- Incredible custom shop features with exotic tone woods - that's the kind of limited edition guitar we love to see from Taylor Guitars. The new 914ceLTD is a jaw dropping example of incredible looks and tone. Taylor took the already wonderful 914ce and utilized a top of sinker redwood, specially sorted for color and AA flamed Hawaiian koa back and sides. Amazing!

Came for the guitar and as usual, stayed for Cooper’s playing
I’m more of a collector than a player. I had moved away from Taylor because they seem more interested in lower end guitars than true premium instruments (that is not intended to be a criticism, just an observation). For the past few years I’ve been into Collings and Bourgeois more than Taylor. Then I found this model at a Find My Fit event. From first hand experience I can tell you, this is a beautiful instrument, with all of the playability you’d expect from Taylor. The comments in this review are spot on. I’m happy to see Taylor making such fine instruments. I love all of my 13 Taylors!
Thank you for making this video. It inspired me to buy one of these guitars before they all disappeared. Within days, there were none to be found and I felt disappointed, but then I managed to snag one. I must say this guitar in person is indescribably beautiful and sounds even better than the video. Without your efforts I would have missed this incredible limited edition! Keep up the great work!
So soothing to listen to Cooper play this guitar. Beautiful guitar. Beautiful tone. Beautiful playing. Beautiful hair.
Wow! Koa and redwood really pair well! That’s amazing tone.
What a load of hype, the music retail industry is full of nonsense, ridiculous to justify these prices
@@kippsguitar6539 ok, but if you are rich,(I’m not), and already have,(I don’t), a mansion(s), a Lamborghini, a private jet, etc., what should you spend your money on? … cocaine?
I own several very nice acoustics that cost between $1,600 and $3,200, not too expensive, no bling, but great working / stage guitars. Your contention is that I should not buy an expensive couch guitar, even if I would derive great pleasure from owning and playing it? Maybe Chevrolet should only sell up to the Malibu, and stop production on the Camaro, and Corvette, because it is just hype?
Yes they are ridiculously expensive, but I guess what we spend our money on is our own choice. I have a number of high end guitars, bought over a lifetime of playing gigs, and just for fun. I've never smoked, don't drink much, never taken drugs and gave worked my rear end off doing a day job as well as being a performer, which has allowed me to have my guitars.
Sure, it would be great if they weren't so expensive, but having actually bought the wood for my final guitar (a custom made Brook Tavy in Sinker Redwood and Indian Rosewood) then I know what the costs are - but my guitar was half the price of this one, so I guess one pays for the Taylor logo, too. I reckon my Brook sounds better, but then I haven't actually played this particular Taylor.
That guitar tone and playing is the most beautiful sound I’ve heard in quite some time.
OMG...what a guitar. I love the sound of a Koa guitar. When you introduced the sinker red wood, I loved the sound of that. Now the two tone woods are together and it blows me away. I looked at your website, 7 grand is out of reach for me. You said you have 2 of them. Will you tell the people who purchase them I will cut their grass if they let me play this guitar for 30 minutes.
Beautiful and stunningly great sounding guitar! My station in life would have me looking more towards the 414CE sinker redwood. BUT, to whomever buys these 914s, good on ya, and enjoy! I never begrudge success!
Said Cooper, regarding the BOGO promotion, “you keep the GS Mini, and give this 914ce to Chris”… funny!
I don't think I've ever heard better recording quality on the internet, either you guys did a fantastic job setting up or that's an amazing guitar. Maybe both.
Love the tone and character of this instruments sound. Better to my ear than most taylor guitars they demons
Agree
That was a super demo with a fantastic sounding guitar. Wow!
This guitar is lust worthy. What a beauty!
Wow what tones! That is awesome looking, but the sound is grand.
Awesome demo Cooper! 💜
Great video guys. Love all the info. 👍👍
Beautiful mini performance.
Such a gorgeous guitar
Beautiful guitar to say the least, and excellent playing!
Gorgeous!
The gents are smoldering pretty hard in the thumbnail! Great job on the vid!
Lovely instrument. 🎸❤️
😍 such a beautiful guitar
Just amazing tone. Amazing Cooper playing.
Really sounds great and nice playing as well!
How's it feel to have the best job on the planet.
Absolutely beautiful
Amazing playing… and sounding guitar!
I have the Taylor ps14ce sinker redwood and macassar ebony. Love the bling on it.
Great video guy's thanks ❤️ 🎸 ❤️
Nice playing man (as always)
Yes the price stunned me as well.
Wow, beautiful!!!
A stunner. Must of sold em both cuz neither on your site. Thx
Thanks Chris and Cooper. I suspect you wouldn't want to trade a 914ce Sinker redwood/ Rosewood for that one. Chris was all over it a few years ago.
