Does anyone know if adaptability applies to a different tera? Eg dragalge teratypes into water and used Hydro pump. Does it double dip into water with adaptability now?
Adaptability only works on moves that are the same type as the Currently Active/Tera Typing of the Pokemon. For example, if Porygon-Z went Tera Electric, its Thunderbolt would do 2x, but its Hyper Beam would only do x1.5 due to it not being Normal type actively anymore, but still keeping the original base STAB boost from the Tera mechanic
Surging strikes on tera water urshifu in the rain is an insane 506 base power if you consider the critical hit boost. Without tera your rocking 253 base power, and without rain your hitting with 337 base power.
