I was very moved by this. I'm very old, and memories of my adolescent years have become more and more present to me. A secret love for another boy - unconsummated, incommunicable; still able to make tears flow down my cheeks. Lads of today; look into his eyes and let him KNOW.
This is one of the finest comments I have ever read on UA-cam. I am also quite old, and the memories of my adolescent years are far more precious and present to me than they ever were before. And yes, there were secret loves for other boys---and now I wish almost to the point of physical pain that I had let at least one of them know how I felt. I was given so many opportunities, but in the time and place in which I grew up, homophobia was rampant and dominant, and I was too much of a coward to defy it.
Great example of the hidden internalised conflict in many peoples minds coming to terms with who we are, against all the pressures were all set to comply with. Great use of fiction to make the point. Beautifully done !
Very well done short film. I am sure many could believe this story is about them and wish they have/had seen and had this mind struggle in their lives. I grew up in the 1970's where same sex couples were made legal but society still had problems in acceptance and tolerance. A society were many gays/lesbians married straight, had families. I had my 1 crush, someone I still love even today, never stopped loving actually. This film gives me the wish I had the courage @15 that I do now @60 to have told him how I felt and still feel about him.
Reminded me so much of the first time I played Truth or Dare with a friend from Junior high School... And wound up discovering that we both had feelings for each other. And yes we were both guys. It was the night I finally admitted to myself that this is who I am...and it was great to find I was not alone in my feelings, and desires.....and it felt Great to finally be able to admit who I am and be accepted. Also about the movie, the closeted guy is really cute!😊
So proud of you jackson you are so talented I can’t believe my wee fluffy haired baby has become such a strong, wise, talented, compassionate man love you heaps xx
To be who one is sometimes difficult due to social taboos created unnecessarily by those who have no understanding of the turmoil of the affected young minds. To educate both the parties is need of the day. Acceptance by all can give great happiness around the world. Beautifully created short film. Congratulations to everyone.
I loved the way you incorporated surrealism with reality to see the arc of discovery that is hidden perhaps in all of us, if we just let go. Very nice film.🤟
I want to share something from the heart. Growing up in the 80s, I lived in a world where being gay wasn’t just frowned upon; it was often dangerous and deeply misunderstood. Back then, the weight of shame and fear was a heavy burden to carry. I felt like I had to hide a part of myself to fit into a society that didn’t have room for who I truly was. But as I’ve grown and experienced life, I’ve learned the importance of embracing my authentic self. I’ve witnessed the progress that’s been made and how far we’ve come in terms of acceptance and understanding. I cherish the love and support I’ve found in my journey, and I hope that anyone struggling with their identity knows they are not alone. Life is too short to hide under a mask. It’s never too late to be true to yourself, to love who you love openly, and to stand proud in your own skin. Here’s to love, acceptance, and the beautiful journey of being true to ourselves! I was deeply touched by these reflections. As I grow older, memories of my younger years have become increasingly vivid and somewhat painful at times. I fondly recall a secret love I had for another boy-one that was never realized, never spoken, yet it still brings tears to my eyes. It’s incredible how those feelings can linger, even after all this time. To the young men and women of today, I urge you to look into each other's eyes and truly communicate your feelings. Don’t hold back-let him or her KNOW how you feel. Life is too short to stay silent about the love that could light up both of your worlds.
I was in my early 20's in early 80's. I have reflected on it a lot in recent years - at times it was like living in two different worlds - still trying to put it together.
With wine word amazing and realistic on the same time! AMAZING!!!!!!!❤❤❤🏳️🌈I wish to found my true love and if I have already found it i want to live in it! ❤️
I kind of thought it was supposed to represent him being ready to bare everything about himself to the world. If Lucas hadn't stopped him, he would have probably stripped completely naked, because he was done feeling ashamed of who he was, and who he loved. I kind of liked the gesture. Sometimes, words just aren't enough to convince someone you're not ashamed anymore, but you can't argue with actions that demonstrate what your words want to convey.
This is not just about internal conflicts but external and external is much worse. Just look at what you did to Carlson from Heartstoppers, 18 and not ready to have a coming out as you put it. It shouldn't have to be this way. Leave people alone to live their lives and make their own way.
An Intimacy Coordinator is a specialized consultant hired for movies with sex/love/intimate scenes in the script (usually involving nudity or near-nudity) to help the actors (male or female) get comfortable with one another, and to "choreograph" the sex scenes like a dance, with each movement carefully planned out, so there are no surprises for the actors. I'm not sure why this short movie would need an Intimacy Coordinator because there weren't any sex scenes. Sometimes, an.Intimacy Coordinator is on hand just in case any of the actors are feeling pressured or uncomfortable. It's simply a way of avoiding abuse claims that happened in some movies years ago.

A crush is a crush - gay or straight. Very well-done film.

"I don't want to be somebody's secret I want to be with someone who is proud to be with me" that line really hit me hard
Realmente essa frase é forte
Good luck. I only encountered users and liars.

Lovely film. And authentically portrayed!
Great movie. Loved the creativity of the script. Bravo for originality. ❤
Sweet film. Nicely done by all. Charles Dickens would have been proud to call it his own. God bless us, everyone!

Well done, Queer Love is complex, and loving ourselves can and will liberate us to be who we truly are. ❤

We’re all going to have to shed the colors that others have painted of our portraits. It’s the only way we can be.
it's a beautiful film congratulations ❤️❤️👍👍👋🇮🇹
Interesting concept. Perhaps one day you will revisit this and flesh it out.
I enjoyed what you presented. Thanks.
Oh... Oliver is nerdy hot! ❤❤
That was GREAT!!
Ohhh that Lucas he's damn handsome
True !
Great short. Not sure what was up with the shirt at the end. But it was very good

One can't "live" until one is honest with themselves..... and I say fuc_ the rest..... Be yourself.....
