Well guys, I've been watching your videos for a couple of years now, I think the first was the emergency wildcamping at moel prysgau. I think your videos are without a doubt, the best I've ever seen, I'm hooked guys! Keep up the good work Austin and Lucy, look forward to your next adventure. 👍
I'm from south Wales and live on the foot of the black mountain, I have enjoyed walking the brecon beacons since I was a kid and so am familiar with a lot of these places, nice to see them and your adventures in them, awesome guys, so glad I found you on you tube, well done.!
Thank you very much Glyn 👍. Wales is our favourite place to visit although we’ve struggled to get out as much since the grandkids arrived , hopefully we’ll be visiting more this year 🤞
A number of years ago, I was living on Cape Cod in Massachusetts. Typically, that area is not known for large amounts of snowfall. However, one winter, I had purchased a Sierra Design Hercules AST tent and a Sierra Design Arctic -20F sleeping bag. We were supposed to get about 12 " of snow so I thought I would test these to pieces of kit in my backyard before using them in the wild. As it turned out, we got ~30" of snow with a considerable amount of wind and the temperature dropped to ~-10F. Well, both items handled well and I spent a very comfortable and relaxing evening in the snow. Of course, it helped knowing that I only had to walk 50 feet to the comfort of my house. Also, in the sleeping bag, I only wore silk long underwear and ragg wool socks. Really enjoy your videos. Still love the concept of the Bothy in the UK.
Hi Douglas. It’s always good to test you kit first. Imagine finding out that they fail in those conditions out on the hill! A lot of people don’t realise at first that it’s much better to wear just a full base layer in a good sleeping bag in winter . It’s surprising how many people moan about their bags after a night fully dressed in it lol. Cheers. Austin and Lucy.
Please dont ever change how you do your videos. It makes me feel like a great friend taking me on a trip with them.❤ I seen others who starts their videos that feels like I'm watching a commercial or play only some horrible music and no dialogue (like someone giving me the cold shoulder). You and Lucy are real, warm and so friendly absolutely the best! Take care of each other and Marley and keep making these awesome videos! Thanks from Florida.
Love the vids guys. Keep it up. Every wild camp video i watch however people use gas stoves and some people have problems with theirs. I am an Army veteran and have owned a Coleman peak petrol stove for near 30 years and 2 sig bottles for fuel. I have used this stove for not only cooking rations on but also for long camps and fishing. The weight is slightly heavier however a full tank will give you approx 8hrs of burn time. The main advantage of it though is that it gives a great output in extremely cold temps. Just a thought.
Splendid!! Have to say, I would not want to venture out in those conditions, but with the right gear, you can put a man on the moon. Great video!! Marley rolling in the snow-what a crazy dog!!
It was a good test of the gear for sure , i must get that snow skirt though . Marley just doesn't care about the cold and snow , he'll even break the ice on streams and lakes so he can lay in the water , nuts !
If I ever have another bad trip (psychedelic) I'm going to stick you guys on. Beautiful scenery. Man and wife. Lovely dog. What life is about. P.s. The mountains saved me from depression and more. We're very blessed to be alive and able to climb them. Take it easy ✌
Thank you very much 👍. Yes, mountains are definitely more than beautiful scenery. They have so much more to offer, just wish more people could experience it but then again we’d only start moaning about how busy they were 🙄lol. Cheers. Austin and Lucy 🐶
Thank you. We haven’t uploaded anything for ages . Grandchildren and finances to be honest but we are hopefully planning a trip in the van to souther Spain in September. We plan to take the ebikes to the summit of Mulhacen which would be epic . Hopefully we’ll get a couple of camps in before 🤞
That was brilliant Austin. Testing conditions, so hats off to you all. I love Marley, tough as old boots. Thank god Lucy's OK after her slip. Can't believe some nutter was heading up into that with denims and trainers on........Excellent as always. Keep em coming. atb Andy
Cheers Andy . Marley's as hard as nails and seems to enjoy the harsh conditions even more . Lucy's always falling over and just seems to brush it off . When i go over i usually ache for a week . The trainers the guy had on weren't even "proper" ones ,just the plimsole type. Nuts. Leaving for Snowdonia at 3.30 am tonight so hopefully i'll have something to upload next week . Atb . Austin .
