Alright so I have like around 50 to 60 goats with 8 babies and I need help because 2 or 3 already died, i dont know how and why, all i want to know why are they dying... First they start off sick by not walking just laying on the ground and when I pick the back up they take a few steps amd just fall again and by like 1 or 2 days they just die, I looked it up in the internet and I saw they I have to give the some kind on vitamine b1 stuff idk, but i need your help..
Well I wish I could help!! My best guess is you may have a disease in your herd. I’d have a vet come do blood work quick. Shouldn’t be more than a few hundred bucks. Keep us informed. I’d like to know what you hear back. Good luck with the rest of them!!!
I meant like by petting them or brushing them, and yea some goats do have the cl disease, I was petting one and touched the bump, wet, yellow, thing in there throats, but I washed my hand right away when I felt the wet bump.
Tammie Layne That would be great to learn!! Maybe you could come up and teach a clinic with some other friends and homesteaders. Valuable skill to know.
Oh man, I’m still trying to figure out when I get replies from you two. Yes! This summer I could do that. Never started an IV on an animal, but it can’t be any harder than a baby. Lol. Watching the beginning of this video while replying......those goats are cracking me up! Love you all! ❤️.
If you need some electrolytes in a pinch, a bottle of Gatorade warmed up will work
Where do you get the bags of electrolytes for goats?
Any farm & feed store will have something

Your so cute!! You need me there to teach you how to start an IV if an animal ever needs it. 😊
