Experienced mom here (all of mine are adults)...a couple of mine decided to potty train late (later than Sadie), and it didn't affect their development at all. Didn't stop them from graduating from college or anything like that. Don't let the haters pull you down, you're doing a great job with Sadie!
I don't think they were being haters. They were curious. And we're asking a question just like everyone else I guess is wondering. Sadie is a very intelligent sweet little girl. I'm shocked she hasn't already potty trained. My kids couldn't stand a pee diaper or a poopy diaper. So they were out of diapers early.

She has no interest in potty training and adamantly refuses. Sometimes there is an emotional attachment and security to diapers. Every child and families journey with using the potty looks different.

And yes she is very intelligent she has parents that teaches her well. And takes time with her. And also I was saying that I didn't think the other person meant any harm by the comment they left. Parents do have to be parents. Everything about child rearing requires leadership, and everything is not "child driven" for whenever the child decides. Sadie is three and should be lead in the direction of being toilet trained. Sadie does not seem to be asked to spend the time to dedicate going to the bathroom instead of soiling a diaper. Toilet training will not harm her or take away her autonomy. It does not reqire bribery. It just requires effort and persistance, and dedication to a goal without shame or blame. She will soon start feeling embarrassed when she is in social situations where other children are independant of diapers. She could be going with Kaley everytime and offered the "potty" when her mom is going.This is a reasonable expectation for a child of 3 years unless they have a special needs profile. Because of their lifestyle, they could follow the indigenous native people and millions of people in Asian and African countries that simply take the diapers off and the child goes bare under their clothes or wears regular underwear. They do it at very, very young ages too. The child learns when they are going to soil themselves. They don't like feeling wet or having poo on them and they learn where to go. Voila', potty trained quickly.
We think you guys are the best. Were in our 70's and think your doing a fantastic job, building your dream, raising Sadie and living your life. May God continue to bless you!
As Panamanian, I recommend: 1. Fiber cement siding for exterior perimeter. 2. aluminum standing seam roof (include OSB base board). 3. Water repelent paint finish for fibercement siding. 4. Include marine fiber insulation for perimeter partitions. 5. For exterior CMU walls, use STO plaster system for finish. 6. Curtain walls with isulated double glazing (minimum). Use a 3M screen for UV and thermal additional protection. 7. Anti slip finish for exterior floors. 8. Open stormwater channels.

I appreciated your comment about hiring more locals rather than paying for expensive equipment. When I was building in Nicaragua, we hired 5 guys to mix the concrete for the large pours, rather than rent a cement mixer for about the same price!

I think you know Trent and Ally. They discovered that the railings on the deck need to be vertical because horizontal railings become a ladder for small children to climb.

At first I was confused when I saw the concept work for the house. Then I heard the words of the kitchen looking quite different from the concept pieces. With the extensive weather bouts you have there I can see why the larger open spaces and can see how finishes in sections of the house will be quite different.... and on and on. I'm sure it will all be quite amazing and in line with your philosophy. As to potty training. Sadie seems well on the way of potty training herself when she just decides to do so. As I watch my core UA-cam channels who have largely also brought forth children... They all seem to be quire brilliant. They have amazing curiosity and insight showing wonderful intellectual growth from their environment. So Wonderful indeed!!!!!!!!!

Did you have a bunch of animals, 2 businesses, traveling often, building nonstop and wants to party for awhile? And they'll miss months going back to usa for labor.

So, we had a similar situation with outside space. Our first rental in Motul did not have Outside covered space and we did put a bunch more than we needed. So Nice!! Enjoy!!

Cool plans. We bought 16 acres in the mountains of TN. We built our own tiny house and 3 years later we are still doing finishing work inside. But we love it. You always run into challenges but building your home is so satisfying. You can really make it your own. Congrats! And enjoy the process.

