Bas you changed my life 15 years ago. I’m never forget how important your legacy is to me. It motivated me to become a great person. Thank you for that
Love to see Bas! Remember when I first saw this guy in competition dropping people with liver shots and putting them to sleep often with palm strikes which was incredibly smart and amazing to see to boot. Remember old defense videos put out by him which were also very entertaining, the guy is so likable and funny as hell. So much respect for Bas knowing it wasn't an easy journey bud. God bless, keep on keeping on my friend. Forever a fan! Edit: do you still sell the old merch you used to have that had a logo of your famous post fight four corner jump split?😁
I love Bas’s comments on Steven Seagal. Truth spoken. Sad how many of these so called martial arts guros fool enough into thinking their style is the way. However as good as they look on the movie screen they haven’t ever been tested in real combat. While the real deal like Bas Rutten has multiple clips of blasting fighters with liver palm heal punches that flatten them. Love those high kicks to the head or those Charlie horse kicks to the legs that slices them down like warm butter. That’s a real fighter who’s been tested.
Bas! I need to share this: About 10 years ago I fought professionally in kickboxing for the first time. I lost, it was horrible for me, I could do all the ninja double spin, flipping jump kicks, I was super fast and powerful, but my opponent just threw a simple jab the whole time, then a 1 - 2. I never gave up, and it went to dissension, but I was a bloody mess and lost embarrassingly. 6 months later my best friend brought over some DVD's...Yes, THE Bas Rutten fighting dvd's!!! I literally was mesmerized by your knowledge and teaching skills, I stayed up for 2 days, watching them over and over. I started training with a guy that fought in the K1's in Vegas, He was a Beast. 6' 2", 215 pounds of shredded muscle, his skill set was very high. I'm only 5' 9" and 170 lbs for context. He kicked the shit outta me for the first few weeks, but training with him coupled with your DVD's I was able to hang with him and give it back, after 3 months of intense training he did not like sparring with me anymore. I knew at that point I was ready for a real fight. Got it set up, and I knocked the guy out in 39 seconds of the first round! Bas, I can't thank you enough!!!!!
Bas is the go to guy for stamina no doubt BUT …. Listen the other guy jabbed you to win. That is a real lesson in skill . It is not how much u do but how good y r at what you do . A jab can beat 101 other things . You want to study fighting try to build a technique like that of Mayweather … do the minimum to win and NIP your opponents strengths … he did not even let the great Pac-Man throw too many punches . Something to think about
Bas I was in boxing and a kickboxing gym 4 years, but I learned sooo much from this vid for free that it feels like I just comitted a robbery. Thanks for sharing from Germany

This is incredible. There is so much high level information in this 45 minute video that it almost feels like a Phd in fighting. It's unbelievable, that he can even explain these concepts. Thanks so much for this video, Mr. Rutten. I’m 60 years old and I have Parkinson’s disease. I train in boxing five or six days per week at home and at the boxing gym. According to the doctors, vigorous exercise is the only thing that can slow down the progression of the disease. During and after training, my symptoms lessen and often go away for a while. Also, I really enjoy the training. My background is mostly in old school Korean Karate (Tang Soo Do Moo Duk Kwan) and Filipino martial arts. I started training when I was a teenager in the late 1970’s. I always loved hard sparring and gaining knowledge to improve my technique. I can’t wait to try this workout. I still like gaining knowledge and improving my techniques. Thank you so much for the many valuable morsels of knowledge in this video. I’m going to watch this video several times and take notes. Thanks.
Bas , I just want you to know that you changed my life. I saw your MMA instructional through a friend 15 years ago, and I was hooked. Today 15 years later, I train and teach full time, thank you for changing my life 🙏🙏🙏🙏
Been watching your videos for years, Bas. I love that you actually apply what you explain. You have a video on how to escape a rear naked choke and you actually did it when someone tried to prank you with a rear choke! Not even 10 minutes in and you're absolutely right about the 10 Best Left Hooks in Boxing video and not pivoting the lead foot. You're a living legend and thank you for still making instructional videos.
Amazing teaching from Bas! Thanks a lot, many years ago l learned from your "big book of combat", l used your tapes for training boxing, Thai etc, and your videos specially "extreme pancrase" amazing nostalgic. I'm proud to see new videos from you. Respect from Albania
no, but I found ways to work around it, you can tell with my right hooks, that's not great technique (I might have mentioned this in the video). But thankfully I got my triceps back, so crosses are great! Godspeed
@@OfficialBasRutten If I remember correctly you said the issue is in the spine/nerves? I suggest you try stem cell therapy. People say the affected area heals up better than before the injury. It's expensive but is worth it. It's legal in Mexico and Israel (I think). Ask Joe Rogan, he has experience with it. Keep up the good work, legend.

Haha, yeah those workouts are great, people don't know that there have been 18 new ones for like 10 years, you can find them at www.bodyactionsystem.com. Wish I would get asked back for Bas and Jeremy in the men's room , that was a lot of fun! Godspeed
@@OfficialBasRutten I think you need to advertise them more. I only found them by accident. I did the workout with my friend and he loved it. If people knew about it, tons of people would buy it because most people hate doing cardio. This makes it fun.