Always look "2 feet forward " to your vids lol. Your like me Austin, the worst weather the better, I follow the rain and snow at the weekend, love it ATB to you both and can't wait for the next instalment.
It was a brilliant camp Darren , all the better with the weather . Funny how some of us look forward to the dodgy weather and some of us just don't get it eh.Thank for the kind words . Off to Snowdonia at the weekend so not long to the next one .Atb . Austin + Lucy.
There a theme here !!! everything goes well no matter what the weather is like with a little glass of red !!! great quality and narrative as ever really enjoyed it !!
loved this propper winter camping looked great... yous got everything the gear is for... well done great viewing.. bless Marley all tucked in so reminds me of giz... thanks for sharing hope lucy ok after falling ;)
Thank you Julie . it was great to finally get a proper taste of winter for a change rather than the rain and good to give the gear a test . Lucy was fine and thankful i didn't capture it on the camera ; ) Take care . Austin + Lucy.
I've watched a fair few of your videos so far and absolutely loved them - keep on getting out there for those of us that aren't able to do so due to being disabled etc - thank you :)
Tough cookies you's mind.. 795 metres.. in that wind !! .. really enjoyed.. well done guys.. bought some of those noodles to try so looking forward to them.. TFS.. ATB.. R&D :) :) nice to hear your getting the quasar overhauled.. such a great tent

Thanks Andy , very kind of you. This was one of my favourites as well , i love testing conditions as they make for the best memories . You know bleak if you grew up on Dartmoor for sure , we've done a few camps there and one of the coldest was on Dartmoor. Great to hear you'll be filming your next outing ,i'll keep my eye out for it . Cheers and all the best . Austin .
Collis Jeanette I know the Brecon Beacons quite well. Always wanted to Camp in Winter. But don’t think I,d Choose There. Brilliant to Watch though. Thanks Love to Marley
1st time I,v Seen your Video/s. Excellent. Thoroughly enjoying. Due to Now being disabled, I Now Use a Caravan. (Shadow is his Name)but unlike a lot, I don’t take Tv etc. Prefer to enjoy Tranquility & Our Countryside. As You do. Marley Must be one of the Fittest dogs. Out of interest What does he eat When Camping. It’s very difficult for Me. Because mine usually have Raw Meat. Not often possible when Camping
Sadly Marley is really slowing down now so no more cold winter camps for him 😟. The food is a bit of an issue due to weight . Especially raw food and if your out for a few nights , it's keeping it fresh . We tend to take a high quality complete dry food , one for working dogs is good and one of those small pouches of wet food a day mixed in to make it less boring and the packets are smaller and lighter than cans in the rubbish bag 👍
As soon as see - "2 feet Forward" or a "Scott Free" video turn up in my subscribe feed. I stop everything, and make a hot cup of tea & grab some biscuits, and sit and enjoy the adventure unfold... Another great video - Thank you.. :)
Love Marley.. lol .. he's a gem.. my little nugget LOVES sleeping bags, loves the tent.. I have her stay in the hammock with me too since she is a portable size 😜 .. love all these adventures of yours.. the scenery is just stunning.. ❤️
I bet she's like a little hot water bottle in your hammock lol. You'd think Marley was a Great Dane with the amount of room he takes up in the tent! Glad your enjoying the videos, it's great to hear and thank you for watching. Take care . Austin and Lucy.
