- Welcome to my channel! My name is Chloé and I have epilepsy. I live in New Zealand where I work as a primary school teacher with my husband, Mark who is also a teacher. We are expecting a baby in early March 2020. This is my journey navigating epilepsy with the pressures of teaching, pregnancy and motherhood.

So happy to find someone on UA-cam that is pregnant and has epilepsy. I do have epilepsy and have been thinking of pregnancy recently. As you’ve said not much out there from actual people. I found some people who’ve commented on articles and messaged them on Facebook. What medication do you take ? I take Lamictal. I know dosage goes up during pregnancy what type of dosage have they put you on? Also, did you have regular seizures before being pregnant? I haven’t had a seizure in 10 years but worry once pregnant if I would have one. I hope you continue the videos and being positive other videos haven’t been that great. Hope the rest of your pregnancy goes smoothly 💕
Natalie Comer thank you for your comment! Yeah, I found it hard to find anyone on UA-cam talking about what it’s like to be pregnant and have epilepsy. Prior to being pregnant, I would have maybe 2-4 seizures a year. I’m on topiramate (which they’ve doubled since I’ve been pregnant!), gabapentin and clobazam, and they’re looking at adding lamotrigine if I have any more seizures. Hopefully we won’t have to adjust much more, but they’ve been good about balancing risks and benefits. Finding a good team is important 🙂 All the best for your journey!

My partner is 33 weeks pregnant had a seizure today while I was out in the yard working walked in the room to find her on the ground with out a clue or inkling of what happened it destroyed me today to see that. I'm always bye her side and for me not to be their cut me up badly today.any man will tell you just looking for answers and help please.
Seen doctors specialist and all they have said is it's going to be ok baby's fine
