It totally reminds me of a Gold Rush Town. It was so awesome watching you walk up the middle of the Road, I was expecting to hear a Spaghetti Western Song and people peeking through the curtains. I love the wild overgrowth dirt roads and all the incredible Wood Carving. And then when your Handsome Boys came walking up the street, what a sight. I love how the water looked there and the Sky. Loved the tour and History. The pictures now and then were incredible. I love the out building, it was beautiful. Hopefully one of your Boys will build log Cabins. What a great time. Thanks.
I loved seeing Seldovia through your lens. A beautiful little town. The flowers are beautiful & add charm. The wood carvings were neat! I liked the Momma Whale holding her baby up. So precious. I loved seeing pictures of the boys over the years with the fish. I can see why it holds a special place in your heart. I loved the little Church. I'm happy for you & so glad you took time to share this amazing little town with me/us. I liked the flower pot shoes too. I enjoyed your video, & the view looking out over the bay. Our gas was down to $3.59.
My mother-in-law lives in Seldovia. I hope to visit one day. Thank you for the video. I just contacted the Seldovia Public Library this morning to ask a question and I was able to see the library on your walk.
I appreciate your tour of Seldovia- I'm an Orthodox Christian and I've never been there the church only photos & history 🥰and to see if from your eyes is so special!!!
Good Morning Hamm Family. Lauren, thank you so much for that wonderful informative and fun history lesson and tour. Seldovia is so quaint and beautiful. I really needed that little break. Spent the morning going through the pantry, fridge and freezers in preparation for our shopping trip tomorrow. I sat down for a moment and your video was waiting. I made a cup of tea (Earl Grey w. Honey and a Cinnamon Stick), kicked back in my chair and went on a little trip. No airplane, car, ferry or boat required. Such a lovely little break. Again, thank you. Have a great day. Yah's Blessings ❤️
I love this comment so much. I can just picture you sitting down and enjoying the little walking tour of Seldovia! Thank you so much for being here and all your love and support.
Hi Friends, this was so much fun, informative and educational but felt like l was right there with you walking around the Town centre. Thanks so much Lauren this one was good👍
We are heading from Indiana to Alaska next month. I saw someone post something about SELDOVIA and I remembered your family’s cabin is there. And then I found this walking video. I think we will go there for the day while staying in Homer a couple of days. Thank you.
Loved this, history is my jam! Thank you for this, it made my evening. I got to watch this on my smart TV, love the bay and all the wood carvings. There are some really talented people there.
I live 5 miles out from. A small town a small town in Louisiana...I would love leaving in a place like Seldovia. It's beautiful! Please take us on a tour again in the future.. maybe go into some of the shops.
My grandmother's second marriage was to Asa "Jack" Wilkinson about 1926 in Seldovia. Grandpa Jack worked for Heinie Berger at the time. He is now buried in Paradise, Calif. where I now live. My cousin Joe Fleckenstein is a book collector supreme now living in Seldovia. I worked as a plumber with Wiltern Bryan on the Bayview Mercantile, the Lynwood Bar and other stuff after the earthquake. During high tide the you could occasionally "walk on water" on the boardwalk until it was dismantled.
Hubby and I will be visiting your town in June. We’ll be flying in to visit a few small towns to hike, bird watch and look for animals. We’ll be trying to find some cute cabins to rent for a couple of day.
What a charming little town!! I appreciate how much information and history you input into your videos! Shows how much you cherish your State. Another lovely video 👌🥰
Hello from New Zealand. Looks like another place to plan to see next year. Just come back from Brook's fall's and Anchorage last week. Love Alaska and finding out places to visit. Might have to try it with snow one year.
P.S. farm girl here had my 6 month photo taken on the back of a large sow. I loved the story about taking your Alaska boys photos on the carved whale. Perfect! 💖🐳💖
Lauren, thank you for another beautiful put together history lesson on Alaska. Look forward to seeing and hearing you in other adventures. The pictures of the boys just added a personal touch to your videos.

Thank you so much for the tour. I’ve always been curious about the small town in Alaska that you can only access by boat or plane. I find it so interesting but I just don’t think I could live that remote. Lol I like my supply’s close by. Lower 48 privileged I guess 😜
What a beautiful small sleepy waterside town. Oh how i wished we lived near there. I love it. Im glad you shared it with us. I would like to ask a guestion. How does Mark and your family get from the airport to the cabin ? Do you keep the boat in the marina till you visit the next time ?
It's so nice to get out and walk and learn the history of where we live. You are a wonderful host and guide, thank you so much! Earthquakes are so horrible things. I grew up in Santa Cruz, California where they had the terrible earthquake in 1989, I had already married and moved away before it happened, but I lost some beautiful people in my life. It ripped the place up!! Your walk & voice is so relaxing, I feel so refreshed!!! Thank you, Lauren 🌼
Hello! I will show the garden in a video soon but unfortunatly there isn't much to show. We have just picked out way through it when we have needed things and have been too busy to film it all. Not the best harvest but we have been eating lots of yummy squash and cauliflower.
What a wonderful tour. I never expected such a rich history in one town and it's amazing to me to see all that the people of this area have accomplished in an isolated location. I loved the boardwalk, the sculptures and all the boots filled with plants. Thank you for sharing Seldovia with us.
Thank you Lauren, loved this video what a beautiful town, your narration was so informative and I really find your voice very soothing looking forward to more 🦘

That was a lot of fun and informative! Thank you! I love stuff like this. I would love to come and spend a few days in one of the Inns/B&B's. Looks peaceful and beautiful. Two of my favorite things. Ready to check in from Southern Ohio!
There is a bit. I realized I didn't include all that... Next time! Great halibut, salmon, and ocean fishing. They also have lots of music festivals and activities all summer long. Plus, the best 4th of July in the state, in my onion.
Love this!! I am a history fanatic!! Any history!! Really enjoyed watching this! Thank you Layren for making the time to give us this tour of your beautiful town!!
That is a beautiful little town. You have said that where you are in Alaska that you get earthquakes. How often does that happen? Or is is just random? Or are they just little trimmers? I enjoy your videos Miss Lauren. Thank you for sharing.
