I agree with your assessment on the Kia Sportage. I test drove the hybrid and the base model. The hybrid has a ten year 100k mile warranty but I'd reach the 100k miles way before the ten years (which covers the battery, $5,000 replacement). I went with the base model (which looks and performs amazing). The hybrid also has a turbo, another expensive cost after the warranty expires. I'd like to note that I'm 6'3" and i have plenty of leg room. My new Sportage is beautiful, white with black interior. My car is doing fine, albeit with engine oil consumption issues, but not as bad as it could be, and my mom’s 2016 Sorento had its engine seize at 60,000 miles (in the middle of driving). There’s a reason they have a class action lawsuit starting for it. 😩 After all these issues surrounding Hyundai and Kia, I’m going to have to see the cars last for a while and have fewer engine issues like seizing and fires before I get another one. I had two people at the dealership told me to dump the car and another person told me to let the engine seize because that was the only way they would replace the engine. No idea wtf is wrong with this company and I feel like they’re not doing anything to appease existing customers. I think it’s fine if you are leasing and not planning on keeping the car for a long time or to high mileage.
Why don't you look for positve instead of negative? Look at JD Power, they give Kia highest ratings in recent years for reliability. I would guess with all the work they do to get the facts, they know more than anyone else you are reading.
The is great design, if there is a new designer, the is a big change in the design of KIA….he must be German or is he from Audi because I think Kia is German now. Even the interior is Audi, no harm in doing German.

I like the logo
Here in St. Louis you’re going to pay at least 3K over sticker
FONT = WINNER
Only in a first world country would people complain about little inconvenience like the audio and A/C display
They may look nice, but I personally would stay away from kia/hyundai. There's tons of better options out there.
People searching KN don't know how to write the letter N 🤪
logo 10+ great
Really like the new logo but I’ve only heard bad things about Kias
Why don't you look for positve instead of negative? Look at JD Power, they give Kia highest ratings in recent years for reliability. I would guess with all the work they do to get the facts, they know more than anyone else you are reading.
Interesting pronunciation…can’t say I’ve heard anyone else say “Sportage” like that!😂
I love my new kia the features you get and the luxurious look for this price is the best on the market for the price point
A Kia Sportage coupe will look great
HOLY SH-T! I just realized it's KIA and Not K-backwardsN
17 will give better ride. more tire smoother ride.
The ride on this vehicle is amazilngly good. I have a bad lower back and my choice of vehicle was partially chosen on ride quality.
The is great design, if there is a new designer, the is a big change in the design of KIA….he must be German or is he from Audi because I think Kia is German now. Even the interior is Audi, no harm in doing German.
118, 000 millas motor roto
El
Dealer me dijo que la garantía es solo 5 años
KN... ahhh ofcourse must be americans that search the obvious KIA logo and read it as KN :D
It's ugly. Why do all the new cars have a flat face? What happened to aerodynamics?
The lie habits of Toyota salespeople are amusing.
👌👌👌
the new KIA logo is a winner
Hate the new logo. Looks “Korea North”
Yeah you don't but this vehicle for speed 🤦🏻♂️
I wonder what you mean by that. yeah, If you are the type to race from light to light, then this is not for you. On a 1500 mile trip, I did speeds up to 82 MPH with absoutely no problems with power.
Kia Sport"ah"ge.
KIA / Hyundai 4cyl engine’s tend to catch fire more often than a Ford Pinto blowing up.
Not in the last ten years but keep broadcasting that.
If they catch fire like you are saying then Why are they so common everywhere and now the 5th biggest automaker in the world ?
@@brokeboy87 It’s on the news every month or so in WA state about new KIAs /Hyundai’s catching fire.
Our local KIA dealership went out of business bc a lot of their vehicles were catching fire.
Word got out and everyone stopped buying them
@@Doc1855 When the executive at kia global continue to see an increase in sales even with chip and other material shortages, people are still on board with the progress the manufacturer is making despite some issues.
@@brokeboy87 I won’t argue with you.
I personally know 3 different people who have owned a KIA and 2 Hyundai products and 2 caught fire and the other one, the engine locked up at 90K miles forcing Hyundai to put in a new engine.
Pronouncing the name wrong.
Spor-tarj.
I like the new logo because it doesn't say KIA
Their new logo was a very bad option, when I saw it on the road for the first time, I thought it was a new brand, new vehicle being manufactured from an unknown company.
Laughable…
Kias are JUNK! I've been selling them since 2008, they come off the truck with 4 miles, blown engines wont shift, dashboard not working, worst road noise ever on highway STAY AWAY FROM KIA.
Their engines are JUNK!! They burn more oil then gas! If they would fix that issue kia would be a force for sure!
I travel a lot and already have 15000 miles on my Kia. It has not burned any oil. So tell me, exactly when will mine start burning oil?
How will you know if it's burning oil?
Americans need to learn how to pronounce Sportage and Mazda properly 🙄
Blah blah blah…still a sows ear…
Love the new logo
potential companies to do business with, I would seriously debate doing business with Kia finance or any of their related companies. The various departments went out of their way, repeat out of their way to cause such inconvenience for me that it's nearly unspeakable. At the end of my lease I was provided options to purchase or return a vehicle but also had the option to exsend the lease up to 6 months while choosing to make a decision on a new purchase or lease. I simply wasn't ready yet. I was told I had the option to continue leasing my current vehicle for another 6 months with full coverage. The company accepted 2 months of advanced payments so I was covered at least until June 20th. I did this all Believing that I had my least extension however I've been receiving notices from a different apartment saying I was in default and needed to return the car immediately. After sorting through all the disputed information it turns out that regardless of how many people at the head of various departments told me that I was allowed to continue the least, the bylaws of the company do not allow the least to continue under the name of a deceased person. At the time of my lease it was more advantageous to have my father Under his credit than mine. My credit is great now. However because the lessor is no longer living, there is no transfer option there is purchase or return. They let me believe I was on a month to month I paid 2 months ahead I paid a full year's registration and repairs to the car , I might not have committed to doing all those things if the intention would have been to return the vehicle for a new one... I am now left with very little options That will see me right side up with a vehicle, other than buy the car. I'm in a position now where I must buy the vehicle, With the expenses already put in it's counter productive not too. But you can feel that I don't Really want to give that corporation any money. I'm almost willing to cut my nose off to spite my face just to not give them another penny however they will back end me to death with return charges so again I'm caught between a rock and a hard place.
I got screwed royally and burned in the process to be dragged through the mud to have to re punish all of my father's documents to the deceased department just to be told That what I was originally told isn't true. I have no recourse....
So, KIA... what's next? My intent might be to buy the car now, but when I get around to paying for it is a whole different story.....
