The ref stopped the rally because the sweat patch was dangerous. They’ll normally let it play for a little while to see if the non-diver can finish off the rally, but if it gets back to ‘even’ and the sweat patch is big enough or in a prominent place, the Ref can play a let for safety
I find it hard to believe that Shabbana nor Shorbagy attempted a drop shot, seems like they were just keeping it going for the sake of keeping it going.
Not a big fan of the let for sweat patches on the court. If you are so out of position that you have to dive and leave a trail of sweat on the court you shouldn't get the let option. Give the let option only to the player in control of the ralley
@@michazawadzki3813 Then eliminate diving which is inherently dangerous. You can't allow guys easy lets when so far out of position and well behind in a ralley
@@graemenawn I agree. But PSA won't remove it anytime soon because of how spectacular it looks to most fans. I think it looks silly, breaks the flow of the game, and increases risk of injury.
That Tamimi/Matthew rally is the epitome of why I love squash
Not often you get treated to a rally down the forehand wall. Amr Shabana, the legend!
17:05 the between the legs reaction shot from 3 feet away is simply inhuman
Agree, most impressive shot and reflex.
Absolute Bonkers!
The professionals make it so exciting.
Shabana v Shorbagy is just insane quality
Agreed. The way Shabana just pounces on the slightly loose shot is amazing.
Shabana is the biggest giant of the modern squash, no doubt.

“Anything you can do I can do better” type of rally!!
Rallies of the decade without ashour
Insane retrieving by Coll. Good call by ref as well.
What was the call? Don't know a lot of this sport
"he's a real popular man here in Chicago, for whatever reason" 😃😃
mathew vs tamimi was amazing

Commentators version is much better than the initial one..
i think this is the best game
What, not even one with the great Ramy Ashur?!!!
You knew all along which one had to be number one.
Best compliment u can get is
“this is a joke”
16:45
4:51 I don't understand why they scored out
I don't know the rule either. But Coll's facial expression at 4:56 looks like someone who landed on his... ehm... secondary raquet.

PSA SQUASHTV and either of those was big enough on its own...
Surprisingly no ashour vs elshorbagy
There were some rallies between Röster and Gawad…

Sefety is a priority and it should continue to be. You don't want any of these guys to tear a hamstring because of one stupid point.

Wtf man, paul coll was totally in control when he got let. He was ready to return a slow drive..
