This video is a brief first experience with coding my G01 BMW X3 with BimmerCode, using the Veepeak OBD adapter. As you’ll see in the this video this adapter isn’t exactly the best for the Gseries BMW.
I was able to code a few things with the Veepeak but it’s really slow and laggy so I will be doing another video when the correct adapter gets here.
In the mean time I was able to code
-Tailgate open/close from key fob
-200 mph M performance dash
-Alpina digital dash
-Tire pressure temperature and psi
-Bowers and Wilkins sound profile

That was the first bimmer code I did to my X3. Sooo convenient. I can’t believe it doesn’t come standard lol.
Blame the ancient US laws! The coolest features that Euro bmw have the US doesn’t allow so it’s coded out from factory

I wanted to Thank You , I followed your video on Bmw X3 Tailgate keyfob , I used (OBDLINK CX} with Bimmercode ,open and closing when smooth also did the tailgate warning sound . Thank Again!!

I try coding in the beep on lock which successfully completes on app but does nothing in the car. The option doesn’t even appear in the I drive

Carbon Black is a stunning color, sometimes blue, black or slight purple depending on the sunlight

I can close and open my tailgate using the key fob. Came standard. Maybe becoz am in South Africa, different regions. What is the name of the coding unit that is compatible with the x3 2022 G01 series? The one u r waiting for Ramone?
OBDLink CX, Amazon link in description as well. Also the United States has some ancient laws when it comes to headlights and stuff like those so I’m pretty sure that is why we couldn’t close the trunk from key

Hi! i'm waiting for a new X3 and i have a doubt. Actually we drive a Volvo XC60 and i can connect USB memory with videos and play this on the screen (2 daughters, 3 & 7 years). I saw on this video (11:26 minute) options to enable video via USB. We need enable this to play videos from USB?
I enabled it to play videos while the vehicle is in motion but you don’t need to enable it to play from usb
I can not open the trunk with a kick even if my life depends on it ...
Go to vehicle settings doors and locks then trunk and click the two boxes to activate kick to open/close also you must have the key fob on you and just kick and move
did you notice that small fan symbol or icon on AC after coding, when you turn off the car it stays on AC display... how to make it disappear?
It goes away when the AC is off or the car loses power, you can still run the fan without the engine running it’s just not AC but that’s why the fan icon is there
yeah, but normaly. there is no fan icon...only after coding , i noticed, when I change display type of instrument cluster, so after this coding that icon shows up. And I dont know if it disappears after some time, or what ... and if I use standard display mode, icon goes away....

Hi there, in your trunk there is something that keeps items from falling out. Was that after market?
My trunk has the factory optional full size spare wheel which is why the floor is raised up and the standard oem cargo retractable cover
Did you noticed the harsh close of the trunk in the X3 G01 LCI? It can be anything, but not "soft-close"...
Having a previous X1 F48, I've coded the trunk to really soft-close, using the instructions from this video:

Do you know how can be coded the same speed reduction for the G01? Bimmercode show other options in Expert Mode comparing with the F-series.
I did watch Eddie’s video, I purposely chose to not code this feature because i feel like a softer close might not close it all the way and it might open while driving lol just a mind game but I can look into it and shoot a video this weekend

Is that a protective case for the key fob? I heard people having issues with the trunk randomly opening, but key cover fixes. Thanks great videos as always!

No clue US models does not have rear fog lights
Can you beamer code mirroring onto your X3? I don't see mirroring available on my car, can it be added? then can you add video in motion?
mirroring only works on android devices
Hey it seems like the buttons have a white light during the day and they turn orange at night which I know is a bmw thing but i hate it, so my question is, do you think there’s a way to program the lights to stay white all day long?
So after playing with the new obd adapter I don’t see much coding options on the G01 platform and I highly doubt that’s a coding possibility msybe in expert mode

OBDLink CX I used it in my other coding videos as well as the EXC Tool WiFi adapter. After using both recently I prefer the EXC WiFi adapter because it’s insanely faster than the OBDLink and they are the same price

it’s in diagnostic mode

You need the OBDLINK CX this one in the video doesn’t allow all the functions
