I have so many of your videos to catch up on, so I’m very late in welcoming Petunia to your family! She’s so gorgeous, and I don’t think I’ve ever seen another dog so immediately integrate so seamlessly into a family as she has (just from the video, of course). It breaks my heart to see her previous pictures, and bless the rescue and foster who started her on the road to health and her forever home. Our sweet little rescue miniature schnauzer that we adopted along with her brother in 2021 passed away nearly two weeks ago, and I miss her so much. They were 12+ when they came to us after their owner went into a nursing home, and he had diabetes with cataracts. He died last year, so our house is feeling pretty empty. I love all your decorations. You make the seasons so fun!
The thing I love most about your videos besides your brilliant decorating talents, warm and welcoming home, sweet dogs, is your family interaction. I think it is so precious to see how you have your son involved and he is so darn cute and enthusiastic about everything. I laughed out loud when he hugged the spider. You and your family are such good role models in the way you show family and love. Many blessings to you. And thank you for informing us about the people impacted by the hurricane. Sending help and hope to them. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
My heart is with you and those who are experiencing the losses from hurricane Helene. You are so caring and devoted, not just toward your family, your puppies, but to so many others.
I love your sweet new puppy! Thanks for mentioning WNC. I live in Asheville and although our home made it through with minimal damage, our hearts break for our community. The damage is so extensive and the loss of life is still climbing. Most of us got electricity back in the last few days, but water will take much longer...perhaps months. Being able to watch a video of your beautiful home and sweet, caring heart gives us home. Blessings, Dawn
My heart is heavy too. We live in N ga, a mile from the NC border. The eye came over us, but somehow our tiny little town was spared. The damage around us though is devastating. We’re doing what we can to help, but it’s going to take a while for there to be any kind of normalcy for those affected. Glad you and your family are ok.
how beautiful just my vibe. I've been concerned about you b/c I knew you lived in north carolina, but I wasn't sure where. I'm so glad you guys are safe.
we're about 4 hours east... thankfully, everyone we personally know who lives there is safe (not the case for so many) but such a long long road to recovery for that area 💔
Yes, the devastation to the west of you is horrific. I’ve been watching one local specifically who has been posting videos of the destruction and it’s hard to comprehend. Thank you for the link. Petunia is lucky to have you adopt her! I hope she thrives with your family. And it’s nice that she and Pearl get along. As usual, great content and the front porch looks lovely! 🤗
Petunia looks like a great addition to the family. I love how you did the bats. Great idea. I love the fox face ones they gave in Australia. You have lots of great decorations.
I love how accessible your style is. That you give confidence to those of us with no “official” design credentials, that you rehabilitate furniture and broken-hearted dogs, and that you share your concern for those who didn’t fare as well in Helene. From 🇨🇦.
I'm such a fan Shelby. It's lovely to see how you've settled into your new home and become more comfortable with filming. Your increased confidence is lovely and enjoyable to watch. I've been a fan since your New York days, and so look forward to seeing your new content. You have a wonderful Family. Thank you.
I love how you include your cute son in your decorating process 😍 I also couldn't help but notice Macenna's candle in your space... am I mistaken? I love this! ❤
Petunia is a doll….. you have done such a great job with your home. I love it …… you have a great life darling ……all the hurricanes 🌀 have been devastating
Gosh, Brooks was so adorable holding the pumpkins coming down the steps barefooted! So sweet. I live on the coast in NC. Thank you for mentioning our brothers and sisters in the mountain areas who were affected by Helene and for your efforts to raise money and awareness. I enjoy your laid back style of creating videos. Your home is beautiful and it's fun to watch the decorating process.
So good that you give so much love to this black princess❤❤The house is stunning,i cant wait for the holiday season !!!This is a cosy, elegant , welcome home❤❤❤
Could you do a video on your house hunting process? Im interested in what particular qualities of the build, or neighborhood assets, you were looking for upon moving 😁
I live in Asheville and Helene has really done a number on Western North Carolina. Since we lost power, water, and WIFI, it's an eye opener when you see the damage around us. I just got hooked back up to the Internet over the weekend and it makes me so sad to see the extensive damage and loss a lot of people have. It's nice of you to think of us :) Side Note: I am so glad that Petunia has found her human family-and her canine sister. ❤
Aww both your pups are so sweet! Thank you for reminding everyone about the people out in Appalachia areas. They are truly being forgotten by this administration 😢. Thank you for your kind heart.
What a beautiful rescue dog and not to forget Pearl. You and your family are truly blessed❤. I enjoy your videos. Oh, the pumpkins on the roof are amazing!
Shelby, As many others have expressed - thank you for mentioning rescue adoption, and for opening your heart & home to Petunia. There are sadly sooo many pups out there in desperate need of a loving home. The large dogs, poor things, have the toughest time finding their forever families.
