Thank you for all your tips. This will truly help all new Pinoy nurses coming to work here in the US. There is a lot of learning and adjusting for nurses from the Philippines. The practice of nursing there is so different from here. You are expected to be a clinician here and not just someone “carrying out” orders. You are not a “secretary” doing a lot of charting, you are lexpected to actually take care of your patient (as in “hands on the patient”). You will do all the patient care here. There is no family at the bedside doing the cleaning up and feeding the patient. The nurse techs will help but mostly they will not do anything unless the nurse asks them to do so. In other words, you do the nurses’ job and you are expected to do the doctors’ job of assessing the patient and also the NT’s job too.😅
Totally agree to this comment... we have more authority and responsibility here despite having lesser number of patients. 😁 and ur wc.. glad to help our fellow kababayans...
Thank you for replying to my comment. You are inspiring our nurses back home to continue to work hard and dream big dreams. Reminding our nurses that yes, you are in nursing to enable a better future for your family but money alone will not motivate you to do the hard work forebear. The burnout is real.😔 So take care of yourselves foremost.

Study tips. Is 3 month period enough?. Im a nurse in Philippines, scheduled for nclex feb 2023,in denver. Thank youu sir.
Time frame really depends on your study habit and how u abosrb the info... but most likely, 3 monts is enough. Make sure to start answering 10-50 questions a day starting now... that will help a lot... >also, make sure to process everything before u leave in preparation for ur nclex. Leave a blank authorization letters tk ur family just in case u need additional documents.
Thank you for sharing this sir. I remember during my interview i was asked about documentation in the Philippines and how it is done. And i answered its the tradional way (paper-based) and they were amused. I think it will be a huge adjustment for me when i get there. Atleast through your vlogs, i’ll be familiarized with the setup. More of these pls! Thank you! 😊
It definitely will be an adjustment... things that are embedded in our nursing veins, sometimes must be tucked in until we understand the US style.... itago muna ung mga nakasanayang Nursing PH claws.. 🤣

Sir ask ko po kung sa facility niyo may cutoff ang pag admit ng new patients before endorsement? Like if pag 7pm ang out niyo, pwede ba i-hold ang admission after 6PM? Then iaadmit yun after endorsement? Kasi po like dito sa Pinas, diba aagahan mo po kaso maadmitan ka naman agad. Halos hindi mo rin po nareview yung patient assignment mo kasi nag admit kana.. Baka po may better policy jan sa inyo.. hehe