I buy with my eyes. I love subdued, satin and wood grain on show. This is almost the max "bling" I would ever want, so this checks my preferences and then some.
I bought a Taylor Academy 20e based on your comments and found one up here in cold North that had visuals to really make me happy.
I see you have a pair of these left in stock ... I wonder how long for. Tempting, though it might be wasted on an beginner like me.
You guys are the best, I really trust your opinions. Why is Cooper embarrassed to say his name? Shout it out brother!
Cooper
What can I say
Speechless
Gorgeous guitar
Wow, what a beauty!? 🥰
Now all I have to do is to get that bank job done...
Wow , it’s to nice to play
I like how deadpanned that right in there: "You get more DEPTH with sinker redwood for tone".
there is no need to say, it sounds. The big advantage of a Taylor compared to a Lowden, for example, is that it will fit better into a pop or rock mix. But it is however really playwith the fingers that it reveals all its finesse.
I'd love to have one to just look at. Amazing
Dang, wish this was for sale on your website! I would have flown to SA for this one!
The price has me stunned ⚠️🚩❗
WOW, that ought to "look nice and play/sound nice"-----For SEVEN GRAND at Sweetwater. I am lucky to have a Taylor 810ce, that listed for $3,500 when it first came out. I bought it used from a working musician/performer who needed the money. It is road worn, but plays and sounds TERRIFIC. Seller even changed the tuners, and put upgraded ones on, and had the action re-worked. It's an incredible playing AC/Electric. Saw one just like it for $3,250 in a local music store, and some new similar Taylor's for $4,000. ONLY Ac Gtr I own that sounds better is a Vintage Martin! My baby. I also have a great sounding Takamine A/E Jumbo from the early 2000 era. Nice VID guys.....thanks! And for JEFF, Sweetwater still has some of these, but won't restock after they are gone, as an FYI.
Amazing!
Stunned from the price, I bet..
Hey Alamo! Just wondering if there’s any way I can have this custom built I’m having a hard time finding a way to custom build a Taylor online-I literally need this guitar
What's the first Cooper played? Thank you!
Apart from all the talk - when I got to the playing it is an amazing guitar.
What’s the price on this? Truly beautiful and Cooper could any guitar sing!!
What does it sound like playing Wonderwall though?
Nice!
Super rad taylor 😍 But for that cash you can go real boutique. Me personally I'd get a Bob Thompson.
Best sounding guitar I ever played was a $10,000 Collings sinker redwood. This Taylor comes danged close.
Beauty. Any electronics available?
Ooops - see it now - LOL
Has it sold already? I can’t find it on your website?
Does anyone know what song cooper played in this video or if it is his own arrangement?
Joining the question
It’s his own work. Part of what he’s playing is a song of his named “Topanga”
I did not find it on the website.
This chap is an outstanding salesman, I never heard anyone wax so lyrical about wood, mostly hype of course to justify extortionate prices, quality guitars played professionally through the world's best mics are going to sound wonderful, period, sinker , pinker, whatever next!
Love the shows men but I find it hard listening to other tone woods other than mahogany and rosewood
Didn't see them on your site
Do you still have one or both of them???? ❤️🔥
Guys, if you were spending 7K on a guitar, would this be it ? or would you go for an Authentic Martin?
You only have two? Bummer, I wanted three.
Beautiful wood beautiful guitar you know think about it! The wood the front the Redwood the tree might have been a 3000 year old tree and then it sat under the water sunk for 100 years for example and so you're getting a piece of History a piece of wood that had Native American Indian Hunters pass under it while it grew hell dear bear whales out at Sea the Redwood growing near the coast of maybe California whatever think about the Antiquity in the historical reality of the wood,. Kind of like my old Guild mahogany that mahogany I sometimes think came out of the Amazon rainforest and was who knows how old maybe a 4,000-year-old tree before it was cut just think of the history the karma and the spirit and soul that's in the wood and then it creates sound
Guys you did not show the sides of the guitar what a bummer I can see from an angle that looked like beautiful grain:-(
Let me guess $10k?
I still can’t believe they put sticker decals on the backs of the tuners, for what you pay. It makes no sense. It just cheapens the whole thing.
With wood like that who needs pearl ???!?
you can't make a sows ear into a silk purse.
That guitar gives me a semi
They all have that twangy high pitch spund….Gibson and Martin over Taylor all day!!!
If that left you stunned imagine a guitar not built by a machine but by hand made just for you instead of a company who's made millions off instruments where braces come unglued and cracks all throughout due to poor craftsmanship.
I'd sacrifice my left...
So nice I came back to look again
Sounds quite dark, treble lacks sparkle, very non-Taylor sounding. Might be a good option if you are considering a Hog.
