  • Johnny demoing the Soul Food pedal against a legendary Klon Centaur pedal. The differences are very small, and the price range is very different.

Best demo comparison of these two pedals in UA-cam. Straight to the point, riffs and licks and perfect switching from one to the other.

The klon is a little bit better but not by much. The soul food proved to be a great choice for tone. Great review!

A Klon or a Les Paul desert burst...plus another 500 bucks for pedal spendin'...people are insane for paying 3 grand for a guitar pedal.

I think Klon Centaur sounds a bit more open.

Unreal! The demo procedure is ingenious in its simplicity, and the pedals sound SO close! After this, my days of searching for a Klon or Klone are over. With the popularity of this pedal, I'm sure EHX is going to issue deluxe versions and SF's with extra bells and whistles. I wish them the best, and I look forward to seeing what they do with various iterations of this pedal. I'd love to see one with some bass control.

The small sound difference between the too makes the Centaur not worth its asking price!!!... finale a Klon Killer!!!. well done EH.

I first listened blind and noted which sounds I liked more. Great job on switching in this video. I needed assistance to identify the one I liked most which was the EH.
I then listened to it while watching. From this video I hear the Klon being a little more beefy in the lows with more mud there as well... or is it mojo I hear and not mud. A preference thing there for sure. I also hear the EH sounding a little more aggressive in the mids. I prefer the EH and saving enough money for another Plexi... isnt that where the tone is anyways ;)

There is slight difference, but not worth paying 8930$ extra :P

I prefer the sound of the klon, but its $70 vs $3000

I like the Soul Food, but I think my Analogman KOT pedal beats them both. But I'm a collector so I'll get a soul Food anyway :-) Great demo guys.

They sound so much alike the in my mind the EH Soul Food wins hands down on price alone.

It might sound weird, but in this video the soul food sounds more rock IMHO...