I started watching you guys when you moved the van onto the property. I spent time in Panama and Honduras when I was in the military and fell in love with it. I really hope to get back there some day. It has been a great journey watching you guys and seeing everything you have accomplished. You've come a long way with your building skills, that's for sure! I just retired a year ago. My plan for years was to relocate to another country. I have never been to another country in my life. I have only been to central and South America. In my late teens, early 20’s. I am traveling abroad in the spring and cannot wait! I will be 62 in a little over 5 months my 1st trip to, hopefully, the country i want to go too. I’m so excited! I am doing my visa paperwork at the end of the week. Retiring with 2 pensions, both in LE, then my SS. I have been with you from the beginning, I loved when y’all hooked up with Trent and Alley. Good times. ❤️ And have loved every single video. I can’t wait to watch the build! Sadie is fine. She will do the potty training when she is ready. 💕 nothing wrong with that at all. My older sister didn’t stop until she got pretty panties and didn’t want to dirty them. All children are different and all children should have parents like you. You always put her needs first. PLEASE get some activated charcoal to have on hand for your fur babies just in case, God forbid, you guys ever run into another situation where your animals get into something toxic or harmful to them. You can mix the charcoal in with some milk and have them drink it and it will help absorb some of the toxins and force it out by making them throw it up, reducing the amount that gets into their system and the damaging effects as well as giving you more time to get to the vet.
I know you both are the most level headed people I know. Also I know is that you will bring up your Children to be the same. To Love their fellow humans and take care of all animals and to treat this earth with the respect it deserves. May be go into the Coffee movement too. The house plans are Absolutely Amazing and will make your land more amazing. Watching your JOURNEY from Australia. I also bought one of your teas last year and it was Delicious. I was going to suggest plexiglass or glass instead of the cable railing. No climbing and toys won’t be easily rolling off the cat walk.

At first I was confused when I saw the concept work for the house. Then I heard the words of the kitchen looking quite different from the concept pieces. With the extensive weather bouts you have there I can see why the larger open spaces and can see how finishes in sections of the house will be quite different.... and on and on. I'm sure it will all be quite amazing and in line with your philosophy. As to potty training. Sadie seems well on the way of potty training herself when she just decides to do so.
As I watch my core UA-cam channels who have largely also brought forth children... They all seem to be quire brilliant. They have amazing curiosity and insight showing wonderful intellectual growth from their environment. So Wonderful indeed!!!!!!!!!

Did you have a bunch of animals, 2 businesses, traveling often, building nonstop and wants to party for awhile? And they'll miss months going back to usa for labor.

So, we had a similar situation with outside space. Our first rental in Motul did not have Outside covered space and we did put a bunch more than we needed. So Nice!! Enjoy!!

Cool plans. We bought 16 acres in the mountains of TN. We built our own tiny house and 3 years later we are still doing finishing work inside. But we love it. You always run into challenges but building your home is so satisfying. You can really make it your own. Congrats! And enjoy the process.

I started watching you guys when you moved the van onto the property. I spent time in Panama and Honduras when I was in the military and fell in love with it. I really hope to get back there some day. It has been a great journey watching you guys and seeing everything you have accomplished. You've come a long way with your building skills, that's for sure! I just retired a year ago. My plan for years was to relocate to another country. I have never been to another country in my life. I have only been to central and South America. In my late teens, early 20’s. I am traveling abroad in the spring and cannot wait! I will be 62 in a little over 5 months my 1st trip to, hopefully, the country i want to go too. I’m so excited! I am doing my visa paperwork at the end of the week. Retiring with 2 pensions, both in LE, then my SS. I have been with you from the beginning, I loved when y’all hooked up with Trent and Alley. Good times. ❤️ And have loved every single video. I can’t wait to watch the build! Sadie is fine. She will do the potty training when she is ready. 💕 nothing wrong with that at all. My older sister didn’t stop until she got pretty panties and didn’t want to dirty them. All children are different and all children should have parents like you. You always put her needs first. PLEASE get some activated charcoal to have on hand for your fur babies just in case, God forbid, you guys ever run into another situation where your animals get into something toxic or harmful to them. You can mix the charcoal in with some milk and have them drink it and it will help absorb some of the toxins and force it out by making them throw it up, reducing the amount that gets into their system and the damaging effects as well as giving you more time to get to the vet.
I do this and we have saved several pups this way!!!!!

I know you both are the most level headed people I know. Also I know is that you will bring up your Children to be the same. To Love their fellow humans and take care of all animals and to treat this earth with the respect it deserves. May be go into the Coffee movement too.
