The intro, the music, the blip sound inside the spray n go - this brings back memories. It is such a beautiful game with such a unique, dark, melancholic atmosphere. The gta 3 era games will always be the games of my young adulthood and I hope one day people look back at them the way we do now at old Nintendo games. Kind of a shame that video games are all about graphics these days, but neither GTA IV nor V grabbed me as much as GTA 3 through San Andreas. Anyone can do a high poly model and consoles and PCs can handle them nowadays, but using the kind of trickery Rockstar did is an art. Saving on collision files, having characters not move when not visible to cut down on CPU load but have them remain in the scene to keep them in the memory and avoid the spawning effect… I never noticed the casino “interior” before, but it’s a small detail stripped to its bare minimum. It takes up no more than 10 polygons and one texture but it’s awesome they did it and it has an effect that made you wonder back then “how did they do all of this” I never played an ow game that was as exciting to explore (okay, maybe Mafia, but that’s right up there with GTA 3 to me) Thanks for sharing this.
Coming back to it, the motion blur is cray. I never even noticed it back in the day. So i recommend the re-mastered version on xbox over the original ps2. O.G. Xbox with an RGB component cord is basically HD.
Can't believe this game is 17years old. Huh, I never knew about that glitch at the start of the game, I would have done if internet was as prevalent as it is now! Great first episode of 2018 mate, really enjoy your vids
this broke my heart when you jumped across... Oh man, the times me and my friends had, driving as fast as we could and hitting shit before failing, to jumping.. Ah, the anger
My favourite retro gta, thanks dude for this video, it bringed so much memories. I remember those rockstar games made musics on some radios, on flashback fm, and on lips 106, it was awesome that they actually made there own hits for just the game.
TheBreakingBenny Those are just pedestrian that appears/spawns at Liberty Campus, they suppose to be CIA i remember when i was a kid going to hunt to those guys because i couldn’t pass that mission.
Thank you so much, its always awesome to get comments like this. It takes me a long time to do the commentary on videos as I'm my own worst critic and end up re-recording most captures, so I'm glad you enjoyed it.

Still better than GTA V. GTA online killed it. they've tried to resell that game 2 to 3 times already, with the "PREMIUM" edition being the nail in the coffin, and also the most laughable. They're trying to resell a game for £85 that's already been out for 5 years.
GTA 5 has nothing to do anymore with previous GTAs. the singleplayer was an absolute letdown and the mutliplayer is just cancer. i dont have hope anymore for this series.
I put over 2000 hours into GTA online over 5 years or so and saw it change and devolve so much over that time. First year or two were great, then came the flying cars and bikes and modders. Ugh. I miss the game in its early years greatly. I don't play any more.
GTA always has really detailed ships. If move the movie camera in GTA4 you can see inside the ships. They have kitchens, sleping areas, newspapers, photos of families, engine rooms. And you never see it normally.
11:25 You're one of a few people to mention this. First found this out in a gta sa mod gta united and on the gtafourms. Also you can see the stadium inside on the ps2 version but not pc and xbox due to the doors that look white(is actually a missing transparent texture).
I remember using that method to get to Staunton Island when I was younger! I though me and my little brother were the only people who knew how to get there
Very well presented video, it's pretty crazy seeing a lot of things that literally happen 'off-camera' like that, especially in odler games like these that a lot of people have played and think they know these games like the back of their hand, then you show them something like this and it's *mind blowing* what kind of secrets/easter eggs can often be revealed by taking a closer/better look around parts like those! :o Will certainly look forward to watching through more of these kind of videos too! :)
Glad you enjoy them and glad I can save you some time... It takes up a lot of it ha ha. Please tell me that's a real power glove on your thumbnail!!! :D
I fucking love this game its my favorite and before youtube existed I've played soo many ours I thought there was nothing that could impress me but damn almost 20 years later I still find new videos and information that proved me wrong!
replecating the world in a flipped version to give a reflection effect was very popular back in the day like you said it was even used in need for speed games like most wanted or carbon in interiors like the car shops or the garage you can go under the ground in free camera mod you would find a flipped version of your car and basically the whole interior
The weirdest part about Catalina in The Exchange cutscene is that this video doesn’t show that she freezes inside the camera’s view in Widescreen. But they actually fixed it for the mobile port.
8:03 Catalina has extended dialogue in the first European release (v1.40), in which she adds "and you can have this overused puta back." It's a good question as to why they decided to suddenly change that, since it wasn't anywhere as shocking as the SPANK-ed up suicide bombers.
Nice video, mate :) I also like playing around with the fly camera to find interesting stuff during cutscenes and I've found some of the things you showed here. I didn't know that one about Catalina tho, nice find :)
If you fly the dodo around the third island behind the dam then you can fly under the map and land on the street of the town in the opening cutscene. With some skill you can also fly it into the stadium. Did it all the time back on ps2
2:01 that place should be the way to get to the LC: Bank but nobody gets through the tunnel in Shorside Vale because it's block and no way through. like I'v wanted to go there and check it out, I hope GTA 3 has updated so that i can experience the extended map, So sad.
Thanks as always Danim, by the way i have been trying the games you suggested, although not having much luck with getting them working. I will keep trying though!
Nose the Dodo Plane down and gain speed, once sparks start spitting out the back, release the key and the Dodo gains height, make subtle taps on the button to nose the plane down and keep it levelled out. It'll lose altitude, but it picks back up again when it gains speed on the descent. As long as you only make subtle taps, it's actually really easy to control in the air, it's like riding a bike, difficult at first, but once you've got it, you've got it.
Just keep the plane level when it's in the air, and ignore it losing altitude in the initial stages, also, DO NOT fly over stunt jumps. The Dodo was not intended to be flown, so flying over a stunt jump will get you stuck in the stunt camera. Also, when you do the glitch to access Staunton early, the Staunton tunnel between Staunton and Shoreside is open, you didn't mention that on the video.
3:10 Maybe now I'll be able to get that stupid package somewhere near Colombians territory. Whenever I try in normal way they want to kill me. EDIT: I failed. I have stupid copy in which I can't listen to the radio and mouse steering doesn't work. I guess I need to search for how much it goes on Steam. (YES, there are people who do not use Steam or any game store!) 12:15 I saw a trick with a small car and a Fire Truck. First you park fire truck, then next to it a small but tall car, possibly Blista or Patriot. Go on smaller car, then on fire truck and voila!
i know this will never happen but i always wanted Rockstar to go back to GTA III or GTA Vice City and re-master them but with modern ambition and game play feature like we have in GTA V why yet still maintaining the old engine visuals of the first trilogy.

