I like the 711L ratchet I use with a gator grip socket. But the leatherman one I like for screws. I have the Surge though so that's why. I like the Arc but it just doesn't have everything the Surge has I would keep various tshank jigsaw blades for my surge in that pack
While I loved my classic Leatherman from 35 year ago, I love my Wave+ even more. Buying the ratchet for it worked well for me, glad to have caught it on Amazon. For the tasks I’ve needed it for it’s worked perfectly as intended, can only figure you have completely different needs.
I think Leathermans are great stand alone tools that are great for on the go. But for something you’re describing I’d look into maybe the Fix-It-Sticks kit. It’s a fully built out kit in a small package.
I have a very similar setup for a motorcycle kit. I use a P4 instead of the arc, but the rest looks the same. Very convenient small setup when space is a factor.
Leatherman has a white sheath "with pockets" that allows enough room for my wave +, the 2 bit kits they offer which give you practically every screwdriver and torx bit, and two side strappy thingies that I keep my ratchet driver and a 4" crescent wrench in. I'm gonna soon swap the wrench for the small Knipex pliers wrench. Maybe you could keep your arc with you as such with the leatherman ratchet driver day to day, and keep the aftermarket one in your pouch with your Skeletool for when you're going biking? Best of luck. These are good problems to have 😊
That one is great, when you can find it. I did a short about it an Amazon alternative last year because scalpers are selling the Icon set for nearly $80.
I have both the Leatherman & 711L pivot ratchet. They're both great, the 711 is more versatile (turn head 90° & it works as well as a straight driver). Neither stores well with a tool, you need a caddy of some sort or tool pouch.
This is a solution looking for a problem. I like you found a better solution than what Leatherman offers. I see the tiny case as a great booboo kit - bandaids and blisters. That way you’re not digging out the big first aid kit.
I like "dad kit". I have a Leatherman Wave and a flashlight that fit in one sheath. Wicked handy on the weekends around the house and I also use it every time I go camping.
I have almost bought it so many times. I don’t like its ratchet, and it doesn’t have the socket coverage I would want for the price. But the small one in the Advent Calendar is more what I’d want.

I've used a couple of different pocket bit drivers and by far the best on is the Icon Mini Ratchet from Harbor Freight

Skeletool is great with the victorinox compact
A small flashlight (AAA Battery or rechargeable).
Good idea! I think a rechargeable is smart idea. Nobody wants to find a light with a dead battery last minute.
Rovyvin A8 @@JustinBMcBride
If you want with replaceable batt rovyvin e8

That’s what I have from MyMedic, their small kit is awesome.
Sorry back again, 😆 They have a multitude of options so maybe check out what they have to offer to better suit your needs or kit 🤘
Yeah - steal some inspiration. Good idea.
Just happy I didn't pay scalper prices for it. It's not as great as was hyped that's for sure.
Glad to see you doing EDC video
It’s obviously a “Dude Kit” very your daily needs. Second choice would be a “Dad Kit”
Ok - dad kit is clever. I may be barking up the wrong tree with a bike kit!

Just get the Wera toolcheck plus...

Once you get it just mix and match from other kits then 😅@@JustinBMcBride
Tire levers if it's for bikes!
Another smart idea!