2 Feet Forward .. Lol .. Panda is a first rate bed hog, regardless of where we're sleeping.. But she's definitely a lovely little built in heater! .. We're still working out the kinks in the hammock sleeping, she's part beagle and with being able to SEE outside the hammock, (unlike the walls of a tent) she tends to be a wee bit too hyper alert .. Lol ..lots of head swiveling and trying to get to the 'other side' to see.. Probably wouldn't be so bad if she hadn't seen a few bears in our trips out! She is frequently convinced any big 'blob' is a cause for concern!! Lol .. Thanks again for sharing all your trips. They're just wonderful.. I've been watching some of Scott's now too, it's fun to see how you guys overlap.. 😊
Thanks Kev . It was a good one for sure . A bit of wind and snow always adds a bit of excitement to a camp and it feels twice as good in the pub afterwards . Atb . Austin + Lucy
Brilliant trip again. You can also have the same comment I gave Scott. One day we may meet on the hill. I was going to go to Fan y big Saturday night but I went to llyn y fan fach instead. I hate the Roman Road. Done many forced speed marches along that. Windy gap is brilliant isn't it. Awesome camp. I'm jealous because you had more snow than I did. I measured the wind at 39mph on Sunday morning. ATB Mark.
Cheers Mark . Love Windy Gap , my brother went over the bars of his mountain bike there many years ago so it holds happy memories. The Roman road seems never ending sometimes but always worth it .Hopefully we'll get a bit more snow before the winters out . Atb . Austin
Thank you . It's amazing the different faces the mountains put on in different seasons . Lovely any time of year here though , just quieter in the cold! Atb. Austin .
Really enjoyed that. Got caught out in similar conditions up on Skiddaw in the Lakes Feb 12th 2017. Scary and awesome at the same time. When this happens, there is no way to know which country you are in! It all looks like the north pole haha. Great Vid!!!
Thank you . Can’t recommend it enough! Just take loads to make sure you’re warm and don’t go far 👍. Let us know how it goes if you do do a winter camp 👍
Thanks Mark . I've watched a couple of ice videos on Pen y fan , awesome . Just got back from Snowdonia which was much easier conditions and fantastic ! Hope all ok . Austin + Lucy.
Thanks 👍. We tend to use Sudocream as it’s thick and very water resistant. We also use what we call ‘Vet Wrap’ which is the crinkly looking bandage that sticks to itself for the upper legs. The only problem with the Sudocream is that it’s a bugger to wash out but it’s a small price to pay . Cheers. Austin and Lucy.
I love the way you guys take crystal wine glasses up the mountain. I am such a pleb I would probably drink it out of the bottle! haha That's a good tip, to put sudacrem (was it?) in between Marley's toes to stop them getting iced up.
lol. We tried persevering with our mugs but it just didn't taste the same so we got these plastic 'glasses' and they're great . The Sudocream works really well but you need to take a little extra to top it up along especially for the walk back.Self sticking 'vet wrap' is great to protect the lower legs from snowballing as well. Cheers . Austin and Lucy.
You guys are barking but have to say really like your videos and it inspires me to get back out walking. One question for you, what brand are your hats, especially the blue and grey one worn in this video ?
You should have kept your dog on a lead while walking on these mountains with snow or no snow. At 5.26 I thought your dog was going to go over the edge ! I enjoy your videos which are always good quality and interesting
Thank you 👍 . Marley would pull us both over on a lead! He’s ok honestly , he’s done been doing it for ten years and had no mishaps yet. He was 11 this year so he’s retired from the winter snow camps unfortunately. Cheers . Austin and Lucy.
Awesome A & L and Marley , real winter conditions no doubt. Where you get those noodles ? Glad you got the snow Scotland been so mild think i'm back in the rain on saturday in the Cairngorms , hopefully the plateau white. I can tell you enjoyed that one and why wouldn't you.Tent life with a dog maybe not good for the down gear . Great stuff !
Really great vid. Can’t beat a wild camp in the snow. I did my first in similar conditions on fan y big a few months back. Glad your Dog was ok with the ice. Be safe mate! 😊👍🏻
Thanks Gareth. The snow camps are definitely the best and always make the best memories.Marley coped fine as there was a good layer of snow on the ice . We haven't been to Fan y Big for a while now and should go back there .I bet that was a good winter camp up there. Happy camping! Cheers .Austin and Lucy.
