    Thank you for sharing. I raise milk goats mostly but I've recently purchased a very nice Kiko billy. I'm doing pretty much the same thing as you...learning as I go and hoping I don't make any major mistakes and kill one or more of my animals. I really appreciate you sharing what you know and new things you find out about.

    Hey Kevin, you forgot the amazon link to that drench stuff, you got me interested. I've had to give a couple Vit B shots this kid season, but if there is a vit b drench, much rather use that than shots on new borns, thanks for the advice.
    Also, if it were me, I'd get one of those tanker heater cages to put on your heater. Touching right on that rubber, good chance of melting through and causing big issues. Good video!

    • @HiddenHeightsFarm

    Hey Kevin you can make this yourself. A little molasses and warm water to help a tired mother out after she’s kidded it’s seems to help them out so much. This store version might have more of what they both need. How about Teddy, he’s so cute and genuine. Sun is shining here today so I happy about that, lost some early blooming bulbs but the deer might have been the reason.

    We use Nutri-drench I think they are similar. It is a great product! One of my LGD’s does not like the camera either. Where do you put the chicken feed so the goats don’t get it?

    • @HiddenHeightsFarm
      @HiddenHeightsFarm  6 років тому +1

      We have a door into the barn where the goats can't get into the main part where we keep the chickens.

    Do you make your own maple syrup and jams and molasses? Oh my grandpa used to tap maple trees on their property. I do miss those days but now it gets too hot to grow anything unless you have a system like he does. Food taste so good from my homeland. Kevin do you like goat meat? I like it better than lamb. Well you take care.

    • @HiddenHeightsFarm

Yes I am mad but it’s the mother in me I just hate to see any animal die. I just hope that is the last one to die. Thanks for another great video stay safe and god bless. Liquid cane feed at $20 for 5 gallons, maybe alfalfa pellets mixed in for feed?
    Hydroponic goats isn't a long term management program.
    Load them up, graze them where grass doesn't have broadleaf pesticide applications aren't going on.
    Healthy goats stomp dents on the roof of your cars, if you're not watching.
    That's a bunch of lawn for goats....
