Love your reaction to one of the great British rock bands...The rhythm guitarist with the long blonde hair Rick Parfitt was a good friend of mine sadly he died 24th December 2016. I was the lead vocalist in a local band in Woking Surrey England back in 1962 "The Demons" and Rick was the rhythm guitarist in our band when he was only 14 years of age...So talented and sadly missed by us all...Also Status Quo's original bass player Alan Lancaster died very recently and is sadly missed by all.
I remember going to Knebworth (a big English music festival) decades ago and it had been bucketing down with the rain. Just as Status Quo came on stage the sun came out and they made all 120,000 of us smile and have a brilliant time, love the Quo!
The QUO were massive here in the UK, all of the 70's/80's generation grew up on this (unless you had a scooter) it was an anthem for all the school disco's and clubs
We had a weekly music program here in the u k and the quo hold the record for the most appearances. I have seen many bands in my life ( I’m 68 ) but the quo has been the band I’ve watched the most! Every gig is like a party.
This guy got the QUO right from the start. Does he know he's watching the 2 best Guitarists and Singers in Rock history. He is also proof that QUO would've been a huge success in the USA.
I saw them over 90 gigs all over europe and loved every minute❤ WYW is one of the best Intro in Rock 👍Rick & Alan RIP 🌹SQ-40 years my love , end in 2016😪 Cheer's from Germany
For the ultimate version of this watch it Live at the Proms, recorded at the Royal Albert Hall in London with a full orchestral backing, it's just amazing !
Imo, the old lineup was THE Status Quo, but as in many band, bandmembers are kicked out and replaced and many years later they do reunion shows). The interaction with the other bandmembers are the best here in the 1984 End Of The Road tour. Never mind the poor quality, but sit back and enjoy THE Quo: ua-cam.com/video/9aCuwkcopIk/v-deo.html I saw them once, in the early '90s, but not their best performance: kind of a Best Of medley. They did their thing, rushed off and that was it. Didn't get our tickets back (that we used to keep as souvenir after we got in). Maybe because it wasn't a very big venue. But seeing non-Europeans react to Status Quo is
No matter what's before, but when Status Quo enter the stage and play dadum dadum dadum dadeedee the crowd's getting loud! AMAZING! P.S.: Of course Rick is sadly missing!