2 Feet Forward ah good oh. I’m weary with my little dog. Although she’d never come camping haha. Well not in them conditions. No chance would the mrs!! I vlogged my trip too if you fancy a watch. Stay safe and have fun buddy 😊👍🏻
He was toasty , that pink coat is a really well insulated and waterproof summit jacket and he even has his own Thermarest Neo Air lol. ATb. Austin and Lucy.
Watched most of your vids now, but have just subscribed. As usual, really enjoyable stuff. Poor Lucy though, husband calling her a Hobbit, and having a giggle when she crosses rivers, and falls over. :-) Marley also seemed to be enjoying himself even more than usual- if that's possible. Look forward to more from you guys.
Thank you Ruby , glad you enjoyed them . Lucy gives as good as she gets , honestly , but i do the editing so i can cut it all out ; ) Marley's nuts and seems to love the weather on the extreme side . He never bats an eyelid even at the worst conditions . Thanks again . Atb. Austin + Lucy .
At 12:43 how many layers are you wearing if you can remember? Is the outer navy blue jacket the Prism? I am thinking about getting a prism. Is it good for 5 Celsius with a light base layer? How tall are you and what size did you get?
Hi there . At 12.43 i had my Prism jacket on under my waterproof and a medium fleece but earlier in the video you can see me put it on over my waterproof (4.05). That's why this is my favourite bit of clothing . it stays warm even when wet . it's very windproof and perfect for those temperatures if your on the move but you would need something warmer if your just sitting around. With a good fleece and base layer it's a great set up . I'm not sure if they still do it but there is a slightly warmer jacket with thicker Primaloft just above it in the Montane range that could be worth a look . I'm 6ft and wear the large so it goes well over the waterproof on days like this. . Hope this helps . Cheers . Atb . Austin.
Thank you, we live in the South so we hardly ever get snow but it’s much more common further north and in the hills and mountains. The highlands of Scotland are stunning in winter but conditions can be harsh to say the least 🥶.
You’re virtually guaranteed snow on the peaks in Snowdonia from Jan to March . As a rule if it’s raining in the villages , it’s usually snowing on the peaks . It’s not as white in the beacons but a good way to check is to look at the live webcams . Just search on google and again, if it’s a coldish day and raining low down , it’s probably snowing at 800m 👍
Just remembered . Check out Mountain Forecast , it gives a very accurate forecast and will tell you the freeze line height . If the line is at 500m on a 700m peak and it rains , it will snow above 500m 👍
@@2FeetForward thanks this is great! Do you have a good video on being ‘snow ready’ with the appropriate gear. Could you be ok with ice grippers or do you reckon you always need crampons and axe?
Hi Linda. This is in the Welsh mountains in South Wales above the tree line. Marley is a welsh border collie /English springer ,brains and bags of energy 🐶. Atb . Austin and Lucy .
Hi I am new to seeing your videos I really enjoyed it a lot ,your dog is amazing to were his paws ok from that weather ? I loved seeing your adventure thanks for sharing
Hi Cassie, thanks for the kind words and glad you enjoyed the videos.. Marley's paws were fine afterwards , dogs have a special system in their paws which 'borrows' heat from warm arteries in them . The cold blood in the paw is 're heated ' but never goes back to their bodies which would chill the dog , it's like having built in snow boots, really clever . The other problem is the build up of ice balls between his toes , usually a good smear of Sudocream will stop this but I forgot to do it this time so regular stops and de icing were called for . ATb . Austin.
one thing I notice is there is a "no fires" warning in mid-winter,I would have thought at least in mid-Winter, it would have been removed as I very much doubt forest fires could start in snow-covered land. just one more thing, wouldn't it have been much easier to empty those cardboard containers and put everything in small plastic sandwich bags because everything you bring in has to be taken out
I doubt the main motive behind the signs wasn't forest fires .Its all the idiots that leave all the fire scars around the car parks that have done it. We put all our food in baggies on the longer multi day hikes but this one is just a few miles 👍Cheers . Austin and Lucy.
Thank you 👍. It’s an original 90’s Wild Country Quasar , before they formed Terra Nova . The modern Quasar is basically the same just lighter but just as bombproof 👍. Cheers . Austin and Lucy.
