5:26 Shoutout to Pilley for that perfect roller of a nick. There are many great shots here and it is so difficult to pick only one, but somehow the perfection of that roll is just hard to forget. Wow.
So many things to extract from videos like that: the prevalence of certain players and the absence of others when it comes to spectacular shots, the high number of shots recorded for women in 2019, and so on. My personal favorites were Ashour's corkscrew lob and El Welily behind the back lob, but that's just me!
Gawad 2016 Swedish Open is best. I've seen people and been able to replicate all the others but Gawad's one has proven to be the hardest to do in my opinion and it's played with such style too.
If you have a background in tennis then this is a very standard shot. I often find it funny how people think simple tennis things in squash are crazy while many of the Squash specific shots are way harder to execute if you ask me.
So much to select from. The "double lob" of Lee against Shabana (British what year?) and Coppinger against Rosner (2015? where?) rank high up there for me. Thanks for your selection anyway, very appreciated!
All very good but I pick willstrop due to the uniqueness of his double fake which nobody else does. Second come the wrist dislocation shots from shabana.
@@mitch2832 exactly! for a while there i thought common sense had prevailed and psa had decided not to include womens shots on an 'equal' basis... i was wrong :(
@@rokiatharwat3258 now that is a completely different matter :) i personally like nour el tayyab a lot. but to say she competes on an equal basis (squash wise) with the men , is a totally diff thing!
Impossible to choose... I'll cast my vote for the victims who took a moment to show their appreciation. Above all Ramy tossing his racquet and clapping. It's the top players' sheer delight in the game that keeps me watching
Buff, it is so difficult ti pick a shot, you should put the competition of shotmarker of the decade between Shabana, Willstrop, Ashour or Shelby, between the womens there is a clear queen, El Welily
You’re both wrong. There was no year 0, so in compensation the first decade wasn’t actually a decade. It went from 1-9, 10-19 and so on. So yes, there wasn’t a year 0. But the decade did end on the 31st of December, 2019. Simple.
im a begginer, but i wonder if the pro players streght play against them, I notice the ball bounces a lot giving the opponent time to catch it, in my silly games with friends we hit the ball so bad that and soft that after it hits the front wall just doesn't bounce enough for anybody to catch it. something like what they call a great shot on this compilation. guess positioning is part of the pro players. but still cant stop thinking what if they hit the ball just softer and bouncing to the side walls 30% more times. hmmm
@@vijaykhanna_17 He's not a shot player in the same way as the likes of Ramy and Shabana. He has unbelievable movement and an ability to move his opponents around the court with working shots and grind them down rather than hitting outrageous winners from nowhere.
I love the distraction in Rodriguez's shot 👀♥️
We need a Dives of the Decade as well!

Any Shabana shot... that first one where he drops cross court when ball is behind him is perfect
El Welily... so many brilliant shots. However her backhand reaction at DPD is sublime,
we want 'Megarallies of the decade'
I love you nour elcherbini
Absolutely fantastic to watch
we want a 10 hour video on "matches of the decade"
This video is a great late Christmas present
8:10 Rodriguez relaxed walk back, really funny
Wonderful video, thank you PSA!

So many of these against Mo ElShorbagy - just shows how good you have to be to get points off him
I was thinking exactly the same!!!

El Welily certainly perfected that shot from back
Squash plauers have a lot of sportsmanship compared to many other sports
For me Shabana'S backhand is a master class shot, and selby is close.

7:40 he just had enough of that rally
It's not the flashiest, but El Welily's behind-the-back volley lob to a perfect length is probably the best example of deep squash skill.
#4 - Daryl Selby takes it for me. He did the same thing Shabana does, but to absolute perfection.
All very good but I pick willstrop due to the uniqueness of his double fake which nobody else does. Second come the wrist dislocation shots from shabana.
How Hesham has not been included in this is beyond me 🤦♂️
Or Gaultier or Matthew
yet they include some of the female shots which are far below the standard
@@mitch2832 exactly! for a while there i thought common sense had prevailed and psa had decided not to include womens shots on an 'equal' basis... i was wrong :(
@@toxicsharkgaming1434 Too true, I play that shot regularly ;)
Blatchford was the best in my opinion, I read the game very well and didn't see that coming
I agree with Shabana + Selby backhand shots. However, didn't we have a great El Welily backhand volley drop off the wall recently?
Is El Welily the woman version of Ramy Ashour?
No
Both are amazing players
shabana vs ashour - shot of the decade!!!
Love it
Nour eltayeb shots are the best 💪🏻💪🏻
no they are not! she isnt even in the same league as the guys!!
honesty it depends on what type of squash everyone enjoy 😉

I know it was never put in a 'shot of the month' vid but what about david palmers 'shot of the century' in the 2011 ToC v ramy ashour?
Good shout, can't even seem to find that one on our UA-cam anywhere... will have to dig it out and get it uploaded!
PSA SQUASHTV i know it from the squash skills vid?
I was about to comment the same thing! Here is it: ua-cam.com/video/jD6XNnceXPY/v-deo.html
Welilys cross court drop when she was stretching is a winner
Willstrop's triple whammy. Or 'double whammy and then there's another one'
Greeeeeat selection, but I miss shots from the wizard Hisham Ashour!
Cant understand why none of my shots made it into this list. 🤔 For sheer showmanship Wilstrops cannot be bettered against Gawad.
Has to be the double whammy from JW. To do thát against RA... Best of the decade for me!
Skills R Us 😂😂😂👊🏼
I am looking for a shot by Ashour, with the ball going between his legs after hitting the front wall. Can anybody help me,please?
Would have liked to see the Olli Tuominen shot against Elshorbagy in 2016 October
Castegnet dive versus Selby not included? That was incredible
More of a ‘rally’ than a ‘shot’ I reckon
Willstrop's triple fake against Gawad is the best for me. Closely followed by Rodriguez faking out Shorbagy.
Can. Not. Pick. all 10/10
God I love our sport.
No french general shot???
Shabana 2014 El Gouna 2:38

Jimbo ftw
I really appreciate this video, but I think the title is wrong... since there were no year "0", the decade ends December 31st 2020.
Sergio Avila there was a year 0

Happy Tree mate they didn’t count years until 600 years later so they included the first year as year 0
Game savers of the decade?
I tho l this video was sponsored by cross court drops 😂
WHAT ABOUT RODRIGUEZ DOUBLE DIVE IN BRITISH OPEN 2018!!!!

Dear Squash TV,
Sadly you missed the Shot of the Century: ua-cam.com/video/8eaAa0R4nck/v-deo.html
How did Ali Farag not get in the shots of the decade
He is the best player in the world
@@vijaykhanna_17 He's not a shot player in the same way as the likes of Ramy and Shabana. He has unbelievable movement and an ability to move his opponents around the court with working shots and grind them down rather than hitting outrageous winners from nowhere.
What? No Ali Farag shot?!
Where’s hisham
54 secs - 1:11 secs
Where is the hammer of thor's nick!?
I reckon the triple fake by james wilstrop has to be the winner
Nicole David?
Love the idea, but don't show 30secs of a rally just to show Gawad's top-spin at the end :)
Thank you for separating men’s and women’s god bless 🙏
No Coll! No Gautier ! WTF...
these are not the best shots of the decade. mazen had unbelievable shots and they are missing same for ramy's best shots aren't here.
First comment
Willstrop wasn’t that awesome. It took more tactic than precision like the other shots
Ramy and Shabana played much better shots than these and how is Mazen Hesham not here?!!!!!!
that fking filter make me blind
