- All I did was pull the PCV vacuum hose. your engine struggles to maintain a vacuum and therefore dumps more fuel and it causes this sound. fun, but I don't recommend driving like this

*UPDATE* for the duration of this hose being unplugged, your heat/AC may only blow trough defrost and feet lol
Would u be able to explain why? I installed a kenne Bell supercharger on my stang and somehow the vacuum line diagram is messed up. I have a massive Vac leak and it won't even go above 2k rpm. It also only blows air through defrost and feet. I'm guessing this is related. And there the loud whistle of the Vac leak too
@@danielrichards2246 check your vtec, might have the gasket blown to the vortec.
@@danielrichards2246 the reason why is that Ford uses engine vacuum to actuate the blend doors in your dash. With a massive vacuum leak, the actuator does not have enough vacuum to move the parts that redirect the air, so it goes to it's default position, which is defrost and feet.

what happens if you leave it like that? what is the vacuum hoes for? not thinking about it just wondering cool hack though got me thinking maybe that's how some people do it now a days instead of camms.
tomas reyes it runs really rich at idle and backfires more. i drove it about 20 miles and had no problems except for the bad gas smell. people on the street loved it but i felt bad cause it's still slow lol

well if you leave it like that not only does it sound like shit and nothing like a tight LSA long duration cam you will fuck your shit up due to a lean condition that will result in multiple problems later on but if you want to be a poser and get laughed at by real engine builders more power to you dork!

Trent Szopinski get a handheld tuner and turn your rear O2 sensors off and it'll go away. I have a 98 mustang and I have all the equipment except new heads so I might try this as just a quick joke for friends

and it's really not bad gas mileage. only at idle. as soon as you give it gas the vacuum leak goes away
The cheapest possible way cause its free but in return get bad gas mileage and bad smell lol, who cares it works and its worth it.

i’ve had that happen, best thing to try instead of pulling the hose all the way off, when you pull it off, set it up in such a way that it only opens valve of the valve on the plenum