Cheers Garry . The tent is an original Quasar by Wild Country before they were Terra Nova . It's a bit heavier than the current ones but still going strong for 20+ year old tent . Atb . Austin.
Hi there , it's an old original wild country Quasar and it's over 20 years old now and still going strong! Marley loves it whatever the conditions ,he's a proper mountain dog lol. Cheers ! Atb. Austin.
That looked epic. You said it mate, harsh conditions. I'd hate to think how them three blokes got on and one wearing jeans n trainer's is unreal. Atb Sconja 👍
Here it is but it’s gone up a fiver as Lucy got it a couple of years ago www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00KAYU63M/ref=cm_sw_r_sms_c_api_.TpsBbPPKZBJR . Cheers .Austin and Lucy.
I have the Trangia with Gas Convert with is quite bulky, but want to do some Wild Camps (Too many dorks spoiling some of the valley camps recently!!) Might go for the Highlander Blade 2 (which is rated as good as the JetBoils)
Unfortunately we know what you mean about the idiots 👎. The Highlander is hard to beat for the money , Alpkit do a great version as well and I think there is a bigger pot for boil in the bag meals and actually cooking . We should get one of these types for our longer hikes as we literally only boil water for rehydrating meals and making tea and coffee. My issue with Lucys stove is it uses a bit more gas whereas the jetboil type are really economic .Cheers . Austin .
Another great video. The mentality of people out in those conditions in jeans and trainers. It's the poor sods in mountain rescue who have to fish them off the mountain that I feel sorry for.
Hi Philip , it's crazy the gear some people wear out on the hill . We saw a few this weekend heading up Snowdon and i thought the exact same thing about the mountain rescue .
Hi Mark . Marley has a Hurta summit coat which is insulated and waterproof. It covers all his major organs an protects him from the cold . At night he sleeps on a insulated reflective mat and he has his own down quilt which he lies on and it also covers him . On top of that we cover him with my montane deep down jacket so he really is toasty 👍 . Being half welsh border collie he’s as tough as nails . We have tried winter doggy boots but they didn’t last the first hill before he ripped them off with his teeth ( much to my dismay as they cost over a hundred quid!) . Most hardy breeds have a very clever system which shuts the blood flow from they’re feet and stops the cold blood returning and chilling the body . As soon as they stop the flow is released and the feet heat up very rapidly . It’s like having built in snow boots. He’s never had any problems and deals with the cold way better than we do to be honest. Thank you for asking and rest assured I would never risk hurting him , he is our baby after all 🐶. Cheers . Austin and Lucy.
We have tried them thanks Peter. Marley chewed one off before we made it up the first hill and lost another! They were good ones at over £100 a set 🙄. Cheers. Austin and Lucy.
Karl Wood It's spelt fan y big but the pronounciation is much funnier 😂, you normally such a good polite son x Would love you and Shannon to camp with us one day x x
Aloha from England! Thanks . The camera was a GoPro hero 4 black which until recently was all I used but I’ve just got a Sony Fdr x3000 action camera which is even better I think . Cheers . Austin
Great video. Thank you. Did you use a TNF Mountain 25 as your tent? It looked like it. I want to get one for this season. It looked like it held up well in the conditions that you had, but I can see how a snow skirt would be helpful :)
Thank you Andrea. No the tent is a 20 year old Wild Country Quasar .They are now made by Terra Nova equipment and quite a bit lighter It's very similar to the TNF but has two identical entrances on both ends . I would trust either one . I still haven't got round to having the skirt fitted and we're hopefully heading for snow this weekend 😀 .Hope you get your new tent soon . Cheers .Austin.
Thanks for your quick reply! Have fun this weekend. Hopefully, you'll get some good snow and wind again, because those trips are the most fun. Yes, I need to order my tent soon. The biggest problem is finding people to go with in the Winter! :D
Hi guys got to take my hat off to you for that one a real white out fair play to you for getting out in the white stuff Anyway guys really enjoyed that till next time keep em coming atvb to you both chris
Thanks Christopher . It feels twice as satisfying when your sat by a warm fire in the pub afterwards . Off to Snowdonia this weekend so more coming soon . Atb . Austin + Lucy.
