please do a full house tour/ walkthrough, this house reminds me of father of the bride, its like a Nancy Meyer dreammmm !!! I'd love to see the layout! you're a wonderful homemaker, I feel so welcomed and I haven't even been there haha! this is one of my fav houses I've ever seen, and Ive been watching house tours everyday for the past couple years 😅🥰
First of all, Petunia hogging the camera is the cutest thing I’ve seen today! And secondly, when you said to vote, I had my heart set on the floral curtains which I’ve always loved on your window but when you put up the gingham…wow! What a transformation! Your kitchen went from vintagey moody spring to cozy fall/winter! Love both for the different seasons!
When we moved to our neighborhood 30 years ago, I hosted a cookie exchange a couple weeks before Christmas. It was so fun and everyone got to go home with new or renewed friendships as well as a tray of assorted delicious cookies.
The wreath you made is beautiful! Cool that TJ can sew now. Love that your neighbor’s are all decorating too! The gingham for all are perfect 🙏🙏🙏Blessing’s
I'm excited to experience trick-or-treating and everything here for the first time! The neighbors keep telling us they used to all create haunted driveways and get 250 trick-or-treaters but that was probably 20 yrs ago so we'll see what this yr is like
@@PrettyinthePines So nice. In Glen Ridge NJ where I raised my daughter we had like 800 tricker treaters. This was 20 yrs ago but my town was very small & kids came from all over. I had 2 huge labs so I sat on my porch giving out treats. The barking at the bell was too much. Have 🤩 fun
Wow! Go TJ! I love the gingham for Fall and Christmas, but I also like the floral for summer. Things are really shaping up at your home! Looking great! I love your wreath! Happy Fall! I don't know if you all attend a church, but that's a great way to make friends.
You added your magic 🪄 touch to the wreath on your front door 🧡 it is magnificent 🧡 your front porch is absolutely beautiful 🧡🌿🍂🍁🍃 You will have no trouble making friends because you are an amazing friend 🧡 Enjoy your weekend and your family 🧡
Oh ! Les petits rideaux vichy sont à leur place 👍🏻 et pour Noël, tu pourrais nouer un joli noeud de ruban de fête ! Superbe installation de citrouilles et potiron 🎃 !!! À bientôt ! 🌸🌸🌸
I have a great tip for meeting new people. When TJ is in preschool, he may be already, you’ll meet moms there as you volunteer for various activities, and as he gets older. (I know parents aren’t allowed in class rooms as in my day, but there are lots of opportunities) One of the moms suggested we start a cooking club. Initially there were 16 of us - really too many, but fun. Many folks dropped out over the years, and new friends were added, but to this day, 31 years later, some of them are my best friends. If you ever want to know how we set it up, I’d be happy to share. We moms met once a month, and invited the husbands once a year. I’m so thankful for the decision to join and stay in, even during the years that were extremely busy. We still meet, less of course, travel together, and laugh a lot.
When we moved to our neighborhood 30 years ago, I hosted a cookie exchange a couple weeks before Christmas. It was so fun and we all got to meet each other, share the recipes for each cookie, and everyone went home with new or renewed friendships and a tray of delicious cookies.
The gingham curtains are beautiful and right for upcoming seasons. I love the wreath u created the green ribbon set it off beautifully ur a Natural with an Eye for Beauty.
The wreaths look so pretty and the gingham cafe curtains are perfection! Way to go TJ! Moving is hard and it does take time to make new friends. I think a gathering with neighbors and other people you have met would be fun. Give it a try. ❤
I really like your decorating style and the wreaths on the door and mirror are rustic and beautiful. My “ vote” 🙂 is for the red and taupe gingham. It looks warm and cozy. 🥰
Love the gingham for Autumn 🍂 tying the bottom of each curtain the into folds, 💡 leave overnight. When you remove the ties, the curtains will sit beautifully.
Love the wreath at the upper front door and the new curtains in the kitchen are great! I just saw on UA-cam of a group of girls having dinner. The host had a gift for each of them sitting at the table when they arrived. Before starting, each person opened their gift one by one. Each of them had a funny pair of glasses that they had to wear during dinner. The best laughs ever!
When you put the faux leaf wreath on the mirror in your last vlog I felt it looked fine…but then when you put the natural wreath with the GREEN velvet bow…😍! Wow. Love it. How cool is it that your husband made you curtains?! Mine will build me things or help me paint, has even repaired my sewing machine for me, but has never volunteered to sew! Before you know it TJ will be tailoring you the perfect fall blazer! 😁 I have forgotten the Great Dane’s name, but I liked her moment of fame with her close up in this video. 😉
Aww, Petunia is quite photogenic with her soulful eyes and glossy coat! I love your wreaths-they turned out so well. I was really surprised to hear that you didn’t sew. I guess I see you as the woman who can do anything. lol TJ’s curtains look so good. Now you’re going to collect cafe curtains for all the seasons. They are beautiful, but I don’t think I can get them to work for my kitchen.
