believe it still is called "Battle". You have to either capture the enemy's point or kill 60 enemies.
I find your remark that the Fox's place isn't direct combat, I've dropped multiple nukes in the glorious little thing and the BR changes released today show it going to 7.7, the gremlin is a gorgeous little fox, taking kills when it's unexpected
I literally just uptier mine and it’s A-okay. I’ve uptiered it with the Falcon so get 9.3 games a lot. In about 90(?) games, I’ve dropped about 12 nukes solely with the fox since it’s introduction.

What's more ironic is that in the proposed BR changes for April released today, the Fox will be moved to Rank V & a new BR of 7.7 and most people knew it would happen, but this badly.
I've already been using the Fox on 7.7 and 8.3 sometimes, it's somewhat better there because there's a lot more light vehicles
I am literally getting nukes after nukes with fox at 7.7-8.3+ BRs because it's broken OP if you know the game. It was incredibly painful to watch this video with so many wasted opportunities.

the SAP / APHE rounds are fantastic for thin skinned vehicles. I can semi-reliably kill the entire turret crew of an M109 in one hit, and the kind of vehicles that have a RoF advantage over you are also thin enough to be one-shot by that round.
I once put an 8.8 cm round into the engine of this thing. It broke the radiators and turned the engine yellow. He then proceeded to kill me in three shots
The "Deathmatch"-style of battles were in the game before the patch, it just was badly shown.
Before the new UI element you just had the tickets to see which team was doing better.
Now it just translate that info into a neat UI.
In these battles you either win by tickets, no one left on the enemy team or by capping.
Capping takes forever but after the takeover it takes like 10 sec to bleed all the enemy tickets.

i used the fox to outplay and kill 3 tiger II's and a t44 in the same fight. think I have a 2kd with this thing, don't think I can see how many scouted assists i've had, its few, but the fox is really good. Players are getting better against it but I still use it at 7 and 8.0 no problem. This thing pops ammo really well tiger 2s are almost always a one shot to the side of the turret.
You are not wrong about rate of fire shooting down the plane. The no.1 most important thing about AA is not firepower, but it is rate of fire. Even with highly advanced missile defense system people usually shoot 2 as a sure sure way the target is gonna die.
One of the few vehicles that an uptier might not be making the gameplay worse. Once they have leo1 and amx30s out, you could potentially do better than facing the ironclads.
I have a suggestion it’s a challenge,you should play the French tech tree reserve all the way to highest BR that you have
Wyvern not Wivvern. Long suffering GB Mains seem to do well in this. Maybe it's the experience of using solid shot which needs careful placement? I spaded it using the fuller GB 7.7 lineup and it was a walk in the park.
APDS, pick your fights, shoot through the side below the upper track. Cripple everything and get a ton of assists. Had a 10 kill 8 assist game a few hours ago. Avoid shooting the turret expect for back shots

I wonder if i should grind this to make a complete 10.3 lineup. I have the two challies, TTD, khalid, and Rooikat. Currently working to get the vickers MBT to replace the mk2 chally.
barrel damage was been wonky lately. 120 HEAT just bounces away like nothing
You can pen most enemies in their sides. That pershing on jungle for example. You got to flank with this tank, it excells at that

Also you should carry a little of the aphe ammo for light tanks you would had taken out the T92 easier.
actually this thing however can block .50 cal frontally and probably effectively side if it keep moving. i know that because grinding american in 7.0 to 8.0 was a god damn pain when brit as ur enemies and they spawn foxes and ur useful .50cal can't kill it fast enough along with your slow ass turret speed. plus it extremely small and nimble so trying to shoot it is another challenge
True but your wheels and drivetrain are vulnerable to 50s and getting immobilised in this is definitely not a good time.
so in that first battle the plane you were shooting at i watched your rounds bounce off its left wing twice
really would recommend bringing some of the aphe rounds with the fox, for light vehicles. it'll absolutely nuke light targets like the m109s or open tops like that Zerstorer on jungle.

Tbf, light auto cannon vehicles always get more hate, not to mention how effective it is
I disagree, the R3 is no longer really relevant, and the other two are really easy to counter because everyone has a stabilizer, is just as if not faster, and has greater firepower and armor.
In the Fox’s case it is almost impossible to counter them because most opponents are not stabilized and suffer from poor turret traverse. The Fox is also incredibly tiny and fast. If you spot one, you really can’t do too much about it.
@@Boris_The_Turtle fox in my opinion is at best br, 6.3 to 7.7 is the heaviest armour br, if it gets higher to like 7.7, then it will start to see many 8.0 vehicles which start to have many light and light armoured medium tank
@@Simon-tr9hv true but it wouldn’t be unwarranted, we have the BTR-80A at 7.3 which is effectively worse in almost every measurable metric.
actually people still complain why 2S38 being 10.0 and able to take full APFSDS belt when OTOMATIC can only carry 12 and those APFSDS doesnt do that much damage some time while being 11.3 where everything can literally block its APFSDS. the reasons for balancing behind russian vehicle and other nation is just pure bias