This whole clip is worth gold. I literally sat for 43 minutes making notes for myself and preparing schemes for next coming workouts. So grateful to have this for free here. Bas, you're the man. So much knowledge. Thank you, Sir!
Always been a fan Bas. I have had a similar injury (from street fighting) to the neck and brachial plexus that caused muscle atrophy on my right side. I tried to head kick somebody (who deserved it) he tree topped me bad. Anyway, you have made tremendous progress rebuilding. It's weirdly something I always look at when I see you online to gauge how your recovery is progressing. Looking good. 👍
I'm still using your MMA Workout to keep fit. Those 3 minute All-Around Fighting rounds have never gotten easy enough for me to go all 7 rounds throwing as hard as I can and jumping knees to chest between rounds.
I could watch this 100 times and still get more. A lifetime of experience and 45 minutes of solid gold. Thank you Sir for sharing so much with us. I took notes and will be at the bag in the morning. Osu
I wonder if Will Smith would have even attempted to slap Chris Rock if Mr Rutten had been standing next to him that night. Probably a very different outcome that night. I would like to see a do over with that situation. Just my thoughts. Always enjoy the knowledge you share with us Bas!!! Aka Baddest Man on the planet.
thank you, Will wouldn't have done that, I met him a few times at the gym actually. This is when pressure gets to a boiling point and then, when a drop makes the bucket overflow, there is no break. Horrible what happened, but I am sure he believes that himself as well.
Bas I remeber downloading your boxing/mma audio tape when I was a kid. Spent hours and and hours on the bag in my garage, when I went to a boxing gym the coach would not believe I'd never been trained before. Had (and won) my first bout within 6 months of joining a gym. Respect my man!
Bas Rutten's workouts got me in the best shape of my life. It helped prepare me for my krav maga instructor training back in the day. I am a big Bas Rutten fan! Thank you!
physics at play - for every action, there is an opposite and equal reaction. as hard as you hit a person, you will be pushed back at the equal power from your own punch. planting your feet is critical.
Thank you for the advice at Kumite. I’m so glad you put up videos about the info you told me, so i could go in depth with it more, you’re probably the most underrated coach on the web, your video catalog is a basket of diamonds. I’m studying very carefully and building the Bas 30 mins slowly, plus you’re breathing and stretching techniques. Everything is Gold. My magnanimity will be higher than all my competitors, now to show it at some smokers. thank you Bas OSU
Mr. Rutten, your the first man in my whole life to say to put 100% power in each punch yet I have been training that way for years. I recently have done 20 rounds 3 minutes per round with a 1 minute break in between on a 106lbs bag (free standing) and was knocking it over with almost every punch.
This video is like a warm blanket. Reminds me of the street fighting vids you made when I was a baby. I learned to much, especially the grappling stuff.
Okay Bas - so now that you are a "couple months over 18" :-) - but, you are still the "baddest hombre on the planet" - I have a request. Where nobody knows how to "crunch the real" like you - as to what will "truly work in any situation, street fight or attack" -- please do a series of videos as to how, "ahem", older men can still become "the baddest old man in town". All that meaning, how, regardless of being 50's, 60's - still, what can be done, trained, and brought into any fight that will put the "Boom of Bas" against any opponent. I mean it. This would be such a great and highly desired video series from the one who is "the absolute best at ... teaching the real"!!! -- Cheers and Thanks for all your sharing, My Man.

Today 15 years later, I train and teach full time, thank you for changing my life 🙏🙏🙏🙏
You are very welcome!
So much pure gold in this vid!
Always enjoy the enthusiasm in which you teach and the simplicity that goes with it as well. Well received and thank you
I can listen to Bas talking for hours. He explains things so good, the people that train with him don't know how blessed they are.
Absolute GOLD from El Guapo himself.
Going to be watching this over and over.
Thank you for this awesome material sir. Oss 🙏
Bas rutten has always been my favorite. His instructionals literally changed my entire fighting style for the better.
Another true badass loves his workout garage.3.5
Amazing teaching from Bas! Thanks a lot, many years ago l learned from your "big book of combat", l used your tapes for training boxing, Thai etc, and your videos specially "extreme pancrase" amazing nostalgic. I'm proud to see new videos from you. Respect from Albania
I have the "Big DVDs of Combat" and I loved them! Keep making videos like that. You light a fire in the souls of your fans, such as me!
Looks like Bas has corrected the muscle tissue in his right arm to an incredible degree. That's so awesome to see.
no, but I found ways to work around it, you can tell with my right hooks, that's not great technique (I might have mentioned this in the video).
@@OfficialBasRutten ah, well it looks good aesthetically Bas! It seems like you’ve built up size in it. God bless you sir. I always buy all your instructional products. Thanks for giving this to the public.
@BasRutten thank you so much for passing this on to the next generation. You are one of my heros mate!
