Very nice comparison. I have the RUCKER 2.0 20L and a GR1 26L as well both great packs. GORUCK now offers a 20L and a 25L RUCKER. Both with side handles for a total of 4 handles.
Thanks for showing these packs. I've been hearing more and more about goruck, and have been wanting to try some of their stuff. Your review really helped me out. Cheers.
Thanks for this video man! I’ve been thinking about upgrading my 10yr Jansport that’s falling apart, and these bags are exactly what I’ve been trying to decide between.
Nice review. I bought a cheap backpack from Sams several years ago. It’s not great. I probably need to invest in a decent one. Thanks for taking the time to show the different models. They must be good quality, as you have several. ;)
Yes, sir. I’ve had many over the years. These fit my needs the best, at the moment. Made in The USA, there’s a discount offered for students, Vet, first responders, educators, etc, there’s a warranty department that delivers, and it’s a Veteran owned company that employees other Vets. I’m very pleased. 👊
Got the GR1 26 liter the other day and was surprised by how stiff the zippers were and the straps werent great. After a little research I found out there are two versions...USA and Vietnam. Its been fairly well documented that some corners were cut to the overseas bag, notably the straps and material. I went back to double check and this isnt mentioned anywhere. What is mentioned is that sales are final. As a gearhead I found this quite deceptive and reached out to the company. To be fair, I have a 5.11 bag to compare it to and the goruck is way better than the 5.11.One of the only design features I did not understand was that the molle loops are low and it really limits the usefulness for a modular system. I would personally have a seamstress add about 2 more rows. I went online to check a GR2 34 and was surprised to see it sitting at $375+ tax. A person could literally buy 2 Peak Design travel bags for that price and keep one on the shelf until the other gets worn out. Dont get the wrong idea, I like purposeful built gear(fulltime firefighter/filmmaker) and understand the need for durability but when I saw that the only place to buy the USA bag was Rogue Fitness I spotted the problem. To each their own but after using the bag its not for me...sorry for the dissertation but I thought it was important after my "NO RETURN" experience.
Unfortunately they switch over some time ago. There has definitely been a premium added to the bags that were made before the shift. I do think some models are still made here. I did not know they had a no return policy now. I know they got beat up pretty good over the switch to Vietnam. Maybe it hurt their bottom line so badly they can’t afford the loss on returns. Not our problem. Just brainstorming. They do offer customizations for a fair price. They did a full campaign on their IG over the summer where they posted the mods they would do, asked which ones we would like to see, and told the pricing. I was interested in adding a handle on the side of the bag. I think that was like $25.
@@Alumapro23 Funny we could sit and have a conversation about a bag, fun times. Interesting note, I live about 20 minutes from the Recycled Firefighter HQ.

Except you didn’t show the part where you put them on. I would have liked to see the fit.
Thanks. There’s always room for improvement. I guess that leaves room for a v3 down the road 👊

Thabks, man. I’m not sure if the webbing color. I think it’s Crimson since it’s one from the college series and this is a Bama bag.
I’m definitely going to grab a 25L awesome video I always enjoy these 👊
That should be a solid pick up. Thanks for the kind words 👊
Thank you great job
Thanks, man 👊

Yessir, it will 👊

David Choi I haven’t had any issue with 90% of clothing. These new, soft, cheaply made, tshirts pill up super fast though.
You got alot of bags
Thank you 🙏
My edc is a Quechua 10L bag....$5.00 ;)
Awesome! We live in a great day and age. So many options for so many people. 👍👍