In my honest opinion, I think GTA 3 has aged pretty well in terms of story and mechanics.
Yeah, if they made HD remake, just upgraded Graphics and maybe a bit physics to not be that buggy, I'd buy it again. same as VC and SA.
Yea, unlike GTA 5
Grand Blue ‘graphics and mechanics are still okay’ Yeah, sure bud
Yep still very playable for hours of fun
Coming back to it, the motion blur is cray. I never even noticed it back in the day.
So i recommend the re-mastered version on xbox over the original ps2.

This one really caught my attention. Could you do this to Gta San Andreas?
Hey Atte, I'll be taking a look at it shortly :)

The glitch is pretty cool, just a fun one to try out :)Thanks man, appreciate it as always!
The game is old enough to play itself :D
I remember looking up the cheats on _dial_ _up_
*shudders*
this broke my heart when you jumped across... Oh man, the times me and my friends had, driving as fast as we could and hitting shit before failing, to jumping.. Ah, the anger
Sorry dude. Hope you don't remain angry at me for too long!
Awesome, I read a lot about GTA3 but didn't know about those lifeboats
Cool cool, glad i managed to show you something new.

5:39 Grand Theft Auto III - Black Reptilian ( Special Edition )
This is one of my favorite gta and I love this video
3:48 the subtitles are wrong, Mafia, not FBI
That was very sloppy of Rockstar, and we're still shooting at Mafias in the Under Surveillance mission... who apparently work undercover for the FBI.
TheBreakingBenny Those are just pedestrian that appears/spawns at Liberty Campus, they suppose to be CIA i remember when i was a kid going to hunt to those guys because i couldn’t pass that mission.
@@cobaltodesertico1749 It's pretty odd, frankly. Rockstar never updated the subtitles to match what's being said on PC and later versions.
Mate ur such a good commentator it makes the video 100% better with ur commentary
Thank you so much, its always awesome to get comments like this. It takes me a long time to do the commentary on videos as I'm my own worst critic and end up re-recording most captures, so I'm glad you enjoyed it.
Slippy Slides ur welcome top job 😊👍
yea cause otherwise i dont think we would know whats going on...
You should do this with all gta!

better than GTA V? You nostalgia merchants are special.

Ahhh cool man, thanks for the info!
I really like your British/Scottish/Irish accent :D
It’s Northern English.

12:05 flying the dojo? Hmm, now that is some advanced technology

The dodo flies like a glider. It was fun to fly to ghost town
Great video guy! I never has idea about this facts and you show to me! I liked it, good job!
Respect from Brazil!
Who does not know the "ghost town" ???
There are thousands of ghosttown mods !

this is AMAZING a whole new experience to the game, I feel like im playing it for the first time

The way 8 ball runs off the ship 😂😂😂 I always laughed at that when I was younger playing this

5:40 Limbo refrence 😉

Victor Chang yes he should
Do true crime streets of la !!!!
Amazing that stuff is still being found on this classic game!

I think you mean flying the Rhino
That's how I always got in at least.

Thank you so much for doing this game and manhunt
Very good video!! ❤❤❤
12:00 you can see inside the stadium if you drive a truck to the entrance. (the camera is higher with a higher vehicle)
SLIPPYBIRDS ARE GO! XD
Love this series, always love the behind-the-scenes kinda trivia in video games, especially the GTA series.
xD
5:40 what the hell happened to Claude?
This is the PC version of GTA 3. On PC you can reskin your character to look different.

Slippy Slides Is it hard to get used to the language? I mean, you speak English pretty good.
Aside from jumping on the other side of the bridge, you could just simply use the tunnel glitch which you can travel to Staunton and Shoreside

no its not.
And I am not allowed to share my opinion or what?
it’s way better
are you sure about that? you say it like its a fact but its not. gta v is way more sucessful than gta 3 THATS A FACT.

Wich what application i need to do this with the camera? Sorry for bad english :(