Hi Alan , it was a good one this . My goggles are Oneil but i can't remember the model name . They're a few years old now though so probably discontinued but i'm sure they'll have an updated equivalent . Cheers. Atb .Austin.

Marley seemed to love every bit of this! I enjoy the videos of your travels!
Thank you 👍.Marley seems to enjoy conditions like this the most , we always said he was half mountain goat lol. Cheers . Austin and Lucy.

Thank you, we managed a wild camp on the bikes last night but it was a lot warmer than this lol. He was a hell of a dog our boy 👌. Hope all is well 👍

Austin - have just found your channel, and been thoroughly enjoying your videos.

Love your attitude about the weather. I'm the same as grew up on Dartmoor, so the bleaker the better - makes you feel alive.

Looks lovely. I was a bit worried about Marley on the edge though! My dog would have been straight over the edge.
Nice video.
Thank you 👍. We used to worry about Marley but we’ve finally got used it after 12 years lol. Cheers 👍.

Thank you John , that's really great to hear . You're now our favourite subscriber ; ) Atb . Austin + Lucy.
Lol
.. Thanks again for sharing all your trips. They're just wonderful.. I've been watching some of Scott's now too, it's fun to see how you guys overlap.. 😊
What a video pal that looked like an epic wildcamp .well jealous lol I love a good wildcamp in bad weather especially snow .
Atb . Austin
great camping guys!
i took the same trail to climb the cribyn in the summer with the family, it was good to see the same landscape in winter.
Thank you . It's amazing the different faces the mountains put on in different seasons . Lovely any time of year here though , just quieter in the cold! Atb. Austin .
I live 13 minutes from the Appalachian trail in America, we get Snow like this to.
Awesome Video. 👍
We can only dream of trails like the AT 🙄. Cheers. A+L.
Really enjoyed that.
Got caught out in similar conditions up on Skiddaw in the Lakes Feb 12th 2017. Scary and awesome at the same time. When this happens, there is no way to know which country you are in! It all looks like the north pole haha.
Great Vid!!!
Thanks . It's great when the weather tests you a bit and your right , it could be anywhere! Atb . Austin + Lucy
Groovy video.... Never winter camped.. may like to try it..
Thank you . Can’t recommend it enough! Just take loads to make sure you’re warm and don’t go far 👍. Let us know how it goes if you do do a winter camp 👍
Will do... I live in rural area won't have to travel to far...
I admire your hardiness, undeterred by all sorts of weather.
We seem to have the best camps when the weather is on the extreme side. Cheers A+L
In the 70's they used to ice climb up them fans (still do at times). Great winter conditions mind on this occasion....wonderful - healthy all. Mark.
Thanks Mark . I've watched a couple of ice videos on Pen y fan , awesome . Just got back from Snowdonia which was much easier conditions and fantastic ! Hope all ok . Austin + Lucy.
A pleasure as always both....getting there. Mark.
You guys are absolute insane lol. I just bought a 4 season fjallraven abisko 3 tent I'm dying to try it out this winter but you guys are extreme lol
Sorry, no idea how we missed this one. The Abisko is a good tent . Not long for the snow now 👍. Cheers. Austin and Lucy.
So cool dude I am from India
Thank you 👍. Greetings from the Uk !
What is it that you out in the dog’s fur to stop snow balls? Thxs. Great videos!
I love your winter camping videos.
Thanks , glad you enjoy them 👍. Atb . Austin and Lucy.
I love the way you guys take crystal wine glasses up the mountain. I am such a pleb I would probably drink it out of the bottle! haha
That's a good tip, to put sudacrem (was it?) in between Marley's toes to stop them getting iced up.
Terrific adventure in those conditions, thanks for sharing, great fun.
The conditions certainly added to the excitement that's for sure . Thanks for watching . Atb . Austin + Lucy.
Extreme guy's, looked a cold one but all way's the best fun. Marley need's his own channel, what a great dog you've got there. Loved it. ATB. Jim.
