Very impressed with York the shambles Street what a place was good for Harry Potter lovely Christmas Market food heaven but York is also famous for its railway museum thank you for taking us there

Thanks guys! Apologies for the length of time it's taken to reply. Have mostly kept things switched off over Christmas.
York should be on your list, as I'm sure it is, just don't cruise there in winter because it floods. You should be able to get all the way to Ripon in GG, but keep an eye on the Ouse from Selby it has quite the flow! ❤️❤️
Went to York in November and never get bored with it . . . it’s an amazing place to visit. Thank you so much Tony and Jan for all you do to entertain us. Absolutely love the channel and sharing your adventures with you. Looking forward to seeing you in the new year. Have a lovely Christmas!!.

York is on our "bucket list", we are going to Whitby in the Summer (and definitely going to York this time been several times but sadly I think this will be our last visit as we are now mid 70s although fit and healthy) .We haven't yet made it to York and there is just soooo much to see and do. I would love to go at Christmas , but then again I would spend a fortune on the nik naks. I love your snowman Jan - he's gorgeous. Looks amazing Happy New Year to you both
Thankfully most of central York is an easy walk and you can see everything without having to go too far. I mean, if I can do it anyone can Liz 😁
PS don't forget you've got to eat fish and chips in Whitby, it's compulsory!!

Hi Tony and jan lovely video, I was a bit confused while you wouldn't take your boat on the river ouse it a lovely river up to ripon Yorkshire has some of the best canal and river on the network please don't be scared to try the rivers in Yorkshire ie ripon pollockton canal it beautiful kind regards
Our plan was indeed to stay in York over Christmas, mooring was booked, but the Ouse was in flood when we got to Selby (you'll see it in a future vlog) and both locks - Selby and Naburn were closed.
@MakingNewMemories could of went to ripon you can do it a day from York it beautiful there been there three times we were order of the ouse when it was in flood the last time
