- I have always wanted to make a glass floor or glass deck so I got a bunch of glass blocks from Home Depot and made this Glass Deck with LED lights underneath it.

You could sandblast the blocks. They would diffuse the light and be a bit less slippery.
not rain is a desert
My thought would be to hit the underside, so you have the diffusion, but still keep the reflective top he likes.
James Humphrey who said anything about rain?
@@andrewdrozd847
And if you didn't want to mess with hydrofluoric acid etchers and-the-like then maybe a spray-on coating... to the underside, naturally.
@@markzambelli I liked J. Joy's suggestion to sand blast. I suppose I used the word 'etch' a little generically. Before seeing their comment on sand blasting, I was thinking a grinder with a flap disk.
Wow! I'm constantly blown away by your creativity and unique designs
I love the idea of a glass floor in the desert. It's beautiful, especially at night. Looks awesome. Well done!
This dude got his own mountain, lol.
* Let me just walk up my mountain real quick * LOL
its a small mountain more of a hill really
you could have your own mountain too if you bought property where he's at. although, i doubt he'll be dancing on that glass in the summer. i lasted 6 years there and had to go.

So creative! I'm looking forward to the furniture ideas for this deck!
me too!
It'll need to have wide feet to not pierce the glass
Ever seen Tron Legacy? Kevin Flynn’s house has the light up floor but also uses white Victorian furniture. Some components of the chairs and tables were transparent and behind the scenes footage reveals that they were acrylic with frosted ends, allowing the light to pass through and weave around the furniture. I don’t know how difficult that would be but i think the furniture should make use of the light from below.

