But here's the thing u should not have to do this..lg knows these wifi modules are garbage..but we find these workarounds and not hold them accountable..can we all say CLASSACTION LAWSUIT!!!
Yes! I had an LG for years and put up with the wifi drop, thinking it was just that TV I bought another one and guess what? It's not even 2 months old and it's doing it again..I unplugged it and plugged it back in and it starts working..I'm doing this twice a week. I'm still under warranty, so they're going to fix it, or I'm returning it
@@863NightOwl Have you found the video where the kid takes the back off TV an straightens the wires? WEll, I did that an it hasnt dropped it since. Totally fixed it. Took about 20 minutes. Took longer to unplug it an pull off stand. But it damn sure worked!!! blew me away!
This is fabulous!I have 25+ years in tech and just got my lg last night. I read about the wireless issue, and sure enough just over a day after installation this problem reared its head. It's a known issue, and I agree with those who are calling for a class action.
Hey Jackie…, True. Our tv has to be 5 yrs old or more … looks like no one at LG is interested in fixing this problem and making a fully functional product. Thx for watching!
We’ve had the motherboard, Wi-Fi board and everything else replaced and as soon as we had to do a software update.. bang! Wi-Fi wouldn’t connect again.. tried this and connected straight away! Thank you so much!! I’ll keep you posted as as to whether this completely fixes the issue or if it’s just a temporary fix. 🤞🏻we won’t have this issue again! Thanks a million!!
Thank you, HouseBarons! This worked like a charm. Before finding your video, we unplugged & replugged the LG for days each time if lost signal. Like you, we knew it was the TV because our other devices worked throughout the house. Unplugging was no longer fixing the problem. We toggled the location as you describe, and we're back online! Let joy be unconfined! I'll try to comment again to let you now that it continues to work. Many thanks!
Hey Judy, Ours has been a long term fix but please let us know your update either way! BTW - loved the “ let joy be unconfined “ phrase! True true! Thx for watching!
@@HousebaronsThank you for your reply. I think this means I'm famous now.. Sadly, the problem returned. Toggling the location fixes it temporarily. Ive just seen another video (by Mr Stokus...?) where he shows how to remove the back (very scary but he has a little boy helping him) and cleaning one tiny little spot. Do you know anything about that technique? It seems a bit high risk. But the comments indicate it helped. I much appreciate any guidance. ;)
your solution fixed my problem! After hours of searching and trying solutions (including time spent talking to the ISP, who really offered no good solution), I found your fix. Yes, its fixed!!! thank you so much.
Thank you so much!! It worked like magic, even though my TV is a newer or different model (2024) from yours I was still able to navigate it through the steps you gave. Thanks again!
Thank you! Just tried it and hope it fixes my problem on my G3 which randomly will not connect to wifi when I turn it on. Wifi is in the same room on a brand new mesh network so it shouldnt be an issue
This worked for me most of the time but this doesn’t even work anymore. It will stay connected for as long as a few minutes and then it will say the WiFi is off. I’m so sick of this, I guess I need to chuck it in the trash and get a new one. The model I have is a few years old but damn, come on man.
If this didn’t help you, try connecting to the hotspot on your phone. If that works, disconnect from your hotspot and try your home network again. This worked for me.
I tried resetting my country etc but this made no difference unfortunately. I had also changed my broadband provider and Wi-Fi equipment recently which also made no difference. I however seemed to have fixed the issue by moving my Wi-Fi extender which has an Ethernet LAN port nearer the TV and connecting the TV via a direct LAN cable. Previously I would have to restart the TV 4 or 5 times while watching a movie to reconnect the Wi-Fi, I have had no drop outs since connecting this way.
i had a problem where the tv would require me to input the wifi password every time i turned off the tv sometimes it wouldn't work no matter what , this quick fix seems to have fixed it
So this is on the LG website as a work around and it does not fix the issue. Also, any apps that you use will have to be reconnected with pws, and any that are not factory installed disappear and need to be reinstalled
NOPE -- no Internet spots shown and says WIFI is Off and no place to turn it on. LG tells me it needs a new network component. Warranty is extended as it is a known issue...waiting for a call back to see if there is a charge. If it is too expensive to fix it, should I just buy ROKU or FireStick to solve this???
Did you end up buying a firestick as the cheaper option? I am having wifi issues myself with my new lg tv. Thinking of getting a new fire stick on prime day. I like the fire sticks interface better anyway.
I bought a firestick while I was waiting for this to be fixed.. I’ve never had an lg before and I’m not overly impressed that I keep having this issue, nonetheless, I always keep a few external products for ‘just in case’ times.. firestick worked fine.
LG says it is a known issue and they extended warranty for 2-3 years to replace network component. They will give you number for authorized repair in your area
This is likely some glitch with the programming of the tv's operating system. and the fact that its a problem with new tvs as well as tvs 7 years old leads me to believe that LG hasn't updated its tvs' operating system FOR YEARS. That doesn't inspire confidence in me...
This worked for a week. Now can't connect to internet. It this doesn't work any more. My LG is straight up garbage. Two years ago I had an LG AC unit go up in a year, & I had blu ray player go up in a little over a year of use. And now my big screen TV. And a refrig went up also. It like whoever works for LG & programs these units must be on drugs. They all go hay wire fast. The remotes never work coorectly. LG mean (L)ike (G)arbage. You get what you pay for. Me trying to save a buck. Other brand name products like sony they last me at least a decade. I will NEVER ever buy anything LG makes again. If if your one of those people who got lucky. More power to you. This is just my experience with every LG product I've ever purchased. I never got one product they worked they way it should. Sucks having a fairly new TV & can't get online. We shouldn't have to look for fixes online. Why can't they just make something that works. I guess greed like everything else.
But here's the thing u should not have to do this..lg knows these wifi modules are garbage..but we find these workarounds and not hold them accountable..can we all say CLASSACTION LAWSUIT!!!
I'm with you...had my 65' lg for 5 yrs. NOTHING but problems with signal drop out. Done with the entire lg brand!
ok go find a greedy lawyer an we will dive n. Shouldnt be hard to find a Greedy lawyer!
Yes please im with you all

