    Good morning my dear friend, this video is truly something so peaceful to watch. I almost feel like the whole world just stops, and I come to the most peaceful moments. Which for me is incredibly useful, mainly because lately I experience a lot of stress and feel like I need to stop for a more than a moment, and get grounded. You and your creativity help me through it. Thank you so much.

    Wonderful drone footage. I'm amazed you can sleep when it's so cold and windy. Maybe I'm just a whimp! Well done on another great video.

      Haha thank you Antonio. The equipment helps with the cold, and ear plugs help with the wind! Thanks watching 🙂 James

    Great video and drone footage as always 👍 Was up there last week myself, parked up in Talybont and walked up the Taff trail up to the reservoir and then up onto the ridge to Fan y Big via Carn Pica. Camped at the top of Upper Neuadd reservoir instead though. Was a nice mild night with almost no wind but misty in the morning - I think an owl spooked my dog early doors and she wouldn't settle so ended up walking out about 0400hrs down the Roman road and back round the reservoir under head torch! Great to get out again and good for the mind! So at least with your drone footage I can see what views I missed in the dark!!

      Thanks Chris. That sounds like a good trip out, apart from your poor dog getting a scare! I see a few people camping by the reservoir - a good option for keeping out of the wind. I'm glad I could show you what was going on up top later on! Cheers for watching 👍 James

    Drone footage captured the size of those mountains amazingly 😮 another great camp out mate, and looking fresh in that jacket 😊

      Thanks Jim - I think the drone gives a much better feel for scale than the GoPro can. The jacket is way more stylish than I am 😂😎😉

    Love it on Cribyn. Think that’s been one of my most favourite summit camps. Thanks for sharing. Look forward to your next adventure. ATB Mark 👍⛺️🥾

      Thanks Mark. It's hard to choose a favourite spot in the Beacons isn't it? Cribyn is a very strong contender though, I agree. Subbed to your channel so I can see what you get up to 👍 Cheers for the comment. James.

    Great watch as always buddy, weather has changed now, so definitely not bivvy camping weather, it's autumn today as i send this, I think autumn and spring are the best seasons to camp in, I might be on my own there, but it's what I like.
    The views were lush especially when you said about the 45 degree incline, stunning 😍. They were from the drone in the morning too.
    Oh and forget what I said about food in my other comment, you did say what you had 👍🤗.
    I worked in Cyprus decades ago, the beer there was lovely, its called KEO. they do the best brandy too, that goes so well into steak dianne sauce. Thought I'd say that after your beer comment lol 😆.
    I don't know why, but the music at 18 mins 30 secs reminds of the music from flash Gordon when they are all in a state of unconscious, sorry for the long message, there was just so many things that reminded me of the past. Thanks for sharing and see you on your next adventure 👍 😀

      I actually only filmed this last Thursday, and I've just been treated to some lovely warm and sunny weather in Cornwall this past week, but the cooler weather is definitely threatening every now and then. I'm glad you enjoyed the video and reflected on some memories of yours - even if my music makes you thinks of unconscious people! 🤣 Thank you for watching and getting in touch 😊 James.

      Thanks Kev. I have to say I prefer clear skies that really show off the stars, but clouds in motion are a beautiful sight. I'm loving the Cumulus jacket!

    Just catching up with this one. Really enjoyed it and there's every chance that during some free time I've got coming up at the end of next week I'll be venturing down there now (4 hours or so)......thanks ☺️

    Thumbs up done. Great watch James and great to see you out in the Beacons. Was thinking you must have parked in Blaen y Glyn for your walk. That's a fair trek carrying 16+kgs for sure. I was looking at your list and that does not include the camera gear and drone so maybe it was more than the 16kgs you mentioned? Not sure I could carry that sort of weight these days. Was going to say when you said you camped on the Bryn Teg ridge have yoiu walked the goat path that is cut across the side of Cribyn? It's something I have never done but must do it sometie. Also, I am sure you are aware but there is a small nice flat plataeu half way down Cribyn on the Pen Y Fan side that serves well as a camp spot but obvioiusly the views are nothing like you had.... atb Al

    • @joinmeoutdoors
      @joinmeoutdoors  Рік тому

      Thanks for the thumbs up, Al 👍 And you're right, I parked at Blaen Y Glyn and had that nice steep ascent to begin. My 16.3 kg pack weight did include the camera gear, but I haven't necessarily included EVERYTHING in the list in my video Description. It felt good to take the pack off for that short walk to Cribyn summit from where I pitched. I haven't walked that goat path yet, nor did I know about it. Thanks for the idea. That Bryn Teg walk started at Llanfyrnach, but I'm glad I bailed and stopped down below Cribyn. I might need that plateau (between Cribyn and PYF) another night if the weather isn't so kind to me! Thank you for watching, and I really appreciate the comment. I hope you're well 😊 James.

    Great video James as usual. I’m resigned to no big outings this year still ligament probs. Very depressing. Very hard to get treatment unless one’s leg is dropping off!

    • @joinmeoutdoors
      @joinmeoutdoors  Рік тому +1

      Thank you, Pete. I'm really sorry to hear that you're struggling to get treatment to allow you to get out in the fells. Keep trying!

    • @unclepeteswildadventures
      @unclepeteswildadventures Рік тому +1

      @@joinmeoutdoors thanks James. I think I’m going to get an X-ray privately to speed things up. I don’t think the ligament is torn. I had a end of pole on the sc1 shear off. The bit the goes into the hub. I bought it 2nd hand so may have been prior damage. Anyhow it’s fixed by TN at reasonable cost. I love that tent for ease of pitch/ability to take a beating. Please do keep going as my proxy. Cheers mate.

    • @joinmeoutdoors
      @joinmeoutdoors  Рік тому +1

      @@unclepeteswildadventures Unfortunately, I think private health care is the fastest and most dependable route in some instances, so I'm glad you're able to take that route to get you back up and running. That's bad news about the pole! I like that the poles have a long warranty (which even covers accidental damage), but I daresay this might be for original purchasers only. I'm glad it wasn't too costly, and I'm with you there - the SC1 is a really quick pitcher! I'll keep getting out with the cameras when I can, fear not. Support from people like you takes care of that, so thank you ✌

    Genuinely don’t know how your anemometer still works. I had the same model it died really quickly - even a new battery didn’t change it. They sent me a replacement and the same thing happened. Now neither of them turn on.

      Haha maybe luck of the draw? I'm surprised mine has lasted this long tbh, having a few knocks and exposure to damp etc. They're definitely in the "cheap and cheerful" category!
