Venom 3: Tom Hardy Must Face Topher Grace (No, Really)

- Venom 3 could redeem Topher Grace’s Venom, it could redeem Joe Manganiello’s missed opportunities, and it could finally give Tom Hardy an epic venom movie as grandiose as Spider-Man.
Venom’s trip into the mcu was stupid and disappointing - I can’t believe he bounced from post credit scene to post credit scene and left without as much as seeing a Peter Parker from a distance. It seems like a lot of set up just to get the black suit over to the MCU, when it would be perfectly acceptable for Peter to discover it the same way we’re used to. You know, because it’s a multiverse. No one expected Norman Osborn to drop off some Goblin formula to MCU Norman did they?
In my mind it would seem like a massive cop out if he simply returns home in the threequel - so what if he does get home - the long way round?
Venom 2 aka Venom Let There Be Carnage saw him face Carnage, and they killed him off in just one appearance. That’s a bit sad considering Carnage is Venom’s number one big bad, and even with multiverse rules it would seem a bit redundant for Tom Hardy to face yet another Woody Harrelson.
So if everyone is getting a taste of the multiverse in this next phase, why not make the antagonist of Venom 3 the guy that was meant to get the lead in the spin off when it first got developed in 2007? That’s right - bring back Topher Grace’s venom as the ultimate-weasley-little-s*** antagonist to Tom Hardy’s anti-hero Eddie Brock in a multiversal showdown.
Topher Grace’s Venom knew Peter Parker’s identity - so it stands to reason that he escaped his death in spider-man 3 and was sent to a different reality like the other No Way Home villains. Venom was meant to travel to the MCU but after just facing defeat at the hands of Spider-Man and having multiversal symbiote knowledge the other No Way Home villains didn’t, an ability established in the previous movie, Topher Brock is able to fight the urge to end up there and is instead thrown across the multiverse from the spell.
Which leads us to Tom Hardy’s Venom dropping into… the Amazing Spider-Man universe. Here the core dynamic is established - that of Andrew Garfield’s Spider-Man trying to ascertain who this strange visitor is and whether or not he’s a threat.
Garfield is perfect for this Venom. Not only is he the only Spider-Man who hasn’t fought an alien, he’s clearly the darkest of the No Way Home trio. He noted that after Gwen he stopped pulling his punches, so maybe by pairing him up with the lethal protector himself the movie could explore that a bit more. Plus Tom Holland will have his own black suit story down the line… Tugboat obviously had a venom… Why not put Hardy with Garfield? Hardy never had a Spider-Man in his origin story, and Garfield never got to have a venom.
Why is Topher Grace Brock killing other versions of him? Well, in Spider-Man 3 he is humbled and humiliated - his confident sense of self is shattered and the only thing to pick up the pieces is the symbiote - which he then loses control of mere hours later. Even with the symbiote he was nothing, something the alien creature drills into his head - you are pathetic - useless, and weak. Brock’s overriding objective is to be strong - stronger than any spider-man - stronger than any version of himself that’s seemed to achieve so much more. He’s essentially killing the other Brocks so that he can build armour around himself and satisfy his emotional instability. When he’s the only Brock left, finally he’ll be the most worthy version of himself. Finally he’ll be whole.

Topher Grace travelling across the multiverse absorbing Venoms and other symbiotes until he eventually transcends time and becomes Knull the symbiote god just to be defeated by Hardy Venom with the power of friendship would be a hell of a movie.
Would be cool to take that idea and make Knull a multiversal threat for the Spiderman side of Marvel. Could tie in the symbiote from No Way Home and we could finally get a Hardy/Holland teamup.

It could even be unironicly bad ass if done in proper context. Like I can imagine Eddie fighting Flash as like a tactical hooded stranger and he's like way too good at it but Eddie suits up and starts gaining the upper hand until Flash utilizes his symbiote and regains composure and Eddie reasonably frustrated with how he keeps running into all these other symbiotes exclames "NO no I'm DONE with this I'm tired I don't wanna fight you" and maybe the camera would follow flashes symbiote as he retracts it back to his arm and the camera pans up to his face and he says the line just before unmasking himself. That's just me spitballing.

Topher Grace did a _spectacular_ job in *Predators* and it would be an interesting way for Tom Hardy to act against a slightly different reflection of himself as Eddie & Venom in the way that *No Way Home* did for Spider-Man.

