I inherited my father's gun collection. Most have sat in a safe for 2 decades. I kept out a pistol and a rifle, and only because we have had bears on the property. Had a huge brown bear on my porch last week.
I suppose you can never be too certain about how bears are going to react, I know some species are known to attack humans. Interesting how the perception is that bears are cute and cuddly. Take care 👍
All them wasted moorings they don't want us boaters in leeds for some reason! They shut down the sanitary station not because its broken as they say! They locked it up AFTER fixing a blockage! This is the same sanitary station they spent £100,000 on renovation a couple of years ago...
I think the company that owns the dock are missing a trick (and potential income) by not opening the top part for visitor moorings. As for the CSF, we're seeing closures across the network yet fees increasing...😡
Thank you for such a pleasant and enjoyable video. However, at 7min.30, you mention religious buildings at the confluence of the rivers Aire and Wharfe. I'm afraid to tell you that there is no confluence of the Aire and Wharfe, the Wharfe is 8 miles north of Leeds and flows east to enter the Ouse upstream of Selby and the Aire follows a more southerly path to join the Ouse near Goole. The only significant religious building is Kirkstall Abbey, about 2 miles upstream of Leeds, built by the Cistercians in the 12th century, on the north bank of the river. The only significant tributary of the Aire is the River Worth, way upstream at Keighley. I do hope you find this informative, it is not my intention to be annoying. Regards.

The historic origins of the area now known as Leeds can be traced back to the 6th century with a religious settlement (long before Kirkstall Abbey which was established in 1152) This was a celtic tribe known as the Brigantes and back then the course of both rivers was significantly different to that of more modern times. Streams and fords crossed in many areas back in those days.
Funny enough, under normal circumstances neither are we, but as we were visiting the "Amouries" museum there was a chance we'd see some alongside other weapons. The ones we featured in a short section in the vlog that were 'gifted' were interesting due to their design and detail. Have a nice Sunday 👍
