Itchy boots is a boss. I have much respect for her.
Riding sand is the worst feeling ever especially when that front tyre starts sinking.. you have to keep the throttle constant and shift your weight
its almost 3 years that she cross the world with different motorbike she started in india and thailand ......iran, all european countries, south america.... very great human being
I'm a retired ex biker who has been following Noraly from the start of her journeys in India over 2 years ago. I have watched her riding skills develop along the way, and I have no hesitation is saying she has greatly surpassed anything I was ever capable of doing on a motorcycle. In the Kalahari Rally, it was her first time doing a rally, she was the only girl taking part and was riding the smallest lowest powered bike in the event, really a standard Honda 250cc semi off road machine that anyone can buy in any Honda bike shop. Not only did she finish, she finished in style ahead of many riders with more experience riding bikes built for this kind of riding. In the final stage the next day after this the rear sub frame of her bike broke, but she carried on and finished the rally.
The method of riding on these sorts of roads is to stand on the footrests taking the shocks with your legs and knees, and steering by moving body weight side to side. In these events the riders always look out for each other, in one episode Noraly back tracks several Kilometres to take petrol to a fellow rider who has run out in the desert. I have no hesitation in proclaiming her "Queen of the Desert" !

Noraly was the only woman on this rally and you have to watch the first day of the rally a lot of rider were coming to her saying their admiration about her riding .....all the season 5 was in south africa, buszana and other countries around south africa where the border where still open , she met a lot of peoples, organisations.... she is scientis a geologist she stop her job to ride all other the world alone 3 years ago. and she has some falls on this rally and she managed everytime to carry savannah (150kg)up. oh and the stop that she made to change her tire was an hotel not a shop, they can not have help for outsiders only from the riders and mecanics of the rally for tools but they have to change or repair themselves.this rally is aqualification for the Paris- Dakar

37:15 She has a lot of experience, before the rally she had already driven thousands of kilometers in Africa. Then the thousands of kilometers in the rest of the world are not even included in that.

Hahahahahahaha! I was waiting for you to realize that Itchy Boots is a woman. Perhaps the first one ever, for all I know. And, I don't know if you got it from watching the later first stage video, but she was the only woman entered in the Kalahari Rally this year. And she really shone, even if poor Savannah fell apart at the end. (Did you watch the final South Africa episode where a motorcycle museum picked up Savannah to immortalize her?)
And she was riding the smallest bike in the rally, with the smallest fuel tank. By day 5, she already knew the drill. The fuel trucks that were "supposed" to be stationed at certain intervals tended to show up after she was already past that point.
Did you see the pre-rally episode where she got to sit in one of those awesome buggies and have it explained? And she also shows the special tires for the rally. She mentioned that they are a bit of hell on a paved road - lol! And, yes, in this rally, the participants are both in fierce competition...and just as fiercely taking care of each other.
Watch her channel you will be amazed ! She rides off road a lot she prefers it although she doesn't ride this fast . She earns respect from the guys that have done this several times . This is her first ralley !

Your reactions when you found out she was a girl! lol I think you would enjoy her videos. I used to ride, and watching her was hard at first, she was learning, but the race was nothing compared to most of her other rides! She seems like a good person with a good heart!

I think the buggy’s go first out of safety, they go faster and won’t hit bikers when they fall or need to pass I guess..?
I've followed Itchy Boots for her first 2 trips, when corona changed her full schedule unfortunately and she came back to The Netherlands I stopped following her, watched the Northern Europe trip as well. For my opinion she was going to much commercially like "will sell this or this" and the content in my opinion became to much the same story in her narrations.
I'll give it a shot with this season 5 to see how it is now.
Yesterday she came home to the Netherlands. She finished the rally but here bike is broke. The bike is going to a museum in S Africa. Whats here two last episodes. She is planning for a new adventure.
