Thanks for (some of) the comments guys haha! I am the jumping man, this video was a lot of fun to shoot, and painful! It has 6 cuts and took 13 hours! Each cut was filmed about 10 times! And yes, the fake smile was mostly to hide my breathing and shin splints!! Glad the video brings happiness to people! Hope you all have a great NYE!! x

I also have seen the original scene from Funny Girl, I felt that you did as qreat as Bobby Van. I'm sure that it was painful but to do. I believe the reason that Hugh Jackmams' reenactment failed was because they were not very familiar with the movie. No matter you and Jack keep entertaining us, your fans:-)

This was my song for my dog Muffin...
She died on Halloween (Oct 31st), aged 16. I had her since September 2004 when she was just 8 weeks old. She battled cancer for 20 months (after originally being given just 3 months to live)... She was my best friend, my family, the child I never had, and the therapy dog that helped me through severe depression when my partner of 12 years died suddenly in 2014. This song will always be ‘our song’. It’s now just been over a week since my little one died ... but through the tears and grief I only have to put this song on and it makes me remember the good times. The only song to snap me out of the sadness. For you Muffin... “Happiness”. 🐶🌈♥️🙏🏻

OMFG i knew of Goldfrapp but never really listened to them because i am more of a kasabian kings of leon pink floyd type but the last week i have been loving listening to Goldfrapp and completely fell in love with the music.
This is such a driving forward, empowering song. Beautiful. Happiness is a state of mind that is accessible if we want it enough, no matter the circumstances. Beautiful nostalgia!

Both the music video and song have been one of my favourites since it was first released! I think it is extremely underrated as well (especially in Australia - where it did not even chart! 😔). It deserved to have been a bigger hit.

I'm definitely going to look into some more Goldfrapp. The only two songs of theirs I've ever heard were because they were on TV shows I watched, but I like both of them. I suspect they've been undeservedly left off my radar all this time.

This number is practically an exact replica of a number done for the film musical called "Small Town Girl" which was released in 1953 to the movie theatres. Dancer Bobby Van does the hopping in that 1953 movie in a number called "Take Me To Broadway." There are no new ideas left.

+shtuwang I know the Wiki page says it was done in one take with no cut scenes but you can clearly see 5 scenes where there is an obstruction ( such as the telephone box ) and the angle is different so it can't be one take.
