    My new question is where do you stand on book returns: returnable vs non-returnable?
    And is there a big difference in potential money with bookstores and returnable books
    vs non-returnables? Would i make more with a bookstore to cover potential returns? Or is risky?
    I'm not sure about the money I might be losing out on if I went for a book store, and if it would be
    more to offset returns, than if the books were non-returnable?

      I currently have my books to no returns. There is a slight difference (in my experience) with bookstores sales (slightly less with no returns enabled) however I'd personally rather have less sales than risk a huge return order and bookstores will still order if they want the books. Ultimately, I have made more without returns on, as big orders can hit hard if a large amount is ordered and returned. If you are working with a particular bookstore that does want a return option, you may be able to work out a deal outside of your distributor to allow returns if needed.

    Are you able to apply/enroll in bookbub if your e-book is within the KDP Select program?

      Yes! All of my children's books are currently in KDP Select and have also been featured in multiple BookBub deals.

    Hi, do you pay only if you get accepted? Thank you!

      Yes! And if they offer you a deal at a different price point (even if it is less) they will have you confirm before charging you.

    Is this only for self-published books? My middle grade novel was published by a small traditional publisher -- would I qualify?

    • @BethanyStahl
      @BethanyStahl  Рік тому

      Yes! It is for all books! Many traditionally published books often use BookBub and have great success!

    Thank you for this video! I’m filling the screen out as you suggest for one of my women’s fiction books and the estimated fee is $705!! 😳😳 do you happen to know why this is so expensive? Is it worth it??

    • @BethanyStahl
      @BethanyStahl  Рік тому +1

      It is worth it depending on your strategy. Most deals (if you get one) at $0.99 will land you on the USA Today Best Sellers list and boost your rank for considerable growth on Amazon that happens organically. Free deals can also help growth and are beneficial for series to create sales for other books. Ultimately it is up to you, but I'd recommend a strong marketing strategy to implement if your book is selected so it doesn't go to waste. ❤️

      Thank you for your response! Well, I’m relatively new and have zero sales, so I will seriously consider this!
      Do you mean to couple this with other marketing strategies?
      I just found your channel so I’m excited to watch your other videos! 😀

    do they keep your money if your not accepted?

    • @BethanyStahl
      @BethanyStahl  Рік тому

      Nope! You only pay after you are accepted, and at that point if you have changed your mind, you do not have to accept the offer.
