Zermatt, Switzerland - Cantonal Mountain Guides' Festival

With their distinctive dress suniforms and flag-staffs made from ice axes, the assembled mountain guides of the Valais canton gather in Zermatt for a blessing of the ropes that will be taking the strain for the coming year.
