That first downstroke hits that barre chord ripping into eardrums like a sledge hammer. Unfortunately we will never see that again RIP Rick thanks for the memories. I´ve seen these guys live, it was very loud and very fun. They have many great songs like "paper plane", "down the dustpipe", "again and again", "roll over lay down" and "whatever you want". RIP Rick parfitt.
The Quo have been an institution here in the UK and all over Europe for over 50 years and deservedly so. Nobody ever rocked the world better. What a shame Rick Parfitt (in the blue shirt) passed away a couple of years after this was shot, he and Francis Rossi (lead guitar) were the original members back in the '60's and I believe they're STILL ROCKIN the world. God bless 'em all.

Guy next to me at one gig was(stupidly)standing right in front of a speaker”stack”,and as they hit the first mighty chord,he screamed”Jesus Christ!”and clutched his ears. He swore (later,when there was a break) that he could feel his bones vibrating!!🤣

When you look up the word”loud” in the dictionary,it should say”Status Quo”!😂One of my friends watched them ,and got too close to the speakers,on a Saturday show , and his ears shut down for three days! He said,halfway through the following Tuesday “Hey!My ears just went”pop”and I can hear again!” That is LOUD!

Been to see them live a few times in London in the 90's. Always a great show. Real comradery between the fans, so the vibe was good as well. Glad to see you're enjoying them. Do you play guitar? If not, go get yourself the one you like best and a practice amp (Positive Grid Spark stuff is good). You look like you want to be playing.

I saw an interview with Rick Parfitt from SQ a while back where he explains that a lot of the amps on stage are just fake and are only there for appearance sake. In fact he went on to explains that with the way they do the sound now the sound on stage isn’t that loud and it’s only really loud in the audience.
That is for their own live shows, when they had a lot more cabs on stage they had lights in them instead of speakers, what you see here are all fully working amps and cabs, yes you are correct in that they have it quieter onstage because they use in ear monitors but it is still bloody loud on stage believe me.

BBC radio banned Quo for years...one of the best british rock bands and banned because they only played 3 chords...i now listen to the rubbish the same station plays and they dont even play an instrument..and we pay for that crap

In the late 70's early 80's they had 28 vox AC 30 amps onstage as a backline and that was fecking LOUD!