Wow, stunning build! It’s not for everyone, but it doesn’t have to be. Really beautiful concept and the end result is gorgeous.
That's really cool! Some elegant, sweeping shapes that reflect the light from below would look amazing up there!
Very cool project. Finally we learn why the rock hauler was created. Thanks! : )
So cool. I just love the effect. I’m currently redesigning my backyard and leaving a place for a future hot tub deck. This could be a perfect option!
Honestly...in my head I was thinking...WHY?! Just...WHY?! But was intrigued and deep down I would totally be stoked to sit out there to have a beer, chat, and enjoy a sunset. It looks absolutely beautiful. Nice design!
yeah i was skeptical too. it doesnt make sense but at the same time there is something so cool about hanging out on it
Great build, Ben! Very inspiring. Great idea, great execution.
Agh! Love this man. My style, clean and unique. I love 80's design like art deco, metal and geometrics
Beautiful idea. Very cool. I can’t wait to see what you do with this project.
This makes me happy, don't why it just does. Nicely done Ben.
thank you!
Super cool! Love the learning experience that you went through
Awesome! I can see you making additional shapes/designs with those glass blocks.
Great project, I think it's super cool.
Cool pond cover
Love your videos Ben, keep them coming!
Great project ... You don't need a reason when an experience is your goal. Very nice work!
Wow. This project got serious. Looks Awesome!!!
The night shots are amazing, cool project!
Ben, this project isn't good, it is AWESOME! Fantastic idea.
This feels like a destination art installation. Something that would make people want to visit so they can witness and Instagram from it/about it. Good work, Ben.
Genius & Creative! Imagine the landing to first floor of a house construction with this idea.
Wow! Very cool. Important to see all the work that went into it. Pretty elaborate
Now you just need colorful lights that dance to your fave tunes!
Disco in the desert!
Rent out the platform to photographers for model shoots.
I second this idea
Agreed. The Instagram Influencers would be all over this.
@@austint19 hell yeah, dude id definitely pay to shoot here
Gotta give instagram losers a platform...
@@austint19 except that these people wouldnt pay with anything but "exposure"
Interesting build. I like it! It seems the desert always brings out the most creative elements of those who reside in it.
Really love what you said about "experiences"... as a society we should be more focused on that over things. This was a cool build and enjoyed watching it start to finish.
Always brilliant stuff from Ben!
It’s absolutely awesome ! It needs to be bigger !!!
Very pretty! Your own disco floor on a mountain!
That is SUPER COOL!!!!!
Wow great idea!!! Very creative... thanks for thinking out of a box.. keep it up!! Looking forward for more videos.... and can't wait to ur next project...... keep shining!!
Amazing! Simply amazing! I love it.
Awesome video can't wait till the furniture builds
Light it up 🔥🔥🔥
Another cool elegant design. Well done
This is such an awesome build dude nice one
It's really cool. I hope the reflection of the sun on the glass blocks won't kill the birds flying above it.
Just what that amazing landscape needed.
Really beautiful!!!
Super job. Great idea. Keep them coming
This came out so beautiful! IDK, but men that are creative and like to build things from scratch and are not affraid to get their hands dirty are very appealing.
Really cool! I always loved those blocks.
THIS IS REALLY BEAUTIFUL
Really cool what you were able to do....AT THE TOP OF A MOUNTAIN!
Piece of art! I love it!
Ive been wanting to use the glass blocks with LEDs for a walking path in the backyard. Awesome idea for a deck.
Oh ok, we are just going to skim over the fact this dude has his own mountain. Cool.
Wow that’s so amazing I love it!!!
I would never make something like that, but man that is super cool.
I enjoyed the build. Great job
Fantastic, thanks! I've always loved glass block too. I had been throwing around some similar ideas, but your video gave me some ways to improve it. Great job :)
Very cool use of glass blocks
You are super creative! I always watch your channel keep up the good work!
My goodness, that is inspiring!
thank you David!
Beautiful Work! Gotta love this channel...
Awesome, thank you, will build this on my 2nd story deck.
You actually did a lot of work. Great!!
Great build really innovative.
WOW!! TALK ABOUT "OUTSIDE THE GLASS BOX"!!! AMAZING!!! VERY COOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This is just plain cool.
Very cool!
I love that deck!
i am bummed that you did not build this in your house like your other wonderful projects but on the other hand, I am impressed with your back yard! LOL. Nice build!
Definitely makes you think of all the possibilities with glass block.
☝️ This is all I came to say....
Nice build, great idea.
definitely some translucent or white furniture 🤘🏻🤘🏻
Looks like something I would do
Definitely like it very creative sir
If only this work of creativity somehow spoke of life and its meaning. Actually, it does. Some people have so much time on there hands...it...doesn't make me bitter? I think? 🙂
Legendary work.
I love it, great idea. Greetings from Mexico!!
Disco in the desert!
That is such a dope idea 😄
Would be great for a club or similar location, where people hang out after dark.
Will the glass stones hold up to being walked on with sandy shoes all the time though? I would imagine, that they become rather scratched and dull after a while. Although that might not make them less pretty at night...just at daytime, maybe.
Nice 👍 adding Solar panels under the glass blocks along with batt. and controls...yeah probably too diffused👍
Really nice design.
Awesome project! Now you need to find a way to float a disco ball above the floor. Oh, and add lasers. And a fog machine, a sound system - and a hot tub!
Absolutely so cool!! Just so cool!!!
I’m thinking acrylic clear “ghost” chairs, very nice 👍😊
Yes!
Now this is a certified banger project! Now i want to experiment with glass blocks. I thought Chris is the moonwalk specialist....
Really cool Ben! 👍🏻👊🏻
Superb ! Perspex type furniture would look cool it would possibly absorb some of the light from below !
As someone that sells glass block and structural glass floors, this is a beautiful application!
The rock carrier video is when I subscribed
Very cool project and video. I'm sure you heard about James Turrell, who's got his own mountain too (a volcano actually), and this made me think of his work. Bravo!
That is so cool... Now I'm going to have to build a smaller version at my parent's house... Thanks for the idea... 👍
Wow! Nice work. You can also rent out for photo shoots!!! 😁 beautiful background for sure.
That is superb.
Love this!
Dude. That is incredible. I know that took a lot of work, but was well worth it.
Respect from Egypt man
So cool. Now I just need a mountain. Geez Ben! 🤣
Very creative !!!
Great Video
So cool!
Clear acrylic deck furniture!
Great video, wish I had one of these
Very cool and even better that its done in a place with no electricity.
Have you contemplated altering it to run of a standalone solar panel?
Super Cool!
Love it.❤..U did it BeCause Your Open Minded , A Leader, & Talented...👊😁..Keep Doin You...🤓...& thats a cool project 😎😁
Great project😎