It was great to get a bit of proper weather Jim.Marley's always the star of the show , up for anything that dog .Atb. Austin + Lucy
Lucy has the cutest little giggle when she's about to drink her wine
You ought to hear her after after a few too many lol. Cheers . A+L.
LOL when he says he woke to a beautiful view and then he shows you around - there is nothing but fog and snow....
British sarcasm I’m afraid lol cheers. Austin and Lucy.
You guys are barking but have to say really like your videos and it inspires me to get back out walking. One question for you, what brand are your hats, especially the blue and grey one worn in this video ?
Thank you 👍. The hats are made by Sherpa and it’s worth a look at their site as the company has a good story to it . Cheers . Austin and Lucy.
Thank you for replying with the info and will definitely have a look at the site.
Very nice and interesting visit
Thank you 👍
Was a wicked camp and the weather just added to it, glad we finally got our wish of a proper snowy wild camp. Here's to many more 👍👍👍
Cheers Scott , great to finally get a bit of the white stuff . Hopefully we'll get one or two more in this season .
Thank you for taking us along!
Thanks for watching ! ATb . Austin + Lucy
Raymond Hollingsworthjj.
Love your videos. Keep them going. Happy New Year!
Thanks Dawn . Happy Christmas and have a great New Years! Cheers. Austin and Lucy.
Hats off to Lucy for carrying that big bag 👍
Thanks , she’s a tough cookie my wife 👍
Great job guys! cant beat the drug that is the love of the outdoors! :) x
Thank you . It is like a drug , highly addictive , you'll drive miles to get a fix and it empties your bank account lol.
I'll check it out 👍Cheers!
I hope your dog stayed warm enough.
He was toasty , that pink coat is a really well insulated and waterproof summit jacket and he even has his own Thermarest Neo Air lol. ATb. Austin and Lucy.
Oh wow. You are a brave lot. That looks like a cold night.
Thank you , it was a bit chilly but still great . Atb . Austin + Lucy .
now that's a proper winter camp and a sensible tent to do it in..Quasars arrre solid.
Thank you . It’s a brilliant tent the Quasar, always reliable 👍. Cheers . Austin and Lucy.
Star of this video was definitely that gorgeous pooch.... so cute and funny
Thank you . We’re just there to make up the numbers lol. Cheers. Austin and Lucy.
It never gets that cold inside my room at the Hilton.
😂👍
I love how dogs get all worked up. "Oh, we're going to slog through mud, snow, ice and freezing rain? Great!"
I know , it seems the worse the weather is the happier Marley is !
Cheers . Atb . Austin.
Hi - Great Video! How often do you get snow like that in the winter?
Thank you, we live in the South so we hardly ever get snow but it’s much more common further north and in the hills and mountains. The highlands of Scotland are stunning in winter but conditions can be harsh to say the least 🥶.
@@2FeetForward thanks I live in the south of England and rarely see snow. Just wondered how often the peaks of the beacons and north wales get snow.
Could you be ok with ice grippers or do you reckon you always need crampons and axe?
that was epic glad you all got down safely trainers going up there definitely a no no. thanks for sharing ATB MAC.
Cheers Mac , It does make you wonder sometimes . Atb . Austin.
Where are you that there are no trees? Is Marley a border collie?
I have just found your channel and I have subscribed. I love your video. I like your tent, what make and model is that. Thank you in advance.
Thank you 👍. It’s an original 90’s Wild Country Quasar , before they formed Terra Nova . The modern Quasar is basically the same just lighter but just as bombproof 👍. Cheers . Austin and Lucy.
Your dog seems to be loving it
He’s in his element in these conditions 👍. Cheers .austin and Lucy.
What a cracking video. Camping in that . I take my Gortex hat off to you both
Cheers . It was a brilliant night.
This looks brutal. I can't believe the SAS do their selection here. No wonder so many fail 😲
The ones that pass must be made of iron ! Atb. A+L.
What an adventure. Well done. Loved the filming.
Thank you very much 👍
A chilly one! Nice work, guys.
