I'm a 1911 guy and also picked up a G19. The 10-8 sights for glock are pretty good and Haley Drop in trigger is as close to a 1911 trigger you can get. Two great upgrades!
Looking forward to your review after putting 150 rounds through it. Don't know about the plug on the end but I certainly agree with you about the sights and the slide release. The slide release will be the first thing I replace. Have fun at the range.
