I would do pretty much anything for a tent like this. Been looking at Hillebergs but haven’t bought because of condensation reviews. This looks like it’s the one!! Absolute quality.
I've been gradually adding to my tent collection over the years & had decided to stop buying more. After seeing several UA-cam videos, including this one, I couldn't resist getting this tent. Just preordered it with a footprint from Valley & Peak in the UK. Really looking forward to some adventures in it 👍 ⛺️ ⛰️🌲🚶♂️
I know you built this for Northern Europe conditions, but I'm not sure if you realize how great of a worldwide sea kayaking tent this is. Ideal for setting up on bare rock, pointing it into the wind and just falling asleep with no worries. It would also appeal to the USA market for windy areas. However, for both sea kayaking and USA (or any lower latitudes) it would be best with a 20D fly (tripled silicone Nylon 66) and a 30 to 40D floor. If you build that, everyone living below 50 degrees North would consider this tent, as the weight starts to line up with the challenges the tent would meet. As it stands now, for what I just described, it's too heavy. You can already see people asking if it could be lighter. Keep it larger that the far too tiny Suolo and just use less robust materials. Honestly, a 30D floor that's protected by a 1.5mil polycryo groundsheet is the absolute sweet spot.
Very interesting tent. Would love to see more details on their website. For instance, the inner dimensions. And perhaps more detailed photos of the vents, the pegs, the nice guy line toggles. There is plenty that's not shown in detail. I wouldn't be surprised to see this tent A LOT in UA-cam video. Especially for (possible) bad weather hikes and winter hikes.
Looks a nice tent, I use Vango tents here in Northern Finland. It would take a lot to make me change brands! I do modify my tents with double poles/stronger poles and other methods. Lately got a new Airbeam model so no broken poles but your tents look very strong.
A great pole structure and so many practical features. The double door so great for wild camping and venting great for still nights. Do you had any plans to make a smaller, lighter version? Say 210-220 cm long and an inner max width of 100cm in the middle tapering to 60 cm at the ends? Could this make something around 2000g ?
Hello an good morning. Has the tent being wind tested?? If it has could you make this available please 👍. I live in Pembrokeshire Wales, were are weather is changing.. Eg storm force winds. So on the hills, sometimes hard to get a good tent. Thanks for any feedback.
Hello. We develop and test our tents based on real world use. Vern has been thorough used and tested through 4 seasons with gusts up to 30 m/s.(violent storm). Hope this helps.
Hİ i see ther are so much similarity between hilleberg and nortent for example way of attach pols and material used for hooks and other . are there any pantent problem here aor all are normal design in both brand ??
The Nortent Vern 1 (new) is not seam sealed from the factory "The flysheet is 100% waterproof. But like every other quality tent with this type of fabric the seams will increase their waterproofness and strength if to be lubricated with a mix of silicone. You may choose not to do this as the seams are already very waterproof when you receive the tent from us But hey. Why not..."
Hi. Pack size is about 40x18x18 cm. But keep in mind that we intentially made the bag big in such a way that you easily would be able to pack the tent into the bag. You can compress it even further.
@@NORTENT I don't own this tent - not me personally, we just tested on a river side and in the morning there was a lot of condensation inside (unfortunately I can't do more testing)
@@MoosebearAdventures It is always very humid alongside riverbanks. Especially at night. A tip is to move the camp a bit away from the river to awoid condensation during nighttime especially if there is no wind to circulate the air. Everything condensate here. Even the rocks on the ground. :-). Here is a link from our site that perhaps can be of help in regards to condensation in general. nortent.com/blog/polycotton-magic-wand
Any tent can get hammered by condensation, its the weather conditions/ the ground your on that dictates condensation. Its so annoying when some one makes a comment about condensation in a tent yet is ignorant to these facts. no offence meant btw

Thank you for this. Very interesting reading. We will for sure look into it.. thanks again.
Превосходные мысли! Полностью согласен. Надеюсь к вам прислушаются.
Looks excellent, can see this tent working really well in the UK!

love the innovation! ive got the old version of this tent! and i kinda want to try this one out! would love to compare them side by side
It looks tremendous NORTENT , look forward to seeing one for real
Looks like some nice design features with the doors but as it's very similar the storm star I'll stick with that
looks like a tank of a tent 👌
Man, those pegs aren't coming out in a hurry.
Did you finally seam seal the tent yourself? That was a big gripe with the previous tents.

Looks very interesting.

@@NORTENT thank you for your feedback. Hope next year to get one. Then take it out on the hills in Wales. 👍

How does the double pole work? What clips would you use for the extra poles?
You use every second clip. The sleeve at the bottom is spacious enough for two poles.
Will it need to be seam sealed? Thanks

Hi there, where can I get this from a EU retailer? Tent looks super solid!
Right now, you may get it directly from nortent.com. Listed price includes all taxes and tolls to your country. :-)
What is the maximum user height? I'm 209cm, could I fit a 220cm sleeping pad inside without touching the inner?
Well, the tent is 260cm long, on their website you can see a CAD model with a person with a 180cm pad inside if that helps.
The original Nortent Vern 1 is 324cm long and on the website it shows a CAD file with a person on a 197cm long pad.

Sub 40mph winds and the poles snap. Definitely not a 4 season tent.
I never use an one-layer tent. Never. Crazy in the cold. Condensation is terrible.
Are the two layers sewn together? How to imagine?
@@ElekZoliSopronI’ll be amazed if the inner and outer aren’t clipped together. You’ll be able to separate them for drying, etc.
This tent has so much condensation it's almost unusable,
We always welcome constructive feedbacks. Could you please elaborate how you came to this conclusion in such a way that we perhaps can help you out?