Man, sometimes you see amazing pitches like this and it's almost sad knowing how likely it is that it'll never happen... but something this sick almost makes me wanna hope.
Honestly this sounds really interesting, and is way more fun than just doing Toxin immediately after Carnage. If you're going to do another symbiote villain after Riot and the aforementioned Carnage, you have to do things very differently to make it worthwhile.

Godamn, this sounds entertaining as hell. How in the world can a UA-camr come up with a better pitch/story than actual Hollywood execs? Your pitch literally screams out as a love letter to the Symbiotes and the lore of the Marvel Multiverse with tidbits of fan service sprinkled into it and I applaud you for that.

Hopefully this will predict soon because all I can imagine during the way home after Tom, Holland, Spider-Man, and Doctor Strange accidentally caused the time spell reveals a Topher Grace Venom disappear, while he was hunting down the original Spider-Man that’s where he sees those purple cracks in the sky those portals I would say. Then later he slingshots himself into another dimension and that’s where they will be a fight in New York. Well, Tom Hardy’s venom travels there after feeling inspired to go to New York, but later costed him new rival and that’s where he will admit that the reason why he’s a loser because he couldn’t beat himself through mind.

I love this idea so much. Venom 3 with 3 different venoms. Re-introducing Andrew's spiderman. I think if you take it in a super comedic, unserious direction you could end up with a genuinely great comic book film. My biggest issue with Venom 2 was the conflicting tones, it was half serious half comedic. Sticking fully to the comedy in venom 3 especially with how crazy this concept is would be fantastic. Even just the potential of the scenes we could get, like Garfield meeting 3 aliens with 2 of them from a different universe, its so much potential.
This is a horrendous take, other then venom 2 being conflicted. Comic books can be goofy but they can also be serious, marvel has utterly ruined that for everyone. Sunders justice league was better then any avengers movie imo and the cinema released version was horrid expressly because they wanted to mimic marvels comedy. Even the best MCU content was focused on seriousness, jessica Jones, daredevil, like cage were all serious. I hate people like you who are actively fighting against better stories in favor of low brow jokes that never serve the story
@@Jiub_SN lmao ok. Bro wants Venom 3, the third in a serious of a goofy comic book films, to be the first serious and grounded one in the trilogy. The problem with Marvel is unfunny humour and bland storytelling. This idea maximises a fully comic-book-esque wild narrative and lends itself to off the wall humour. But nah you right, venom 3 should be the serious Snyder-like film.

Okay, you sold me on it. While Topher didn't fulfill the 90s cartoon (and comic) Eddie Brock's ridiculously bulked physique, I thought he did pretty well with what he was given in Spidey 3 (SFX didn't exactly help, unfortunately), particularly working as a "dark mirror" to Tobey's Spidey. This idea would give him an opportunity to flex his acting chops a bit more and portray a menacing version of the character, but also deliver something interesting with Sony's obsession of having Venom fight other symbiotes.

Kraven should never be adapted to live-action. That character will not translate well to live-action. He should’ve stayed in comics, video games, and in animation where he belongs. Stupid Hollywood never learns.

Not really a fan of Grace's Venom but he does play monsters well. Actually, he's more terrifying as just this guy who does horrific things. He's even a bit scary as a life coach.

I really think that Topher Grace’s Venom should have been in No Way Home instead of Tom Hardy’s. He canonically knew Peter was Spider-man (not some flimsy hive hind reasoning), has a personal connection to one of the Spider-men, dies, and has a reason to fight Holland’s Spider-man. It would also allow him to also have a redemption at the character and allow the same opportunity for the Symbiote to be introduced into the MCU.
Plus, we’d get an actual Sinister Six
But he realized he was Spider-Man before the symbiote touched him
@@officialmonarchmusic I think the logistics of the spell (with how flimsy the timing can be) is as follows;
- It isn’t from the exact moment they learned Peter’s identity, it’s just that a few of them died shortly after, meaning a smaller window of moments they could have been taken from
- If they were still alive in the timeline relative to the MCU (the 2023 of their respective universes), then that’s more likely to be where they were taken from
- It’s not the exact moment they learned Peter’s identity, but it is the starting point of when they could be taken from (and because Tom Hardy’s Venom was seemingly in present day relative to the spell being cast, he was zapped in immediately (this one’s a bit more flimsy, but I think it makes enough sense)