Thank you for rescuing and adopting Tuna ❤ Your home is so beautiful! Looking forward to part 2 of your Fall decor video 🍁 Sending healing prayers to North Carolina 🙏
So happy Petunia found your family!! She is going to have such a great life with all of you!! Love the decorating! The skeletons made me laugh!! Love fall and Halloween!!
Love your new pup! Your porch looks beautiful! Thank you for sharing your ideas. I'm just down the road from you....hope you three will get to the NC State Fair. Could be the start of a great tradition for your son.
So glad you're ok. I have also been gutted by the destruction of beautiful N.C. Biltmore Village holds a special place in my heart, but all of the region and people are wonderful. Thanks for posting the Amazon wishlist. Blessings on your head, too, for adopting Petunia.
Yes, mother nature has been cruel these last few weeks and I feel terrible for all the folks affected. I sure hope we are done with storms this season. Healing and restoration is something that will take years. I love Petunia! She looks like a sweet girl and I love that her ears were never clipped to stand upright. Brooks is getting so big and I laughed when he kissed the spider. I am definitely not a spider lover, even fake ones. LOL Those dried hydrangea flowers are stunning and the biggest I've ever seen. Everything looks fantastic!!!
Thank you for mentioning our Mountains. I have a lot of friends and Family that were affected by Helene. We are an hour and 20 minutes from the hardest hit areas and were just there the middle of September visiting Apple Orchards. Some of our favorite restaurants and shops were wiped out. It’s devastating and heart wrenching.
We left Asheville on September 25th to come back to Florida to secure our home before Helene hit... we almost stayed there to avoid it honestly. Such devastation. We love Asheville and NC so much, we visit every year and dream of moving there. I can't begin to express how much my heart breaks for everyone affected. We just weathered a direct hit from Hurricane Milton and I want to smack people when they're complaining about minimal damage or no power because so many in NC and surrounding areas have it so much worse. I hope your friends and family are on the road to recovery
Petunia and Pearl are quite the pair. I love your pumpkins and foliage. Helene hit and about two weeks later, Milton. I am sure you donations will be most welcome. ❤
I have family in South Carolina that was affected by the storm. Their roofs are covered from falling trees. Now waiting for roof repair and trees to be chopped down. Our nephew is doing recover work in North Carolina at this time. Praying for all who have suffered!
Oh Petunia seems so sweet and caring! Love your fall and Halloween decor and I love seeing Brooks help decorate and enjoy it too. I’m afraid of heights so no pumpkins on my roof. 😂 It truly is so heartbreaking what so many of our Floridians, N. Carolina, S. Carolina, TN, KY, and Georgia are going thru from these massive and destructive storms. Praying and looking for ways to help. ❤🙏
Hello Shelby, You have such exquisite taste. Each time I see your home, it just makes want to run around my home, and try to do some of what you have done. Mind you, mine is half the size of yours, but a girl can dream. Right? :) The devastation from both recent hurricanes is heartbreaking. Thank you for posting ways to help. I look forward to part 2. In the meantime, take care.❤
Hello there I had a bad week last week there's a lot of stuff going on in my life and it's all been nothing but world win of emotions Life is hard sometimes you know so please pray for me in the comments below 😭😭😭😭 thank you 🙏
Thank you for talking about the hurricane…I feel like the news just dropped the ball on it. I live in the upstate of SC and we were hit bad too. Not as bad as NC. Love all of your videos!
Congrats on Tunia!Brookes is getting so grown up! Can you have chickens in your area? Decorations look great! I am glad you are all safe… I was a bit concerned w/ Helene! I have donated & I am Praying. I donated thru Tim Kennedy @ Save our Allies & it all goes to the victims. He was boots on the ground! Love your haul from antique shopping! You definitely have a real calm vibe since moving & I think it agrees w/ you! Your home is looking beautiful Your mums are my favorite color too🙏🙏🙏Blessing’s from N NJ
Thank you so much!! Yes, we can have chickens, although no one has any near us. Petunias foster family had some poultry. And yes, we were all good with Helene, thank goodness!

Aww my thoughts are with you guys!! I had a friend come by this weekend and she mentioned the water not being back for a while.
Thank you for adopting this precious angel
Brooks is absolutely the best helper! Pearl and “Tuna” are so precious, we only get rescue pups, thanks for giving that big girl a loving home!
My heart is heavy too. We live in N ga, a mile from the NC border. The eye came over us, but somehow our tiny little town was spared. The damage around us though is devastating. Thank you for watching and your kind words!
I had several grande danois when me and my brother were Younger, all caramel colour.missing them só much, were all female dogs.
Be mindful with dried florals that if they are in direct sunlight they will lose their color. I learned this the hardway with a dried floral wreath.
Thank you for the tip!!
HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY! LOVE THE DECOR
Thank you!!
Love this vlog! Can you show us more content from the antiques fairs?
Yes!! I have some content on what we got and I’ll try to put it together!
I had a Tunie/Petunia. She was a little smaller. She was a Tortoise shell cat.
Looks like you guys escaped the storm 🙏🥰❤️
Thankfully we did!
