This is my all time FAVORITE movie. River Phoenix in this movie was my 1st crush when I was little. Use to watch this movie over & over at my great grandma house when she would watch me. When she passed away I put this movie in her casket to remember me by. Love you grandma, thanks for doing this video Scott. 💜❤️💗
One of my favorite coming-of-age movies of all time I have watched it nearly 1000 times I’m 48 years old and every time I watch it I relive my childhood and friendships that I’ve had when I was an innocent teenager with no worries in the world thank you so much for the memories Scott the 80s movies TRULLY Rocked💙💯
I watched the film with my kids last week and just watched this video with them. Thanks for giving me that mime T with my kids, Scott. Your videos touch people as much and possible more than the films. Your passionate view behind the scenes bring so much to whole experience. Thank you!
I love my country, but I remember watching the movie Stand by Me as a kid and being struck by the beauty of America's good old days. Of course, that movie was made in the 80's, but the music that was playing, the atmosphere of the building, the simplicity of the people, the sadness, and the pure joy. rigor and freedom. It was all loveable. I wish I could go on a trip there someday.
I just felt like I needed to extend my gratitude. This video was very awesome to watch. Stand by me is a classic and always will be one of my favorite movies!
This is prob the first " adult themed " movie I remember watching. It's always held a special place in my heart. Like always thank you Scott, I feel like we go on adventures daily together 🥰 stay safe my friend
Now you have given me another movie to watch to refresh my memory of! And yes I am still friends with a close childhood friend that I have known since before we were both 12 years old. Great sweet memories are the best!
I’ve lost count at the amount of Sand by Me location videos I’ve watched but I never get tired of them. Hopefully one day I’ll make my way out to Oregon.
One of my favorites....you give me comfort food. You must have an 70's - 80's soul. I'm feeling like you're one of my children Scott. You must have very proud parents! So cool young man.
That’s one of the sweetest comments I’ve ever received Shelley thank you so much. I really love 70’s and 80’s pop culture (and especially the 90s although it is not an easily defined decade) and so much of what I love comes from my late father. A big part of why I do the channel is to honour his memory. And yes in Canada we spell honour with a U Lolol. Thanks for watching !
Thank you Scott for this. It's funny because last week I was thinking of the movie and how no one has done a locations then and now for awhile, and here you are! Thank you for all you do.
🤣🤣🤣🤣 I've been on a Scott on tape marathon and I know I sound like a lunatic answering you and laughing at your comments!! Thank you for taking me along lol
Hey Scott!! I love Stand By Me. That flooding. Always be careful & drive carefully. Wearing the Dorothy shoes, just click your heals three times and say, "There's No Place Like Hooome, There's No Place Like Hooome."
I lived in Oregon for a very long time and some people with acreage experience flooding like that every year. It rains a lot! You should have taken some waders with you 😂 thank you for doing the scenes from that Great movie!
Made in the 80's, depicting the 50's, but defines the 80's. You said it perfectly, Scott. The 1980's will be forever known for its "coming of age" movies that captured your heart, and Stand By Me played on this perfectly. I live in Oregon, and have visited a few of these sites. As I've commented before, I love being where these people once walked. Love your videos! I also want to add that Oregon was still much more of a rural state at the time the movie was shot, which lent itself to doing movies from a bygone era. Sadly, even Brownsville has become more suburban over the years. It's sad to see things change.
Awesome coverage...I just finally watched this movie 24 hours ago courtesy of my bro Jake and of course i had to watch your video of these locations ASAP!
One of my favorite movies. Thanks Scott. Glad you made it safe outta that flooding. You pick some amazing locations. I enjoy every video. Really look forward to seeing them. Safe travels and as always God bless you.
Just find your UA-cam today and now I’m binge watching for like 4 hours. I love Stand by Me. It defined my childhood. Greeting from Myrtle Beach SC. Keep it up friend!!
Hi Scott!! When I was growing up I never missed an episode of All in the family! Loved Rob Reiner as Meathead lol. Great video and an awesome movie! I never get tired of watching Stand by me.💜✌
Tremendous respect to you for not trespassing, thank you. I think you will get more clicks by doing just what you do, offering tasteful informative films, and you are pretty good about not crossing lines. Well done, someone raised ya right!
Wow, the flooding is no joke!! This was so awesome, I loved that movie and have wanted to see these locations for some time now. Great video, like always!!!!
Hello Scott, This was a fantastic idea for a vlog. My compliments to you for the idea and doing such a great job on it! This was one of those films that make you think and ...well kind of reflect at the end. I would say it gives you certain feelings when its over maybe because of the story line and how involved you get watching it. Thanks Scott and dare I say...sick job and sick balls! lol
Has been one of my favorite movies growing up as a kid in the 80s,and still my fave til this day..I have the special edition on DVD,that includes a CD with the movies soundtrack
