This song makes me recall a girl from my past that I’d known since I was six. I always had a bit of a crush on her, and it continued to grow into my teenage years. She is, honestly, one of the prettiest girls I’ve ever known. Anyways, I was always awkward with women and I never got up the nerve to ask her out, but I did casually once say that I wanted to bring her to a movie. I can’t really remember her reaction, but I never made plans with her and now she seems to have disappeared from the face of the planet years later. No Facebook or MySpace, nothing. It seems I missed my chance. However, every time I listen to this song, I remember her. “I’m hypnotized by your name” is true because I think she has a beautiful name, and she captivates me. I like to think about what might have happened if we ever did go see that movie and the line “I hope this night never ends” makes my heart break just a little knowing it never happened. Who knows, maybe one day our paths will cross again, and I’ll be braver, and we'll finally go see a movie.

I'm so happy to see Deftones make a video like this. So many late evenings have been spent listening to this album whilst cruising around town on my board. Minus the talent, this is exactly what I'm doing when I hear this album. The combination of city lights, my freedom of expression and exploration is really the most relaxing thing I can imagine. So, for me...this video is perfect. No massive rails, no skatepark, just one guy doing what he loves and doing it in his own unique way. I'm sure the members of Deftones have felt this way before, seeing as they skate. And I'm sure this feeling has influenced them to make music that compliments it.

For those of you complaining about the skating in this video clearly have not listened to Deftones very long. During my generation, everybody skated, so for me it brings back many memories of listening to Deftones, among many others, during the early 90s.
I started listening to Deftones when i was 16 years old, now I am 28 years old.. I can´t stop listening them, very huge Deftones Fan from México! saludos cabrones!
I don't skate, I ride, but this is a song that I could listen to while whizzing through streets, onto trails, and back into the streets, around cars, barely missing death.... on a trail that sinks into a canyon or a street filled with traffic buzzing by within inches... not a care in the world but for the freedom.

This video inspired me to skate again. My friends stopped skating, and later on so did i because i thought it's not worth it anymore if your friends are not their to learn with you or to go about the journey with you. But this video made me realize that you don't need friends to enjoy skating. It's just you, your board, the playground, and your love for skating. Thank you Deftones!
There are two things that I can not help thinking when I hear this song 1- It is to want to enjoy beer touring a city of this magnitude and at the same time enjoy the night landscape full of stars, something of which I am a fan, listening to Deftones, repeating this song over and over again 2- The other is a friend, although we could not have anything, we both liked and shared a lot of time starting this year and we talked all the time. Unfortunately we do not talk much anymore, only once in a while. I remember when he came from his house the first song he heard was this one. A while ago he asked me to recommend my songs and I did not dare to share this, and I hope to one day show it and know everything linked to it, so be this comment.
