$2500 for a knife? No way. Don't care what color the handle is. Does it cut properly? Does it hold an edge. There are German and Japanese knives that do quite well for a tenth the price. Buying something just because it's expensive is foolish.
You have no idea what you’re talking about. Can’t afford it, don’t buy it, but be quiet about it. Nobody’s buying these knives just because they’re expensive. They’re buying them because the knives are one of a kind, handmade by a true craftsman and will hold up to 5-6 ten hour kitchen shifts a week.
Does it hold an edge?* And stuff like this guy's knives are more functional art pieces than just tools. Yes, there might be industrially made knives as good or even better than these, but they're not crafted by a craftsman you know personally. Not to mention he put quite a few manhours into crafting these. And that to some is worth the asking price.
We need more of this high quality manufacturing right here in the USA 🇺🇸
Not many people want to spend $2300+ for a single knife.
What an artist! Wow. Best wishes for massive success.
I ordered two just by watching this. Appears to be almost sold out!
Beautiful work, sir. Keep it up.
"The worker is worthy of his hire." One of my dad's favorite passages.
A true craftsman.🔪🔪🔪🔪
@0:38 I don't know why but that sound made me laugh.

Middleton is a really common last name in the Lowcountry, maybe because of the plantation. Really neat story.

I can't think of single reason they would choose this particular Knife maker.... So many to choose from in the United States. It's a mystery.
He's been around for a while, he's done interviews with popular UA-camrs before.
Also he's on the east coast which is close to the CBS HQ.
@@mountainbikerdave Translation; He black.