@@officialmonarchmusic But, like I said, Doc Ock wasn’t taken from the exact second he found out. There was probably about 30 seconds to a minute tops between him finding out and him strangling Peter (which was when he said he was taken from).
There’s also the fact that Sandman is taken from long after the events of Spider-man 3 considering he’s friendly with Peter and Venom definitely told him Peter’s identity before kidnapping MJ.
As well as the Connors dialogue implying he was taken from after the events of TASM 1 (I’m theorizing that he had a relapse at some point)
And Goblin had all his gear on him (he found out at the Thanksgiving Dinner, no suit, no glider. Meaning he was taken from some time between him attacking Aunt May and the Final fight, but not right before he died).
Max has also been theorized to have pieces together Peter’s identity because he presumably heard Gwen call him Peter (or he did absorb both energy and data when he was dying, and that included Oscorp servers that already knew Peter’s secret)
So to me, this allows Topher Grace’s Venom to apply to getting pulled into the MCU while having the Symbiote

I like this. A way more creative idea than what other people have suggested, which is to have Topher randomly show up and immediately get killed by Tom’s venom. That would be a waste of time bringing back an old character just to do nothing with him

I want MCU Eddie Brock to be played by Tom Felton. Because I believe he is the perfect embodiment of Eddie as a character.
Funny thing is, when I was in 3rd grade I imagined a storyline exactly like Topher Grace's Venom arc.
Except that Topher is being replaced by Tom Felton (using his Draco year 3 appearance)
While Tobey is replaced by Andrew as Spider-Man
Love the idea, just hope if it does happens he has a design more reminiscent of Spiderman 3

When the way home came out, I was thinking the same thing. It would make total sense. The whole hive mind situation and everything. Also, in my opinion, I do think that version of venom was intimidating. That symbiote was straight out of a horror movie because of Sam Raimi. Also, it is strange that he wasn’t sent in no way home. I think it was to not get the average moviegoer confused.

Great Job with the video, my only problem is that I fail to see how Topher’s Venom is weaker, I mean he has Spider-Man’s power and regenerative abilities, The only real advantages I can confirm for Tom’s Venom is A.The Symbiote Hive Mind ability, B.The Shapeshifting and C.Larger Size(though Topher’s Venom has Maguire’s strength if not slightly above)

@@FullFatVideos Yeah Exactly So I don’t see why people would complain about that especially since Tobey’s Spider-Man has demonstrated better feats of strength and durability than Either Andrew or Tom’s! So they’re just being silly plus Topher’s Venom has a versatility advantage being able to fight off Spider-Man and the New Goblin whilst Tom’s Venom has only fought Symbiotes so far(He didn’t even beat Shriek, Carnage did)! Great Job! People bitching are just bitching without any evidence!
There's also the factor that Topher's Venom can block Tobey's spider-sense which helps him dominate the entire fight. If Harry hadn't jumped into the crossfire, Venom would've killed Spider-Man with Harry's own glider.
I've always had this theory that Venom being in NWH for a "Gotcha!" moment was a subtle dig at Arad for shoehorning the character into everything. That being said, there's a ton of possibilities from this multiverse hop.
I love the idea of just folding him into the amazing Spiderman universe for a bit. Like I imagine when they'd fight Spidey would so quip referencing "I've always wanted to fight an alien"
Okay I love this idea but for a different possible reason: It's not the most moral Eddie & Venom, it's the only one who isn't in a toxic (ha!) relationship.
Topher and his Venom though are in a super toxic relationship and the multiversal lashing out is because of this.

I really like the Venom movies so far but I do agree that 3 should really spice things up, I'm of the idea that Venom fighting other marvel villain's or generally other members of Spidey's rouges roster would be cool (like Kraven, Hob Goblin, Scorpion, a few come to mind) would be cool, but I also feel that a Venomverse type movie would be best if it were like a potential 4th movie or something. Overall very neat, in general I also feel like a Venomverse has potential to sell well tbh.

