I didn't think I needed this video but I did. I have never used a router before and I got this same one like 3 years ago as a set with the jigsaw that I actually needed. Now I need to use this router and I couldn't figure this stuff out! And it almost killed me! But thank you. Yes I did loose the 17mm wrench but Ill have to order one on amazon. My wrenches are thick!
Thank you for the helpful video, what seems easy to some may really help someone else out. These tools can be dangerous if not used properly. You will never know how many fingers you saved with the battery tip alone.
Thank you! This tool in particular is definitely one of the more dangerous ones. If I could help even one person not get hurt than making the video will have been worth it. Thanks for the awesome comment. Made my day!
Someone may have said this already, but taking the base off allows much better access to the collet with the wrench. Unclip it from the ring, loosen the latch and slide it off.
Thanks, good instructions. Question: I need to remove 1/8 inch depth from a flat surface of 1 inch width. What tip should I get for removing flat surface, not round?
You can use a round bit but just make sure you trace out with pen or marker the area you need routed and then take a scrap piece and set your depth on that perfectly. Then just go around you're traced mark. That's the way I would do it.
You're welcome! Glad the video helped. There's always more to show but the camera battery only lasts so long haha. Thanks again and thanks for watching, have a great night!

I wouldn't just because the plastic is used a safety mechanism and also a guide
