This was an excellent video. I am much more comfortable about navigating the Swiss rail system after this. And, the bus from the airport being #50 is great information. Thanks again for your effort.
Life Saver Video :) Did you buy the ticket for Bus # 50 ? I will be shortly traveling from Basel Airport to Bern. Does my Train ticket covers the bus 50 or i have to but a new ticket for that ?
Normally unless your ticket specifically says that it is airport->destination you will still need to buy a ticket for the bus. You can get it from the driver when you board. Thank you for enjoying the video, I am glad that it was useful for you.
According to the online public transport timetables at sbb.ch/en I'm afraid that there isn't - you can get to Zurich by train or by coach only from Basel centre, every trip will still involve taking bus no. 50 from the airport first. If you want door-to-door travel with no changes then you'd probably have to order a taxi, which would cost a few hundred francs as the cities are quite far apart, and that really would be a waste.
@@kapparomeo Oh really I read here that you can get a Flixbus directly from the Basel airport straight to Zurich if this is correct? shop.flixbus.co.uk/search?departureCity=8148&arrivalCity=89&route=Basel+Euroairport-Zurich&rideDate=11.09.2020&adult=1&_locale=en_GB&features%5Bfeature.darken_page%5D=1&wt_eid=2159508807269338899&wt_t=1595110936259&affiliate=%28not+set%29%2C&atb_pdid=cc9417cb-6383-4f40-bf55-081409bc0b50&_sp=2483e492-39eb-4d2b-b71e-0dc78effc3e9

@@kapparomeo so has this changed at all, the airport is still set up this way and bus 50 is still what you have to take?
@@PhantomOfDarkness According to the Basel Airport website yes, you still take Bus no. 50: baselairport.org/basel-airport-transfers/bus/#/search
