They wouldn’t even give me the pieces. My teacher tried not to laugh when I told him a goat ate my book. I love them still.
I can relate. My family use to raise goats and we showed them in 4 H. One day I lost my homework on the way to the bus stop. The goat ate. Teacher did not believe me. But my classmates knew about my goats and backed me up. Fun times.

a goat was given to me a few years ago, an old ornery hard headed billy. I put him in two acres of overgrown property. He did a wonderful job of eating the weeds, briars, honeysuckles etc. He was entertaining, comical and first cousin to Houdini. He had a knack for escaping. No matter the weather he wanted to be in the scrub on my two acres. He was happy down in that overgrown area. A sleet and freezing rain storm rolled in so I went down got the goat and brought him to the barn and put him in a stall. Next morning I went to check on the goat and he was not there but he had butted 3 boards off the side of the barn and he was outside covered in sleet and ice eating honeysuckles. His head was harder than concrete and he loved to be smacked with a broom or board. He would back up, then raise up on hind legs and come forward then drop down and run to be smacked, over and over. Numerous times he snuck up behind and head butted me in the rear end. I also had 3 dogs and he loved to play with those dogs. That old goat was quite the character.

I would love to see a series on how to raise goats from you guys! That would be great because I know that it would be an excellent source for the truth about raising goats. We once owned a pet goat named NaNa. That is what she was always saying, so we named her NaNa! She was precious. However we did not know that we had coyotes in North Carolina. One day when I was in my office our little Pomeranian house dog went berserk barking toward the barn like crazy. There in the barnyard two eastern red wolf/coyote mix were killing our little NaNa. At the time I did not know how to shoot a gun. Needless to say now I do know how to shoot a gun. When we look back it is amazing that she was able to live for 3 years there at the barn and survive at all. I know that they had been after her for some time, but I just did not realize it when it was happening until I saw them with my own eyes. Knowing what you all know about raising goats would be such a wonderful way to learn the ropes about what all it takes to raise them safely. Hope to see the Raising Goats Series soon! Journey On!
I'm sorry to hear that story. A good livestock guard dog is always good to have around. You just never know what might be out there waiting to kill your animals.
Great job, thanks for the tips on goat care, your kinda the goat man on UA-cam. Looking forward to your new goat series. Can you show us how to milk a goat?
consider a video about the demand for goat meat. I don't see much of it around. I just researched its demand by ethnic group. In what region of the US do you live? Who buys your meat? Just curious. I'd like to try it.

There are some farms that offer classes on raising goats. My neighbor has them now and then.
Get an Antolian pup with the goat. Then raise it with the goats. They will keep coyotes away.
This is great info! We are considering goats. So any educational info is greatly appreciated. Thanks!! 😊

Beautiful pup! Great place to keep the big guy busy. Nice vid
consider a video about the demand for goat meat. I don't see much of it around. I just researched its demand by ethnic group. In what region of the US do you live? Who buys your meat? Just curious. I'd like to try it.
Yes we are interested in a series. Thank you