A man who sews, sign him up! My mother was a seamstress and I did not get the sewing or knitting talent. Nursing ended up being my talent and boy did my parents keep me busy in their elder years. I have a whole dresser full of needles, threads, special cutting scissors, zippers etc... and I have no desire to sew. Anyway, I admire all the creative things you and hubby do in your home. The wreath and curtains look perfect.
Great video. Love all the wreath making, footage of a great fall family outing , and of course, the curtains. Although I like the gingham... the floral is so out of the box and unique that it has my vote. Gingham seems predictable to me. The floral is gorgeous in this beautiful kitchen. And I will take apple crisp any time! Yummmmm
your home is so charming and inspirational! I did purchase the brass flower holder (or whatever you wish to put in it) you have in your kitchen window. I love mine!
When I moved to the Hudson valley from California, my foray into making friends was to host a wreath making party - I invited all the moms I wanted to be friends with. It was a total success and now I’m on year 3 and people talk about the party and look forward to it. Fun fact: my son is also named Brooks :)
It’s so nice to see all your hard work that you’ve done around the house of renovation. I love your decor for fall 🍂 Goodness Brooks is getting so big 😊 M :)
I love your vibe and design ideas it is so country/original. I only started following when ye left your New York apt and I love the progress ye have made so far. I am a big wallpaper fan too. Can I say one thing watching todays video which might have change since then but those lollipop trees on the porch need water or you are going to lose them they are so pretty but are parched!! I would vote for floral cafe curtains personally but I get your Autumn vibe with the checkered ones too.
I think the curtain rod should be higher - where the window pane is. And the clips should be right up against the fabric so there is no space between rod and fabric.🤔
Dear friend, I am a Spanish lady, living by the sea, in the Costa Brava, north of Barcelona. I have followed you, since the first videos you made, three years ago ago, when you started decorating your apartment in New York. I never missed any of your videos, since I have literally fallen in love with your charming decoration. I must say that I look at my decoration videos, but yours are truly, my favourite. One day, you announced that you were moving, and what a surprise, when you said the location was Raleigh!!! You see, my daughter moved also there, five years ago. As I had told her to her about your videos, she had started to follow you as well. Last week, she called me, and gave me a surprise, telling me me she had seen you and your lovely family, in Jaycee Park. She was there with her children, one year old, and five years old!!! She lives nearby. I hope she has the opportunity of seeing you again, and greeting you from her mother. From Spain, I send you all my love.
Oh my gosh what a small world! Thank you for watching my videos and telling your daughter about my channel! If she sees us again please tell her to come say hi!
I have been following you for a couple of years and love everything you create in your home! I was wondering how you mount your wreath to the mirror? I have tried command hooks and they do not stick. Also, I live in Chapel Hill and I would love to be your friend:)
Love the newest curtains. They’ll be great for the Holidays for sure. Are you thinking of selling your blue ones? I’d be interested…. Just so you know ❤❤❤❤ love the wreath and more so all the fall fair coming up this weekend
LOVE all the things! Thank you for being you! I did not catch the name of the lady from Ohio who sells the gorgeous natural wreaths..so hard to find these days...would love the details if you can share them.
I have a tip of sorts for developing friendships. When your son goes to school you will have a lot of opportunities to be on PTA and be room mom and so on. There will be scouts and sports. Putting yourself out there is the first step and I think you will be fine. ❤

Everything is pretty. But Petunia’s camera cameo was the star of this video. 😍🐶

The gingham curtains are perfect. I love them. I can see why it would get you in the mood to bake. Tunia’s cameo was just a bonus. Loved it.👍
I love both curtains and would use them seasonally or for when I'd just want a change in look.
I love the wreath and the brown curtains. But please use the pretty floral in the spring!
I love the gingham curtains. I love that print and I am also drawn to the ticking stripe pattern. Your house is lovely, always!

Sorry, but Petunia is the best part of the video! ❤️❤️
You epitomize the classic Old Raleigh decor and fashion!

I never learned the color name because it was just color matched to the shutters! I think it is similar to Essex Green or Charleston Green.

hi, what would you say your style is called? I absolutely love it and am hoping to “search” for it online for more ideas. TY :)
It’s kind of a mix of a few different styles but it’s all European inspired... English traditional meets modern French country-ish
