Just a friendly FYI, the preset buttons have quite a bit more functionality than just remembering radio/audio stations for the driver - they can also be used to jump to almost any menu setting in the iDrive menu - by holding the numbered button of what one wants to select when they are in the menu, until it is saved. i.e. navigation directions, tire pressure settings, etc. And one can determine which setting is saved on each of the 8 presets (7 in certain models) by gently resting their finger over the button. And most functionality is also accessible via voice by pushing the microphone button on the "audio button" side of the steering wheel (on most models). You also accidentally forgot to show people how to pull the signal stalk for the brights and to push it in to keep the brights on. Also, on the BMW's that have the rear climate control, once the Auto button is pressed, the rear ventilation will come on, thus decreasing the amount of fan pressure in the driver and front passenger area, and the rear climate OFF button must be pressed in order for the maximum ventilation/fan speed to operate in the very front compartment. That's true if the SYNC button is pressed on older models as well if the rear passenger climate control is on after pressing AUTO. Great videos, and keep up the awesome work! I used to live and work in NJ and Cherry Hill, Atlantic City for a few years, I know how difficult it is to live in that state! Good job bro! 😁😋👍🏻💪🏼✌🏻
Thanks so much for pointing these things out! Yes, the preset buttons are extremely versatile. I like to set them to sport displays and climate sync in cars not equipped with a hard key for sync. We appreciate the attentiveness, and glad you're enjoying the videos!
Just got my X3. Brooklyn gray. Gorgeous color. Rides like a dream. I’ll need to watch this video at least 10x to retain all this. I feel like I’m in a plane cockpit.
Congratulations on your X3! Brooklyn Grey is definitely a favorite. There's definitely a lot to take in, but it's worth taking it all in, you'll get much more out of your car if you know how everything works.
This solves the sunroof buttons for me. Couldn't figure out how to retract the visor, but didn't realize the buttons slide as well as press. Thanks! Well done video.
I have this same model. I don’t quite understand how the foot thing works to open and close the trunk. Sometimes I get it open after a few passes but can’t figure out if it’s one kick forward or swing back and forth and where the sensor sweet spot is. I don’t use bc I don’t want to be embarrassed when I’m out in public and it doesn’t open on demand. How does it work spot on?
Super informative and helpful. Almost makes me want to buy my next car at your location in NJ as I am sure you would not let me leave the dealership without some basic understanding of all the buttons! Thanks so much!😄

Hi, Can you add a function to the key for the 330e SE? There is a fourth button that seems to have no function. It has a diamond symbol on it. Thanks, btw I’m in the UK.
@@bmwofmorristown9038 I’ll try that today. Just getting used to the new car at the moment. It’s a 22 plate and has so many hidden features. What a drive the car is and the 32 miles or so electrically powered is fantastic for commuting, such a smooth drive. I was hoping I could program the key to sound the horn/alarm. I did always think that when I had been to the U.S, it was always genius that most times I had hired a car one of the buttons on the key fob would sound the alarm/horn. It just doesn’t seem to be a feature over here and on many occasions it would have been handy. Thanks for your reply.
@@derekhughes4028 Of course! A button to sound the alarm is standard fare on most vehicle keys in the US. And I've never seen a button to flash the headlights. Funny to note the little differences between US and UK spec cars. May be a regulatory thing.

That is a possibility, but an in-operational outlet does not necessarily mean a blown fuse. I'd ensure that whatever device you're trying to power works in other outlets, to rule it out as a potential issue.
A question if you don't mind. I'm waiting for my X3 in production now and I'm wondering if it will have HUD. It has Dynamic Handling, Shadowline, M Sport Pkg ZMP, M Sport Pkg 237, and Prem Pkg. I can't find HUD listed anywhere either as an option or part of a package and my BMW Rep doesn't know. Thanks in advance for your help. PS... It's a '23
Sure, if the car has a HUD, it will be clearly listed on the build sheet generated by the vehicle inquiry. Your salesperson should easily be able to access this information. That said, HUD is not currently listed as an option for 23 models. For 22 models, it was part of the Premium Package, but this is not currently the case for 23 models. BMW is pretty frequently dropping/changing options right now (as are many OEMs) due to supply chain and chip issues, and HUD seems to have fallen victim to this.
@@bmwofmorristown9038 - I have a copy of the build sheet and it is not on it - that's why I was asking. Thanks for the info, not the answer I was hoping for, but at least I know now. :=(
I just took a look in an X3, I'm not sure what you're referring to... the only thing besides the handle and coat hook in that area is a small reading light.