Think it would be a cool idea if between the time where Garfield's Spider-man went between universes, his universe continued without him for 5/10 years.
Perhaps due to a crime breaking out at a location where Peter was last seen, and where Spider-man was last seen - everyone over the 5/10 years speculated and put together Spider-man's identity, though not with any proof. And due to Spider-man's absence, crime is at an all-time high in Garfield's New York. When Peter comes back (directly after the end of NWH) he's confronted with a New York 5/10 years forwards in time, without Spider-man and without Peter Parker.
He can't be Peter anymore because everyone will think he's Spider-man and do nothing but suspect that. And he can't be Spider-man anymore because it will break the news and everyone will begin pestering Aunt May (who's had to deal with Peter's sudden disappearance for so many years). He can't resume the life that he had, because he'll never be able to have a balance of lifestyles due, because he no longer has anonymity.
It presents the same problems that Tom's Peter Parker had in NWH, but the difference is, no one knows for certain the identity, and no one knows that Peter and Spider-man is back.
So Peter changes his look (hair length, hair color, glasses, facial hair) and modifies the appearance of his suit to look like any other imitation/copycat of Spider-man in the city.
This is where Peter Parker takes on the alias 'Ben Reilly' after Uncle Ben, and May's maiden name 'Reilly', and dons the modified Spider-man suit, that now looks like the Scarlet Spider suit.
Any mention of Agent Venom, and I am INSTANTLY ON BOARD

This is such an interesting concept. I hated Topher as venom, but something like this could not only redeem him but retroactively make his first appearance better. By giving him so much purpose it would make his humble beginnings in spiderman 3 more compelling. This movie concept is so well thought out. awesome video.
Almost killing the strongest Spider-Man is considered a low power level? Tophers venom has all of the strongest Spider-Mans powers duplicated and significantly amplified on top of that.

Honestly, after what the MCU did to GORR & what Sony did to Carnage, I have looow faith regarding how they may interpret Knull.
However this is an interesting interpretation, A Dark Venom assimilating dozens of alternative versions of himself until their is nothing left of who once was, leaving (Topher) Brock's mind & heart *Knull*
Now this a movie that definitely would and should become a reality
About the villain movie thing: Venom makes sense because he was already an anti-hero anyway. He’s been an anti-hero in the comics for a long time.

Topher grace was the only Evil venom ever created, he was sinister and psychopathic, Topher was a villain in this Movie, he wasn’t a anti hero joke just like venom in the comics or Tom Hardy’s version. That scene when Edwin was talking to Issabelle in predators aways make me Think of his venom. Like Damn That Voice immediately makes me think of his Venom. I wish there was more to that venom in spiderman 3.

They should've had Venom take place in the same universe as Amazing Spider-Man, then tease Flash joining the marines while Eddie is covering some war going on overseas. Then Agent Venom is introduced, and Venom and Agent Venom team up to fight Carnage. And they would be able to eventually interact with Andrew Garfield Spider-man.

Topher grace was the only Evil venom ever created, he was sinister and psychopathic, Topher was a villain in this Movie, he wasn’t a anti hero joke just like venom in the comics or Tom Hardy’s version. There's a lot of neat ideas here. I definitely think the simplest and most logical thing to do is say Venom's universe is the same as Andrew Garfield's Spidey. From there, though, I like the idea of Grace as a Venomverse big-bad. I have mixed thoughts on Agent Venom being included, especially if Garfield is in the picture, and I would say Garfield is needed to sell the concept. It's a catch 22, in my mind; making him part of the story is too much, but relegating him to a post-credits scene isn't enough.
I think 4 main characters, with one being an out and put antagonist, is decent without being too bloating. NWH has like 10 principal characters

That would most certainly be a better plot than then ruining Toxin, which is what they seemed to set up in Venom 2. To have Topher Grace's Venom be the big bad sounds laughable at first but done in this style....it would be truly awesome!

I have a theory about that goblin formula thing. Ned. Apparently there was a hobgoblin in the comics named Ned. Maybe Osborne made a backup plan to get revenge and Ned becomes the perfect tool. His best friend turned to his enemy. Sounds like something Green Goblin would do. I mean he did it to his son.

It would be cool if Topher grace absorbs multiple symbiotes but then at the end of the movie when venom and topher fight. Knull arrives and kills Topher. Then they can slowly introduce a Spider-Man and venom team up movie against knull. But of course idk how I’d feel if the antagonist would be killed off randomly

I love to see Topher back as Venom, maybe a good redemption for the character, he's a good actor but his role was messed up because of the situation with Sony and Raimi, like this takes place after No Way Home where not all characters returned home and some were trapped or in an alternative timelines, just give Topher a good justice tbh, also team up with TAS Green Goblin too which leads into a Sinister Six esque movie where the villains from No Way Home team up again but as heroes and save the multiverse against their variants, also reunite Defoe Goblin with Defranco Harry Osborne from the Spiderman 3 movie, just all the possibilities tbh
I think they should not make James Franco return, he's pretty much ay Ezra Miller's level of problematic. Also, I think Dane Dehaan's Harry just works that much more as a son to Williem's Norman.
