It was this day in 1983 that Prince unveiled “the Rain” for the very first time. I hope and pray that one day in this life, the estate will release this. It MUST be seen and heard by EVERYONE.
Dearly beloved, we have gathered here today
To get through this thing called life
Electric word life, it means forever and that's a mighty long time
But I'm here to tell you, there's something else
The afterworld, a world of never ending happiness
I believe Prince is there and I will meet him someday too.
The ULTIMATE BEST "out of body" experience
We've all been to concerts where the artist/group will play music from their new album prior to release and we all go - hurry up and get to the good stuff! Same thing was happening here - you could hear the cheers for the familar songs and almost dead silence for the ones that they had no idea was about to rock their world for the rest of their lives. What a lucky group of people to hear songs 1,4,8,9 and 12 for the first time ever outside of the studio. Unreal.
If Prince had started to sing effin Sound of Music in the middle of his concert I would have been down to it, I came to see my hero and he can do anything he wants on his stage and I approve!