He's the man. Bas has incredible fight intelligence
Bas thanks for all the guidance and also hysterical laughter over the years. From Ireland 🇮🇪
haha, you're welcome!
That reply below waste as well, weird name, I know....
This is how Bas was able to go "dengethedengetheDENG!" one day and he just kept going since 😁
Bas's instruction is so clear and concise and informed. The best!
Thank you bas
I love this video this reminds me of the old DVDs I had of your training material back in the mid 2000s.
Please do more
Hey Bas, u real lion. I never not forget yours fight with Kevin, when he tamped you to the floor for half an hour, but you didn't give up. Historic fight. You're a real gangster⚔️
Thank you Bas! I learned from your books and tapes. A lot of techniques and training tips very useful.
Bas you are the one person I could sit there for hours listening to instructional martial arts. Glorious. Due to the fact you were so good and had a coveted carer, I just want to hear your opinion!!!
Love your stuff Bas. We have your "Big DVD of Combat" and your self defense stuff. Keep putting more stuff like this out, love the talks on stamina and getting in fighter shape.
Groetjes Leon!
@@OfficialBasRutten I speak swedish and I can understand what you are saying! :-D Cool!
🙏🥊 groetjes
Thank you Mr. BasRutten!!! CHAMP!
I just bought your Boxing/MMA workouts and DEAR GOD. I couldn't even make it through 3 minutes of the 2 minute boxing rounds my first two times. A week later I made it through all 10 rounds. Unbelievable cardio and combo training. Best cardio workout ever 💪💪
Btw, when are you going back to The Men's Room with Bas and Jeremy!!🤣🤣 🤣 You look healthier than ever. Hope all is well
Haha, yeah those workouts are great, people don't know that there have been 18 new ones for like 10 years, you can find them at www.bodyactionsystem.com.
Brilliant Bas , we need to see more of you on UA-cam either fight talking or comedy or both you always cheer me up😅
This whole clip is worth gold. I literally sat for 43 minutes making notes for myself and preparing schemes for next coming workouts. So grateful to have this for free here. Bas, you're the man. So much knowledge. Thank you, Sir!
LiTeRaLlY!
This is the single greatest video in the history of videos. I love you Bas. You're a treasure.
Thank you so much, Bas. You are a living legend, all-around badass, and one hell of a role model! You are one of my heroes!
appreciate it, thank you!
Bas what a beast! Amazing fighter and an outstanding teacher. Bas is giving us All those little but important details that count
I'm still using your MMA Workout to keep fit. Those 3 minute All-Around Fighting rounds have never gotten easy enough for me to go all 7 rounds throwing as hard as I can and jumping knees to chest between rounds.
Just found this channel and I'm pumped. Been a huge fan of El Guapo since I can't remember and hope this channel explodes to Mars.
Oh hell yeah. Happy New Year, Bas!
Happy New Year!
I have alot of respect for bas . He is a great teacher and humanitarian. I love watching his old fights . I need my own heavy bag at home .
😮🔥🔥🔥
Good lookin' out!
Yeaaa buddy
One of the great warriors of this epoch. Mr. Rutten, thank you for sharing.
Happy New Year Bas!
Happy New Year!
I loved your tutorials and doorman stories...... Once you say a pivot is stupid, i consider it stupid. Nice to see you again on mat. Cheers Bas
Seeing and hearing from bas is always a treat he got me interested in mma and now I'm a fighter
welcome to the club!
I also perform intervals, have done for 25yrs, I like 1min work 20secs rest for 40 mins as hard as I can with SLAYER in my ears! Cheers Bas 🍻
cheers, love it, for me it was "Rage against the machine"
🔥🔥🔥
So happy to see ur arm recovering, you are looking great Uncle Bas, valuable info. Thank you!
Thanks BAS. All the details are not only clearly explained by you but you help us understand the reasoning. So dope!!
What a LEGEND! Bas was a true inspiration to me, from the first time I saw him in a DVD of PRIDE FC, as a commentator! Loved the good old days!
This video is like a warm blanket. Reminds me of the street fighting vids you made when I was a baby. I learned to much, especially the grappling stuff.
Bas,
your Experience in fighting is invaluable, your giving out GOLD in this lesson trainer. 😊
Training instruction from the champ El Guapo, I'm definitely subscribing. My sensei & I used to share VHS tapes of your Pride matches with each other decades ago. Love your liver work.
the info about the open stance improved me waaay up
I frequently do muay thai and everybody in different martial arts mainly says "you have to stand like this or you have to stand like that" .. bla bla
most of the time it never feels natural.
❤❤❤ Thanks Big Man
You're a hero to me Bas. Keep inspiring brother.
Bought Bas training cds back in 2005 i still use them. I got a heavy bag and love the boxing cd 7 rounds and 10 rounds.
Bas ik kijk je techniekvideo’s al voor dat er zoveel content bestond op youtube. Ik kom je net toevallig weer tegen hier na al die tijd en zoals gewoonlijk goede materiaal. ❤
This man is an absolute legend, and a fantastic teacher.