What a blessing this is! We have had this disconnect issue for the longest time. I finally decided to google and found this video. Endless thanks!!!!!
Hey Sheryl,
Glad it worked for you - it doesn’t always. LG tvs are so hot or miss.
Thx for watching!
Give it some time it will start again.
Sir, you helped us solve a year-old nuisance in one minute! Many thanks!
Hey b.,
Hope it lasts! It did for us but not always for everybody as we have heard on occasion. You have great patience!!

Thank you SO much. After weeks of buffering and other problems, we finally have a great connection on our TV. 😅
Glad to help
My problem was my wifi antenna wouldn't turn on AT ALL, did factory reset for nothing, tried this and it's working now thank you!!
Hey the….,

You absolute legend I’ve been having issues for months with my lgc1 so far I’ve been streaming for a few hours and no WiFi cut outs thank you
Glad it worked for you!
WOW! What a game changer!!! I have spent hours with ATT and this video solved my issued with connecting to Wi-Fi! THANK YOU!!!
Hey Anne,
Awesome - glad it worked for you!
Fixed my C1 after many hours of "No Signal" screens where I feared turning off the screen once it worked. Perfect, many thanks!
Glad to hear it!

Thank you so much! I had to reset my entire TV last time this happened 😅 glad I searched a bit more, works like a charm!
You'll have more issues...just wait. I thought mine was good to go as well. NOT
You’re right
Thanks! I was constantly factory resetting the TV, glad I don’t have to do that anymore
Glad I could help!
Thanks. Worked for me. LG is really pissing me off. I won’t buy their product again
Thx for letting us know!
Your recommendations worked! Thank you
Glad it worked!
I hope his works. Thank you for sharing 🙏
It didn´t work for me right away, but it did after I took off the auto time/date updates; thanks!
Hey Shin…,

I think this reboot process helped fix my problem. LG C8 Thank you.
Did this and it worked for a couple of weeks, but now the issue has returned for whatever reason despite the suggestions 😩. Come on LG!
Thanks David, I followed the steps and all good again!
Glad to hear it ! Does not work for all LG’s.
Just did this, and it worked, thank you!
Glad it helped!
This video worked for me step by step idk why but it worked.
Thank you sir 🎉🎉😂
It shouldn't work though

Hope you have success!

Thx for the input
Did not work but thanks
Did this but only works for like an hour, tv is 2 years old. Any thoughts?
Hey Ken..,
Try glancing thru the comments… other people have tried other hacks. Might help to call LG - I bet they know!
Thx for watching!

I hope so too! Not everyone has success - makes LG buyers not future buyers.
I cannot believed that worked!!! 😮😮😮
Perfect, it worked! Thanks!
Hey dorka..,
Great.! Thx for watching.n
Totally works! A+🎉
Well done!
This was so absolutely helpful! Thank you so much for taking time to do this!
Glad it was helpful!

Yay - glad for your success!

We did this and it still doesnt work. 😢
It fixes it for a day or two but I have to keep repeating it..
Hey cigar…,
It must be an LG defect ..,
Yep! Done with lg products
I just tried this (twice) and now my TV won't let me download the User Agreements even though it shows I'm connected to my internet.
You beautiful son of a gun! You did it!
You earned this like today 😊
Yay! Thx for watching.?I hope it lasts..!
Doesn't work in Ireland I'm afraid 😢
Thank you for this, I'm never buying an LG again lol
Understandable
Tried over and over doesn’t work for me. But my tv is getting old. Tks
Lots of trouble with LG.
Thx for watching!
Worked for 2 days........ then nope. I think I will just smash this TV for the satisfaction it will bring and buy from another manufacturer.
Yea seems like lgs wifi thing inside are junk
Nice!
Thanks!

If it is too expensive to fix it, should I just buy ROKU or FireStick to solve this???
Hey Susan..,
We had roku and that wasn’t part of the solution. Not sure that was involved. Might be a question for LG.
Thx for watching!

@@tamedtiger The firestick solved this issue for me too. The firestick is always connected to the internet while the LG tv itself is not.
Tried it and did not help me.. What else can I try
Hey Tami,
I’d call LG. A lot of people had the same struggle…
This is a temp fix… unfortunately. Wifi maintained connection for 3 days… then disconnected
This didn't work for me

Didn't work.
It now makes you accept or decline all the permissions. I wish they would just fix the bug.
True!
Didn't work, I wish, our screen has also darkened and turned off energy mode, nothing works. Next time will buy a cheap phillips.
Folks just don’t buy LG again when u need new tv, they are so so bad for this problem so stuff them folks

Not work wifi closed I M not understood help me pls
Hey gk,
It worked for us. Sorry. Maybe email LG and see if they hav Ed C a better solution.
Thx for watching!
Did not correct mine after the first time.
Hey Diane,
☹️ This was the easiest possible solution. May need to call lg for more complex ideas…
Thx for watching!
Take off back panel. There's a kink in the wifi ribbon connector. Straighten it out and it wont happen again.
Hey edogg..,
Interesting. Thx for the input!
The hell does that even mean . I ain’t no tech guy
This is literally the only thing in 6 months that has solved this problem!
I just did that 2 weeks ago and it fixed everything. The wi fi cable was all clinched up.
I am having wifi issues and would consider class action lawsuit
Said to say it - but it’s a big big club!
lot of streps there