Thank you 👍 . Atb . Austin and Lucy.
Hi mate great video what is the make and model of your tent thanks Gary.
Cheers Garry . The tent is an original Quasar by Wild Country before they were Terra Nova . It's a bit heavier than the current ones but still going strong for 20+ year old tent . Atb . Austin.
What kind of tent did you use? Looks like you had a great time! Your dog was having a blast too! Take care, aloha!
Cheers . It makes you wonder when you see how under dressed some people are , he must have froze at the top . Atb . Austin + Lucy .
Do you have a link for that £15 stove or some details please. Enjoying your vlogs.
How did the dog keep warm?
You can buy snow boots for dogs.
We have tried them thanks Peter. Marley chewed one off before we made it up the first hill and lost another! They were good ones at over £100 a set 🙄. Cheers. Austin and Lucy.
3:30 "Fanny Big" were wetting ourselves ... such a polite child you have raised 😂
lol
Karl Wood
It's spelt fan y big but the pronounciation is much funnier 😂, you normally such a good polite son x
Would love you and Shannon to camp with us one day x x
How much is 15 quid to American dollars
Around 20 dollars 👍
Thank you brother
I am a new subscriber from America....love your vids and truly LOVE Marley!!!❤❤❤🍀🍀🍀
Thank you very much! 👍 Cheers . Austin and Lucy.
What kind of camera did you use? Looks like a great trip. Glad you had a good time. Aloha!
Aloha from England! Thanks . The camera was a GoPro hero 4 black which until recently was all I used but I’ve just got a Sony Fdr x3000 action camera which is even better I think . Cheers . Austin
What is the music that plays in the background?
It's a bit creepy and nice
Hi , it's called "Should Love You" by Sebastian Davidson. Cheers . Austin and Lucy.
Love this video man, much love from Texas, United States
Thanks Patrick . We love it when we get views from across the pond! Cheers .Austin and Lucy.
What part of that experience was enjoyable? Looks like a lot of effort to just be miserable.
Well it sounds like you know all about that. Hope your day gets better.
Can you imagine what Capt Scott and co went through in Antarctica.
It beggars belief what those old explorers did . We often think that with all our modern gear and luxuries .
Marley is the highlight of these stories
Yep, He always steals the limelight lol. Cheers . A+L.
Hi Andrea
If your ever in the uk we would love to go camping with you
Lucy
good dog he brilliant. Not a million miles from me . unbelievable so different 🖒fair play to you people 🎖
Thank you , Marley's a once in a lifetime dog for sure : ) Atb . Austin + Lucy
bravo et aussi pour avoir prit soin de votre chien avec un bon manteau
Merci. Il a plus de manteaux que nous!
Best winter video ever
Thank you Michael , it was a great camp , I reckon our latest trip gives this one a run for its money though. Cheers and ATb . Austin and Lucy.
Are they here kobe?
I have no clue lol I am a bit slow though 🙄. Cheers. Austin and Lucy.
True to life and brilliant .
Thank you 👍.
One thing I've seen a lot of these videos on UA-cam it's dogs love to knock over cameras they like to ham it up in front of the camera
Oddly this came through as spam for some reason 🙄. I’m sure they do it on purpose to steal the limelight lol . Cheers. A+L.
Bloody mental lol ...thanks for sharing guys
Agreed ! Lol . Thanks for watching . ATb Austin.
Brilliant Austin :) Harsh !!!
May I please ask what make / model your goggles are ?
ATB Alan
Hi Alan , it was a good one this . My goggles are Oneil but i can't remember the model name . They're a few years old now though so probably discontinued but i'm sure they'll have an updated equivalent . Cheers. Atb .Austin.
Thanks Austin :)
I'm just love the vid. U are Thru-Hiker. Crack on 👍. Tks for sharing
Thanks Carlos . Thanks for watching again : )
Sounded like it was a 3 dog night and you only brought the 1. :P
😂
Love from India
Thank you 👍
I guess it was a good video, to bad I could not hear a word for most of the video!
Probably better that way lol .
